I'm sad to be leaving this great division but all good things must come to an end for a brand new beginning. I would like to thank everyone on the DLT for being so welcoming and kind. Message from Your Division News Editor Hey hedgehogs!! What’s poppin, D13W! For the last time of this term, I proudly serve as Division 13 West’s Executive Assistant, Head Spirit Coordinator, and president of my home club, Larchmont Charter Key Club. Wow. It’s been a ride this key club term. I remember joining DLT with mixed nervousness and excitement, but over this past year, I have grown closer with each person on DLT. This term was filled with ups and downs, but we made it through together. The hard work we all went through to provide the best events for this division is so commendable. I’d like to give a special thanks to Nessa, our wonderful lieutenant governor, who is such a strong leader and so supportive to all of us. She works day-in and day-out for key club. Nessa always knew how to make me laugh, and no matter how late a few spirit team meetings would go, she would stay on the meeting, even if it was until 1 a.m. I’d also like to give thanks to Earl Lawrence Bumagat, my ½ head spirit coordinator. Earl, I don’t know how to explain how thankful I am for you. I remember dming you on Instagram first to talk about ASB, and we clicked right away. You were there to support me all the way. We stayed up until 3 a.m. to make RTC slides, when we had to get up at 6:30 in the morning.

We taught chants on the balcony of Barnes and Noble at the Grove, while strangers were looking at us, while we were screaming, “we feel good!” Earl and I were at Grand Park until dark with bruised knees from making our spirit sticks on concrete. We had many FaceTime calls until 3 a.m. editing chants. Earl has worked so hard, and I appreciate him so so much. Thank you Earl for being my ½. Faye Nguyen, thank you so much for being apart of spirit team, and giving it your all. Earl, Faye, and I were really the jumping beans when we were practicing chants until our veins popped out from our forehead and we lost our voices. We always looked out for each other, and I have made so many funny memories with the two of you. Elia, Janelle, Liz, Needle, Laura, Anya, and Heidi, thank you for all of the love and support you all have given me. We have gotten so much closer as DLT, and I wish the best for each and every one of you. I’d also like to thank everyone on Spirit Team, Dahlia, Teresa, Eilyn, and Rohm, for working through all the challenges. It was a pleasure working with all of you, and thank you for bringing so much spirit to the team. I would like to thank everyone in my home club at Larchmont Charter and Mr. Tam, my advisor, for coming out to events and believing in this club. I cannot wait for next term! Thank you to everyone who was apart of the journey and to everyone who put in the work, put in the hours to make great things happen. Without all of you, it wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you.

MARJORIE LUZURIAGA EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT SPIRIT COORDINATOR

Message from Your Division News Editor Hey Everyone Hello everyone! As y’all know, my name is Earl and this is my last time proudly serving as ½ of your head spirit coordinators. This whole term has been a joyous ride with outcomes that I never would have expected. My journey started out with participating in Zoom calls and service projects last term to joining the spirit team and being promoted to ½ head spirit by Marjorie and Nessa. Though this was a great responsibility I was unsure of taking on, I was heavily supported by these people, the rest of the DLT, and the Spirit Team which includes Eilyn, Teresa, Rohm, and Dahlia. Because of my experience here, I got to see myself grow and contribute more to Key Club and to our division. Despite the challenges we faced, especially during RTC and FRS, we were able to overcome them as a division. We won by becoming stronger and united as a division. As a division, we screamed our hearts and spirits out and I am so proud of us. And I see our growth even now, at our last event of the term. Thank you for having me.

Earl Lawrence Spirit Cordinator

Message from Your Division News Editor HHey Hey Hedgehogs!!! My name is Laura Renero and I proudly serve as one of your Executive Assistants for this term! You might have met me during attendance at our events. I would like to say it was a pleasure meeting some of you and I’d like to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time during the weekend to come to one of our division events! Your participation has made this division stronger and has even brought DLT closer together. I would also like to highlight my appreciation for my DLT team. You guys have been so welcoming, respectful, and hardworking this year. Your work has made my experience with Key Club much more memorable. You guys have made me laugh each day with the unique situations we encountered during this term. Although I might be shy at times, you guys taught me how to open up a bit and how to be more confident. There is so much more I need to learn and I look forward to building a deeper friendship. I want to keep this farewell message short because our journey together is not over just yet. Hedgehogs, please take care of yourself and look forward to our next term with our amazing LTG elect!!
