Velasca Tower Workshop “Master Bim Manager” Politecnico di Milano 2015 Milan
Velasca Tower in Milan was built in the years 1956-58, designed by the architectural firm of BBPR. The building consists of 29 floors, two of them underground. The plants are organized around a central part, which contains the vertical distribution elements (elevator and stairs), and which forms the core of the Tower; this core consists of concrete walls continuous and it was entrusted with the bracing function. The perimeter of the building consists of the main pillars, as curtain walls in traditional masonry inward and outward in prefabricated panels. The goal of the workshop was to give back, based on a model created in Revit, the data and information necessary for maintenance work involving non-structural facade elements. 8

Largo Pignasecca Student Housing 2012 Napoli
The building is located in a strategic area, it is close to the square Largo Pignasecca, a crossroads of people flows and trade . The ground floor is permeable not only by students but also by local residents. The building develops on seven floors to complete the existing building a curtain in the past. This urban void has been restored by an architectural solution that responded first to the needs of the distinction between public and private aspects. The first three floors are dedicated to community activities such as conference room, bar district library and refectory, while the remaining floors to residences.

The masterplan about a regeneration of a piece of the city, the east area of Naples, was born by idea to realize a new “Urban Park” that will be like a frame to the consolidated historical center, closing the green ring that starts from the hill of Camaldoli and it ends up to the sea. The area is characterized by a clear urban tale, that of an agricultural plot is resistant to the proximity of an industrial plot that still live badly, showing a degradation of this piece of the city. The overlap of these two plots, agricultural or industrial generates, through a compositional game, the design of the master plan.

The shape of the buildings is born complying this overlap. The building, born from this compositional language, becomes an integral part of a new system of relations and aims to achieve a balance between the public and private spheres through a hinge element represented by a square.

ellipsoidal dome of tlmaya Workshop “Geodediche structures and self-construction” with Arch. Biagio Di Carlo and Viviamolaq 2014 L’Aquila
Unlike the other domes based on the sphere sections, the Tlamaya dome is related to a oblate ellipsoid sectioned to 3/4 and it is the first bamboo dome of big size (10m in diameter) utilizing the mutual coupling of Leonardo . The dome was built at the Faculty of Engineering in L’ Aquila.
