La solució: Dues bigues laterals cosides

Oriol Rosselló: Va ser molt bonic veure com treballàvem en equip, el calculista Albert des del punt de vista estàtic, Max des de la materialització i la posada en obra, i jo mateix intentant salvar la filosofia del projecte.

El què vàrem fer va ser cosir dues bigues laterals. El resultat és una solució estèticament molt bella, una síntesi entre l’existent i la proposta, sense amagar res. Està quedant molt bé i el client es mostra encantat perquè la desviació pressupostària és mínima.

Oriol Rosselló: En una coberta que ja existia hi havia un pilar ceràmic enorme de 65 x 75 al mig. El vàrem treure i en el projecte no volíem fer servir ni formigó ni acer.

Max Rutgers: És en situacions així quan t’has d’esprémer el cervell per trobar una solució que acompleixi els criteris d’estètica i resistència, mantenint al mateix temps el pressupost.

Oriol Rosselló. Hi havia doncs una biga que havíem de treure. La primera opció era col·locar una de més potent de costat a costat, però això era inviable en la posada en obra. Oriol Rosselló: On an existing roof there was a 65x75 pillar in the middle, we needed to remove it but didn’t want to use concrete or steel in the project.

Max Rutgers: That’s when you have to start researching a solution that at the same time complies with aesthetics, offers resilience and keeps to the budget.

Oriol Rosselló: We had a beam that needed to be removed. The first option was to remove this beam and insert a stronger

one from side to side. This, for reasons of implementation, was unfeasible.

The solution: Two stitched side beams

Oriol Rosselló: It was interesting to see howwith the calculator in hand, Albert works from a static point of view, Max from the point of view of materialization and implementation and me trying to save the philosophy of the project. What we did was sew two side rafters. With this solution you have a synthesis between existence and proposal without hiding it. It looks great and the customer is delighted with life because the budgetary deviation is negligible.
