2016
The main strategy of this project can be called as preservation of historical buildings. The aim was to keep existing buildings, but to create comfortable space of trade street between them. This construction supposed to be a hybrid system: big openings can be opened when necessary, providing the feeling of an open air space inside or completely closed for a comfortable environment all seasons. The design of the new roof is solved with new columns. The proposal study carefully the design of the roof to reduce the number of new columns. The position of the new columns is close to the existing walls to avoid disturb the circulation in the inner street.

This project strategy was to create "cultural window" in historical valuable Wenchangli district of Fuzhou city, Jiangxi province, which is belong to Linchuan Cultural area. For the 1st stage of intervention Henjie street was chosen, as a strategic connection between western new town and eastern old temple. Mainly, we proposed 4 functional blocks for this area based on a history of this place: Linchuan humanistic culture area, River Culture area, Opera culture area and Linchuan culture functions. For further development we chose a node to design first, located strategically on a intersection of two pedestrian streets, to create the most important public functions here: hotel, library, museums of traditional crafts.

Bamiyan Cultural Center. Bamiyan, Afganistan

2015
Richness and expressiveness of Bamiyan Valley environment inspired a very laconic building, which is completely subordinated to the landscape and caused by maximally preserving of the view richness and contemplative potential of this place. Being seen only from a distance this building establishes almost imperceptibly a permanent dialogue with the landscape of the Bamiyan valley. The roof passes into landscaping, unveiling a solid pedestrian space system. Light, shadow, texture and matter extract the perceptive richness of the local culture idensity. High difference of relief made the planning of outdoor amphitheater possible. It is the main public area of the cultural center, accomodating more than 1,500 spectators. Performance hall stage is doubleoriented to have an access to the amphitheater. The building appears silently in the landscape, as it had been concealed underground all this time, just like it will keep silent dialogue with the Buddhas.

The project unveils the floor plan which articulates its spaces around a sequence of solid and void spaces, covered areas and courtyards that guide visitors along their itinerary. The main lobby which is a courtyard adjacent to organizes around it the main public spaces: perfomance hall, tea house, store, library, workshops and exhibition halls. Two deep, elongated courtyards articulate the private use areas: administration and research areas. A last courtyard is the extension towards the exterior of the museum exhibition areas.

The idea of cultural associations and exchange between different ethnic groups of Afghanistan has embodied in the planning of the entrance hall. This space is the center of the intersection of flows, not only physical but also visual, being main a point of meanings concentration. The entrance space is organised around the Model of Bamiyan Valley, as quintessence and community idea and a semantic center of the building.

Central zone of the city has the highest level of environment maturity, that why it's transforming is the most appropriate. According to tendency of Ulyanovsk's urban plan transformation, linear-nodal development model of development is suggested. Territory of 'primary transformation point' is expected to be developed according to the linear-nodal model in order to balance existing functional structure of the city center as the second 'public node'.

Media Center is located in the underground floor. It consists of a multifunctional space with a permanent exhibition about urban planning and architecture of Ulyanovsk, stand with an interactive model of the city, and a multi-purpose hall with 176 seats. On the first floor Media center pavilions are located. It is intented for temporary exhibitions, which can work as in common space and as separated units. City Hall for public consultations is also there.

2013
The territory of the Schmidt district is located in Samara, close to the historic center of the city, but is 'cut off' of the city by railway line. This situation has led to degradation of the district. The project offers a development conception of the district, to provide complex reconstruction and development according to it. Customer is a stakeholder of sites with total area of 62 hectares. It is supposed to design a residential area of economy class with the phased development and maximum possible density index. The concept offers the following steps for the integrated development of the district: Phased formation of transport and functional framework; Integration area to the city, creating transport links with the historic center; Designing of high-density block development; Designing of several types of streets: residential streets, shopping streets, main street, highway; Use of recreational potential of Samara river embankment.

The concept of a residential area in Samara, Russia

Functional and social framework of quarter is formed by two pedestrian vectors which basic functions are situated on it: fitness-center, school and kindergarten, sports and playgrounds, day center and social care for older people. Residential groups are focuced on the pedestrian vector. High-density residential development has a mixed character: a mix of public, social and business functions, multi-family housing and townhouses in the lower floors. Quater infrastructure includes jogging tracks and cycle paths.

The hotel consists of two ten-block units with living rooms and a two-storey stylobate part with public places which is organizing courtyard. High-rise blocks are united by a common atrium. The main entrance with a driveway area is faced to the courtyard. In stylobat there are vestibule group on the first floor and a business area on the second, as well as two restaurants. One of them is opened for visitors from the city, the second serves guests on the first floor and visitors of business area on the second as a coffee shop. Hide-rise units are oriented towards the Volga river and have a panoramic bar on the top floor with the most beautiful views.
