AERIAL CABLEWAY

Guest card “Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass”

The Guest Pass facilitates holidaymakers’ the exploration of the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm as well as the wider region of South Tyrol, providing a single-ticket access to all types of public transport, such as train and bus. Once you have activated your Guest Pass, it remains valid for the durations of your stay. Guests who have booked a longer stay, receive a second Guest Pass after 7 days.

The Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable and needs to be voided each time you travel. Dogs don’t get the Guest Pass and have to pay the regular fare in the busses of the Public Transport Services. The transfer of dogs in the shuttle busses is free of charge. If the Guest Pass receives the stamping “unleserlich/illeggibile” (meaning “unreadable”) when it is voided, it is still valid that day. In the evening, it has to be substituted for a new Guest Pass by your accommodation.

Attention: The Guest Pass is not valid for the following lines: Seiser

Alm Express (Bus Route 10: Seis > Kastelruth > Compatsch), Almbus (Bus Route 11: Compatsch > Saltria) and N170 Nightliner Schlern.

Nature park

Schlern-Rosengarten

Measuring 7,292 hectares, the Nature park is located in South Tyrol‘s western Dolomite Mountains. The park, together with the regional conservation area of the Seiser Alm, forms a single natural landscape. The Schlern, whose highest peak is the Pez (2,563m above sea level), gives this nature park its name and, together with the Santner and Euringer peaks, forms an impressive mass of mountain that is considered to be one of the landmarks of South Tyrol. The mountainous woodland around Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten as well as the Tschamin valley belongs to the nature park. In 2003 the Nature park was extended in the local authority area of Tiers am Rosengarten. Since then the Rosengarten massif is also part of the conservation area.

Generally speaking shops are open from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon and from 3.30 pm to 7.00 pm and on Saturday from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon.

During the high season shops are also open on Saturday afternoon, some also on Sundays. In the event of any doubt ask your landlord or the Tourist Offices.

Shuttle Buses

(Bus Route 2, 3, 3A, 5, 13, 15)

The following tickets are accepted in the Shuttle Buses as a ticket: Combi Card, Seiser Alm Card Gold, Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass and all tickets of the Public Transport Services Südtirol/Alto Adige. For all other passengers the one-day-ticket (3.00 €), the 3-dayticket (7.00 €) and the 7-day ticket (9.00 €) are available at the Automatic Ticket Distribution, the 1-day ticket is also available at the Tourist Office of Kastelruth and Seis am Schlern. It is not possible to purchase tickets on the shuttle buses. Children born after 21.05.2015 free of charge.

Public Transport Buses

(Bus Route 170, 172, 176, 177, 185)

On public buses all tickets of the Public Transport Services are valid. The tickets are issued on the bus. Also the Guest card “Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass” is valid on all public services. Tickets for the Shuttle-Buses (1-day, 3-day and 7-day, Combi Card and Seiser Alm Card Gold) are not accepted on public services. Children (0-5) free of charge.

Seiser Alm Express (Bus Route 10): Seis > Kastelruth > Seiser Alm

The Seiser Alm Express is included only in the Combi Card and the Seiser Alm Card Gold. All other tickets are not valid not even the Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass. When purchased individually, a round-trip ticket costs 24.00 €. You can purchase tickets directly on the buses. Children (born after 21.05.2015) free of charge.

Almbus (Bus Route 11): Compatsch > Ritsch

The Almbus is included only in the Combi Card and in the Seiser Alm Card Gold. All other tickets also the Südtirol Alto Adige Guest Pass are not valid.

One-way ticket: 3.00 €

Round-trip ticket: 6.00 € You can get the one-way as well as the roundtrip ticket from the ticket dispenser at the bus stop in Compatsch or in Saltria and directly in the bus.

3-day ticket: 9.00 €

7-day ticket: 15.00 €

The 3-days and the 7-days ticket are available at the tourist office Seiser Alm in Compatsch.

Closure of the road to the Seiser Alm

The road leading to the Seiser Alm Nature Protection Reserve is closed from 9.00am to 5.00pm (exception for guests of facilities located on the Seiser Alm).

There is a large free parking lot for buses and cars at the valley station of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway. The parking fee for the Compatsch Parking Lot on the Seiser Alm is 24.00 € for cars and 120.00 € for buses.

Bicycle transport

Traffic regulation on the Seiser Alm

The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm with the Seiser Alm cable car or by bus. You can return from Compatsch at any time. Guests, who have booked an accomodation on the Seiser Alm, have the following special permission to use their cars:

• You can arrive and depart from the accomodation you have booked at any time.

• During your stay you can drive from your hotel to Compatsch before 10.00 am and after 5.00 pm. Between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm private traffic is not allowed on the Seiser Alm.

• you will receive your special permission to to use and park your car either on your arrival at the Info-Point in St. Valentin, in the Seiser Alm Tourist Office or directly from your host.

Ban on driving in village centers

Our village centers are subject to traffic-reducing measures and at certain times there are total bans on traffic. The times when traffic is banned vary according to the season. Please note the appropriate information signs. Leaving your caravan anywhere in the area of the Schlern is forbidden.

Our „Hofschank“ is open from Wednesday to Sunday, warm cuisine from 5 p.m to 8.30 p.m. We would like to treat you to our traditional homemade dishes , we use as many products as possible from our farm. In autumn we offer „ Törggelen“. Book a nice place! +39 371 374 90 09.

Farm store sells delicious products directly from the farm and our garden. You will find a large selection of farm products from the Huberhof and the surrounding farms in Fiè allo Sciliar.

The farm shop is always open from Wednesday to Sunday from 5 p.m. to around 7 p.m.

On Thursdays we also offer farm and garden tours on request.

The Guest Pass facilitates holidaymakers’ exploration of the Seiser Alm holiday area as well as the wider region of South Tyrol, providing a single-ticket access to all types of public transport, such as train and bus.

- The Shuttle Bus Service of the Dolomites Region Seiser Alm (except bus routes 10, 11 and 12)

- regional and local trains from Brennero as far as Trento and from Malles to San Candido

- bus services throughout the province (town, suburban and city buses)

- the Renon, Colle, Maranza, Meltina and Verano cable cars

- the narrow track Renon railway and the Mendola cable railway

- Malles and Zernez on a Swiss Postbus service

- discount on Combi Card and Nordic Pass (discount: 3 in 7 or 7 days = 2,00 €; 14 days = 4,00 €)

The Guest Pass is valid for 7 days. Guests who have booked a longer stay, receive a second Guest Pass after 7 days. The Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable and need to be voided each time you travel. Dogs don‘t have the right to get the Guest Pass and have to pay the regular fare in the public bus services. The transfer of dogs in the shuttle busses is free of charge. If the Guest Pass receives the stamping unleserlich/illeggibile” (meaning “unreadable”) when it is voided, it is still valid that day. In the evening, it has to be substituted for a new Guest Pass by your accommodation.
