Want to t THE Nation al Council rea lizes tha t many Alpha Sigma T aus are giving a great deal of time a nd thought to their sorority locally. We know this by the fin e cha pters th a t have been developed, by the worthwhil e project that h ave b een undertaken, and by the effi ciency with which rela tionsh ips b etween th e nation al organization and the ch a pters h ave been hand led. Wha t is needed now are more alumnae to broa den their horizons to incl ude the national cene. U nl ess we can ge t more volunteers on a n ational level it will be im poss~b l e to continue to pa rtic:pate in all the activities of N PC, a nd to be unable to sen d delegates to their mee tings would be a disadvan tage to us. H a sorority has a high ratin g n ationall y it is much easier to obtain desira bl e girls during the rush eason . So it 路:s of importa nce locally h ow th e soro rity sta nds na tionally. W e have some very fin e al umnae representative who keep in touch with all th e alu m n ae, write th e newsletters, an d advise the co ll ege ch apters a to national procedure. If you h aven ' t received a new letter th is year, the ch ances a re th a t a n alumn ae. repre entati ve is needed from you r ch apter. Every State n eeds a State C h airman to keep a breast of trends on cam pu es, to be awa re of concentration of A:lph a Sigma Taus

so tha t n ew alu mnae and colleg1at chapter ca n be e taJbl路ished . For anyone who njoy meeting peop le, making n ew fri nd , an d traveling this is a rewarding job. Of cour e the sorority pay th e traveling exp n s . Every chapter needs a SUJb cription Chairman to work clo ely with the National Chairma n, Mrs. P reston Sewell. T here are great possib ilities for making money through the agency which have not as yet been ex plored. H ow many of u are aware that all sp c路al offe rs which we receive for redu ced rat will be honored by our agency? Simply end the subscri p tion money with th e ad erti ement to M rs . Sewell. Surely we wan t Alph a Sigma Tau to rrrow. To accom plish thi more of us will have to volun teer to work on a national level. If you h ave time to con tribute but cannot travel ; or if you can travel and would like to be an Alumna e R epre entative or a tate C h airman, fi ll ou t the coupon on the n xt page an d mail it to the C en tra l Office. If you ha e time bu t do not ee how our talents can b pu t to u e in an of thee ategorie or if you r chapter ha a full quota of active worker fi ll ou t the coupon . Another chap ter or the C entral Office ca n make u e of your time. So let u hea r from ou! The ituation i eriou enough th at if vol un teeer ar not obtained, paid ' orke
