INTRODUCTION

The fact that you are reading this means you have taken the first step towards a great experience, congratulations. The Organizing committee (OC) of the career fair in Tanzania is the team that will ensure the happening of this event, taking care of all details from the smallest task to the most important.


DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT Career fair is an annual event organized by AIESEC in Tanzania that seeks to bring employers and prospective employees together through an informal but interactive gathering. Through this event a large number of companies are brought together in one location where students get to explore their career options. This event has proved to be a great success over 12 years consistently benefiting both students and companies alike.

The event includes skill workshops, CV writing competition, speed interviews and exhibitions. It will be conducted in Dar es salaam(UDSM) on the 15th and 16th April 2017.

OCVP LOGISTICS

Key responsibilities

Be the meeting point between the national team and OC team  Organize OC meetings  Lead, organize and ensure compliance of the action plan for the event  Track OC performance and report during weekly meetings to the national team.  Develop strategies for the involvement of AIESEC members and external audience to work on the event.  Deliver a final report of the work done by the OC.  Ensure the overall success of the event Ideal profile  Team management experience  Strong sense of urgency  Excellent work under pressure  Coaching and tracking skills  Solution and results oriented  Availability 15-25 hours per week, increase closer to the event.

     

On -site logistics (Ensure presence of all necessary logistics and raising them from various in- kind sources. Ensuring smooth flow of agenda in terms of logistics On-site delegate servicing and setup for venue Managing transportation for special guests and equipment’s Collecting information about amount of materials which might be needed for the event and provide them Reduce the cost of the event.

OCVP MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS Key responsibilities

OCVP SALES Key responsibilities

 

Creating promotional materials for the event and working closely with MCVP MaC making sure it reaches the right audience. Be the first point of contact between AIESEC and media i.e manage media relations. Overall responsible for social media marketing. Perform related works as required.

Have a good understanding of social media tools Knowledge of graphic software such as adobe Photoshop, HTML Creative in marketing Team management skills Availability 15-20 hrs/ week, increase closer to the event.

Making research about potential partners for youth speak forum Contact and meet with partners for negotiations Work with the national team in preparing proposals and signing contracts with partners Making sure the agreement with partners are delivered Work with OCVP Marketing in raising media partners and OCVP logistics in raising in-kind partners Ensure presence of key people

OCVP COMPANY SERVICING Key responsibilities

Communicate with companies to know all the requirements needed Serve the companies during the event and allocate teamster to companies Inform companies on the progress of event Work with logistics to ensure companies equipment’s are taken and brought back to the company after the event Ideal profile
