MAIN OFFICE TOWER
Competition, concept and development stages. Nanjing, China. 42,000 m2
I contributed as part of the design team of the main administration tower to win the competition of a 220,000m2 master plan. I took the lead to continue the design process throughout the 100% concept design submission and schematic design of the 42,000 m2 building. I was involved more than one year in these stages in which I contribute to conceptualize the first images of the tower and podium and turn them into basic architecural plans.

During the concept design I developed with the client a specific URS. At the same time I managed a team to continue designing interior layouts according to code and LDI requirements. Reporting to associate coordinating whole master plan and preparing submissions according to schedule.

During design development I produced facade sections along with Partner in charge and LDI as consultants. Also worked with the facade company to produce detail drawings of tower curtain wall and podium facade.
• At 50% DD submission client required operable windows in tower, which lead to a redesign of the facade. I proposed windows solution and adapted facade sections accordingly. • After government submission I made a full modification of fire compartments strategy to avoid modifying layouts and get official approval.
NJ OFFICE BUILDING

This is a 7 storey office building of 37,000 m2 within a R&D and production campus . This main administration building is placed on the long facade of the site and sets back to create the most important area and access point to the site. I contributed to this project developing the facade design, providing facade section and quality control of all the documents and plans provided at each submission.

During the construction stage I coordinated the modification of the building section, increasing length of cantilevering boxes due to a client request. •I was responsible for reviewing LDI final blueprints and produce reports of findings to Partner before signing design approval. • I also reviewed the tender documents from facade companies, and selected the best candidates and later visit and evaluate mock ups to select final candidate.
LANXI CULTURAL VILLAGE Competition. Lanxi, China. 34,000 m2
Master plan to develop a goverment owned land into a tourist area.I was responsible of conceptualizing “Tea cultural village” presenting concept ideas to associate and Partner in charge. • Lead design of architecture schemes, according to partners general concept.

TONGXIAN MASTER PLAN

Master plan for a private company with production, research and development and office buildings. I developed the master plan and transform client requirements of areas into buildings and organize them according land official use and basic building requirements.
• I Coordinated production plans and images for presentations. • Developed traffic routes • I studied and generated basic shape of buildings and facades.
• I designed diagrams to explain laboratories area efficiency to client and coordination between layout and building elements.
BAOSHAN CREATIVE CENTER

This project is a conversion of a structure meant to be a supermarket store into a office building. I was responsible for designing 3 atriums to bring natural daylight into the building. • I worked with an energy engineer to improve atriums energy and daylight efficiency. • I achieved agreements with LDI to improve the desired design after reviewing structural calculations. • I did site visits to supervise that construction of atriums was according to design
•I worked with a team and created diagrams to make a presentation for clients and investors. • Conducted weekly reports for internal and client meetings and coordinated site visits with engineers and suppliers to improve construction details. • I designed staircases in atriums and worked with structural engineers to make possible cantilevered parts and connections to existing beams.
BUSINESS CENTER

An existing building turned into a business center and an apartment for a private client. I coordinated and consulted technical architects to produce the general details, including wall types, suspended ceiling and its connections to wall and facade.
• My main responsibility was to oversee production of all drawings and report to Partners any details that would modify concept or renderings approved by client. • I proposed design schemes of external and internal facades. As well as main interior elements such as the staircase.
BUSINESS CENTER

• During the construction stage I organized meetings with suppliers and consultants and present selected samples and made recommendations to Partner according to quality. • Also modify details and general drawings according to specific systems/materials after feedback from suppliers
• I produced detailed drawings such as window details and oversaw office standards and quality control of junior staff

Office and warehouse for a private company in an industrial area. I worked during the conceptual design stage studying the orientation, proportions and size of the pitched roof. • I produced all CAD drawings • I assisted in design working directly with principal in charge. • I attended to the meetings to assist architect in charge and was responsible for all communication with clients and identifying the true needs and concerns.
CHAPALA HOUSE

A weekend house for a private client near Guadalajara city. • I produced all drawings and textured plans set for press and presentations. • I contributed the design of whole house specially facade and ceiling system.
• I produced physical model to present a final concept design submission to client. • I managed all communication with client and was responsible for budget and coordination of payments of client-architect-contractors.
I worked with local workers to solve how to build textile facade and stone walls and further after I supervise construction.
PATIOS HOUSE

Private residence renovation and extension. I contributed to design of the extension and organized the creation of interior courtyards. My main task was to produce all drawings and detailed drawings for constructors of steel structures and concrete vaulted ceiling. • I solved and improved connection and corners between steel columns and beams. • I realized periodical site visits to overview construction. • Managed all communication with the client and presentations. • I reached agreement with client to extend contract and design outdoor areas and garden.
RURAL HOUSE I
Concept design. Guadalajara, Mexico. 250 m2
An independent work. A weekend house in a rural area. There are few existing walls and the challenge was to design a contemporary house that also feels integrated to the natural conditions. The building needed to be able to close itself completely to protect from animals and vandalism. The house is divided into two areas; common areas and bedrooms. The materials are exposed local stone walls and a steel structure for the roof and columns.
RURAL HOUSE II

Two weekend houses in a rural area consisted of 2 single elements with a subtle bend to divide common areas from bedroom. The main idea is to create an affordable, quick to assemble house. It is built with a stone base as a foundation, steel profiles for main structure and concrete panels for the facade cladding.
