An ‘open studio‘ class is an engaging and inspiring experience intended to foster creativity and experimentation. Instructor will be available for individualized informative technical and design instruction. Instructor will help students gain insights into their creative accomplishments, develop new skills, and explore their preferred styles. All levels welcome. Allowed mediums are watercolor, acrylic, gouache, casein, oil (using non-toxic solvent), graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, and oil pastels. Artists bring their own materials.

Designed for anyone, especially people who feel they cannot draw well, who may feel they have no “talent” for drawing, and may have little hope of learning how to draw. This class is designed for anyone who will be eligible for Medicare within a few months or is new to Medicare. Online Registration Hours for WebRunner linnbenton.edu/webrunner • Register 24 hours a day except 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. on Saturday, and some weekends (closed for system maintenance). Make Your Payments Online and On Time! Make your payments online on WebRunner with credit cards, checking or saving accounts. Late payment will result in a late payment fee of $30 per billing period. It may also result in denial of further credit, impairment of credit history, and additional assessment for late payment fees, collection charges and attorney fees. Personal checks, travelers checks, cashiers checks, and money orders are accepted for the amount due only. Two-party and postdated checks are not accepted. A $20 fee is assessed on any returned check, whether written by you or another party. Factors That May Affect Your Tuition Regional Programs: Some programs are designated “regional,” allowing out-of-state students to pay in-state tuition for the first term. These students must establish and meet LBCC’s residency requirements to qualify for in-state tuition for subsequent terms. Student Activity and Program Fee: Students are assessed $2.15 per credit as a student activity/ program fee (included in the chart above). Income derived from this fee supports extracurricular activities and programs. Note: These fees are subject to change. An ASLBCC fee is assessed per term at a rate of $4.30 for 1-5 credits or $8.60 for 6 or more credits. Payment Information Payment deadlines can be found at linnbenton.edu/paymentdue-dates. Payment is due at time of registration. Late fees will be assessed on the dates listed at linnbenton.edu/ payment-due-dates. Check your current account balance information on WebRunner or call 541-917-4303. You will be charged $45 and your account will be placed on hold if payment in full is not made by the first late fee assessed date. Any unpaid balance will be charged an additional $30 as of the second late fee assessed date. Payment must be made by11:59 p.m. of the late fee assessed date. Tuition Refunds for Dropped Classes To receive a tuition refund, you must drop a class via WebRunner or by submitting a Schedule Change Form at the Registration Counter in Takena Hall or at one of the LBCC centers by the drop deadlines listed below. (When using WebRunner, be sure to SUBMIT your changes.)

Failure to Pay: All Student Accounts If you fail to make timely payments (including late-payment fees), the college may require immediate payment of the entire account balance. The college will refer the account to an outside collection agency for failure to pay as agreed and will report the status of the account to a credit reporting bureau. If the account is referred to a collection agency and/or an attorney, collection, court and attorney costs will be added to the account. Transcript requests will not be processed if an account is delinquent. LBCC has the right, without prior notice, to stop or suspend the extension of credit and withhold services if billings are returned by the postal service or if minimum payments are not made on time. Withholding services includes, but is not limited to, registration for classes and workshops. The college may change the terms of the LBCC Payment Plan and may change existing and future charges at any time. Notice will be made in advance as required by law. Registration Information Once you register for a class, you are responsible for all tuition and fees unless you drop the class before the refund deadline. WARNING: The instructor may drop students who do not attend the first scheduled day or week. If you have not attended class and the instructor has not dropped you, you are still responsible for payment. Check your registration status with the class instructor or on WebRunner prior to the end of the second week for full-term classes. Emergency Closure Notification Services Classes are not held if the college is closed due to bad weather, hazardous driving conditions or other emergency situations. College officials notify local radio stations and Eugene-area TV stations by 6 a.m. for daytime closures or by 3 p.m. for evening closures. Closures for evening and weekend classes and other activities follow this same schedule. Announcements are available on the LBCC switchboard, 541-917-4999, and on the college Web site: www.linnbenton.edu. LBCC uses a program called ReGroup to deliver mass notifications of emergency situations at LBCC. Such situations could range from campus closure due to inclement weather to natural disasters, toxic air hazards, an incidence of violence, or other urgent situations. Students and staff will receive these notifications via the campus email and the cell phone number they have provided in WebRunner. Friends, parents, family members, or business contacts that would like to receive these notifications can be directed to sign up at https://linnbenton.regroup.com/signup

50 Residency Policy In-state tuition To qualify for in-state tuition, you must be an American citizen or immigrant and must have lived in Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada or Washington for at least 90 continuous days immediately before you enroll (as per OAR 589-002-0200). For a list of documents to show proof of residency, contact the Director of Enrollment and Management 541-917-4811. Residency application forms are at www.linnbenton.edu/forms. Out-of-state tuition: If your permanent residence is outside Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada or Washington, you will pay out-of-state tuition. International tuition: If you are a citizen of another country living in the U.S. on a nonimmigrant visa, you will pay international tuition rates regardless of the length of your residency within the state. Records Information In accordance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, LBCC considers the following to be directory information—student’s name, address, telephone listing, email, major field of study, participation in officially recognized activities and sports, weight and height of athletes, dates of attendance, school or division of enrollment, degrees and awards received. Forms to request restriction of the release of directory information are available in the Registration Office. Students who do not want to have this information released by the college must complete one of these forms. Students must notify the college by the time of registration to ensure that information will not be released during the term. Student Right to Know Linn-Benton Community College is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff and guests. The college complies with the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 by maintaining an Annual Campus Safety Report that contains statistics on crimes and incidents that occurred on the main campus and all offcampus centers. The number will be used by the college for reporting, research, and record keeping. If taking credit courses, you are required to provide the college with your SSN in order to receive a 1098T statement for federal educational tax benefits. OCCURS or the college may provide your Social Security number to the following agencies or match it with records from the following systems: • The National Student Clearinghouse, to track community college students go on with their education at different institutions. • The Oregon Employment Department to help state and local agencies plan education and training services to help Oregon citizens get the best jobs available.

• The Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC), to provide reports to local, state, and federal governments.
