MASSING
There are more than 100 towers spreads over Qingdao and most of them are offices. How can ICC distinguish itself among tower forest? The immediate adjacency to two existing conventional centers, ICC has to define a typology that promotes human interaction and communication.
The same amount of urban substance can be configured in many different ways from a compact Monolith to dispersed low-rise. -Leslie Martin 1960’s same volume in different configuration

(TOP LEFT) 1 to 1 system: Individual responses to each program’s needs. This demands more resources. (TOP RIGHT): Joining individuals to share resources. This breaks the boundary and engages activities.
