Hace un mes les anunciaba que en agosto incorporábamos a Córdoba (Argentina) como uno de nuestros nuevos destinos, sin embargo lo ocurrido durante el vuelo inaugural traspasó nuestras previsiones, porque se convirtió en un evento histórico para la aviación comercial y para Amaszonas, como grupo de aerolíneas, en particular. Por primera vez en Sudamérica se realizó un doble vuelo inaugural de dos aerolíneas diferentes, aunque del mismo grupo, que aterrizaron de manera simultánea en el Aeropuerto de Córdoba. Como les habíamos anunciado Amaszonas Uruguay realiza la conexión Montevideo – Córdoba – Montevideo y en breve lo hará Amaszonas Línea Aérea de Bolivia con la conexión Santa Cruz – Córdoba – Santa Cruz. Para este septiembre, me place informarle que iniciaremos la conexión Sucre – Uyuni, uniendo de esta manera a dos ciudades turísticas muy importantes de Bolivia y ofreciendo al turista la posibilidad de ampliar su circuito de visitas por otras ciudades. Asimismo estamos estudiando nuevos destinos en la chiquitania de Santa Cruz (Bolivia), de manera particular las misiones jesuíticas y zonas cercanas al Parque Noel Kempf Mercado, las mismas que nos ofrecerán la oportunidad de brindar un homenaje a Santa Cruz, que este mes de septiembre está de aniversario. Otro circuito turístico apoyado por Amaszonas Paraguay, es el que recientemente presentó el Ministerio de Turismo de Paraguay con la ruta en homenaje al prócer uruguayo, General Jose Gervasio Artigas y que consiste en consolidar un circuito de Montevideo a Asunción siguiendo las huellas del héroe uruguayo que vivió en Paraguay. Tuve la satisfacción, a través de nuestra aerolínea Amaszonas Uruguay, de firmar hace poco nuestra adhesión a la marca país “Uruguay Natural” durante el Lanzamiento oficial de la aerolínea uruguaya en Montevideo. Esta adhesión permitirá que nuestras aeronaves de la aerolínea uruguaya lleven la “Marca País” junto a los colores de la bandera uruguaya, para reafirmar nuestra identidad con cada país en el que operamos.

A month ago, I announced that in August we would incorporate Cordoba (Argentina) as one of our new destinations. What occured during that inaugural flight surpassed our expectations as it became a historic event for commercial aviation and for the Amaszonas group of airlines, in particular. For the first time in South America, there was a double inaugural flight of two different airlines landing simultaneously at Cordoba airport, albeit both from the same airline group. As we had announced Amaszonas Uruguay is making the connection Montevideo - Córdoba - Montevideo and soon Amaszonas Airline of Bolivia will make the connection Santa Cruz Córdoba - Santa Cruz. Now, I am pleased to inform you that in September we will start the Sucre - Uyuni connection, thus bringing together two very important tourism cities in Bolivia and offering tourists the possibility of expanding their tourism route to additional cities. We are also studying new destinations in the Chiquitania region of Santa Cruz (Bolivia), in particular to reach the Jesuit Missions and areas near the Noel Kempf Mercado Park. This will provide us with the opportuntiy to pay homage to Santa Cruz, which celebrates its anniversary month in September. Another tourism route supported by Amaszonas Paraguay is the one that the Ministry of Tourism of Paraguay recently presented to honor the Uruguayan hero, General Jose Gervasio Artigas. In such we are consolidating the route that connects Montevideo to Asunción thus following the footsteps of this Uruguayan hero who lived in Paraguay. During the official launch of the airline in Montevideo and together with our airline, Amaszonas Uruguay, I had the pleasure of signing our agreement with the country brand and logo, “Uruguay Natural.” This agreement will allow our Uruguayan airline aircrafts to carry this logo next to the colors of the Uruguayan flag, and thus allow us to reaffirm our identity with each country in which we operate.

Aunque el frío también tiene su lado agradable y ofrece muchas posibilidades de hacer turismo, por fin llega la primavera y es cuando empezamos a celebrar la llegada del calor, tiempo que el trópico comienza a teñirse de un verde más intenso porque los árboles y las plantas han renovado sus hojas, listas para darnos sombra en el momento en que las temperaturas estén en su máxima expresión. El hemisferio sur empieza a desabrigarse y el 21 de septiembre se inicia el equinoccio de primavera fecha en la que los días van aumentando progresivamente su duración, con unas 12 horas de luz y, en consecuencia, las noches tardan más en llegar cada día que pasa. Es el momento en que tanto el polo norte como el sur se encuentran a la misma distancia del Sol. En ese momento, la luz se proyecta por igual en ambos hemisferios. En estas fechas AMASZONAS te invita a que disfrutes destinos como Santa Cruz (Bolivia), donde puedes aventurarte a conocer los sitios ecoturísticos de sus cinco áreas protegidas de carácter nacional. CAMBIAR VIDAS, CAMBIÓ MI VIDA

La línea aérea Amaszonas es aliada de la Fundación “Yo soy mi primer amor”, un programa educativo que busca prevenir la violencia en los hogares.

Podría empezar esta historia diciendo “Erase una vez…” pero no se trata de un cuento de hadas, sino de la vida real, una historia real de mujeres y niñas que un día tomaron una decisión, la decisión de decir “Me elijo YO”. Mi vida cambió cuando Yo Soy Mi Primer Amor me abrió la posibilidad de curarme y ayudar a curar el alma de muchas mujeres, niñas y adolescentes. Con poco tiempo en mi agenda y sin ser especialista en el tema, decidí ser voluntaria de Yo Soy Mi Primer Amor para brindar mi tiempo a cientos de mujeres, escuchar sus problemas, ayudarlas a abrir los ojos y encontrar la fuerza necesaria en su interior para poner un alto a su sufrimiento. No sabía que al hacerlo, en realidad me estaba curando a mí misma, no me había dado cuenta que alguna vez yo también había sufrido violencia, pensaba que si no habían golpes no había violencia, pero aprendí que los gritos, insultos, celos, también son violencia. Tal como la rana que se acostumbra a vivir en agua hirviendo, te adaptas a una situación o abres los ojos y sales de ello. Yo Soy Mi Primer Amor cambió mi vida desde el primer taller, donde por primera vez me vi en el espejo buscando gustarme a mí misma antes que “al otro”. También me enseñó que el amor debe valer la alegría y no la pena, me enseñó no solo a amar mucho sino a amar mejor. A que “el otro” no es el enemigo, sino el compañero de una vida feliz y compartida. Y de eso se trata realmente, nuestro programa no te cambia el ¨look¨, no te cosifica, no te convierte en una muñeca, por el contrario este programa te pule el alma, te reencuentra contigo misma, te empodera como mujer. Gracias a Yo Soy Mi Primer Amor he descubierto que puedo hacer todo lo que me proponga, desde defenderme ante alguien que me agreda, hasta correr una maratón, para que más mujeres encuentren la felicidad que hoy vivo. Como voluntarias nos capacitamos y somos el primer ejemplo de cambio. Somos un equipo de mujeres multidisciplinario y diverso que de manera solidaria colaboran y apoyan para prevenir la violencia. Esto es lo que amo hacer y nadie me paga por ello, todos los fines de semana estoy presente en cada sesión, lo hago porque me llena el alma, lo hago porque una sonrisa y un abrazo de estas niñas me hacen dar cuenta que vale la alegría vivir. Lo hago porque desde que empecé con este voluntariado soy una mejor persona, que nació para ser feliz, que soy inteligente, que soy valiente, que consigo mis sueños, que soy hermosa y que me llamo.

AMBORÓ Este Parque Nacional y Área Natural de Manejo Integrado, abraza la ciudad de Santa Cruz, brindando múltiples entradas por localidades cercanas hacia el norte y sur del departamento de Santa Cruz. Su territorio marca el inicio de la Cordillera de los Andes en su parte este y su integración con la selva pre amazónica, allí la belleza de sus paisajes se mezcla con las formaciones rocosas. El área protegida tiene 637.600 hectáreas.

This National Park and Natural Area of Integrated Management hugs the city of Santa Cruz, offering multiple entrances through nearby localities to the north and south of the Department of Santa Cruz. Its territory marks the beginning of the Cordillera de los Andes in its eastern part and its integration with the pre-Amazon jungle, where the beauty of its landscapes is mixed with rock formations. This protected area is 637,600 hectares.

KAA IYA DEL GRAN CHACO Con sus 3,4 millones de hectáreas es una de las áreas protegidas más grandes de Bolivia y de Sudamérica; y a su vez es uno de los parques naturales más desconocidos. Kaa-Iya significa en guaraní Dueños del monte, y haciendo honor a su nombre, este es el mejor lugar para ver jaguares y grandes mamíferos. El parque constituye la única área destinada a proteger los restos extensos del Chaco, por eso se considera una de las zonas de conservación más importantes del continente. Aunque tiene una aparente monotonía paisajística, la enorme riqueza de su vida silvestre le confiere un interés excepcional para el desarrollo del ecoturismo.

With its 3.4 million hectares, it is one of the largest protected areas in Bolivia and South America. It is also one of the least known natural parks. In Guaraní, Kaa-Iya means “owners of the hills,” and honoring its name, this is the best place to see jaguars and large mammals. The park is the only area that protects the extensive remains of the Chaco, so it is considered one of the most important conservation areas of the continent. Although it has an apparent scenic monotony, the enormous wealth of its wildlife makes it very interesting for the development of ecotourism.

OTUQUIS Aquí se preserva parte del Pantanal que comparten Brasil y Bolivia. Esta zona ha sido declarada área de interés internacional por los humedales que conserva. En una visita a los Bañados de Otuquis se puede ver un paisaje único de llanuras inundables, que albergan a una gran variedad de flora y fauna salvaje única en el mundo.

Here the part of the Pantanal shared by Brazil and Bolivia is preserved. This area has been declared an area of international interest for the wetlands it conserves. In a visit to the Bañados de Otuquis you can see a unique landscape of floodplains, which shelter a great variety of flora and fauna unique in the world.

SAN MATÍAS Muy cercano al Parque Otuquis. Este también conserva parte del pantanal y cuenta con grandes lagunas de rebalse, ríos, pantanos, charcas y curichis que lo convierten en hogar de gran cantidad de aves y animales de ribera. Su caracter de área de manejo integrado, permite el aprovechamiento de su riqueza de manera sustentable.

It is located very close to Parque Otuquis. This park also conserves part of the wetlands and counts on great, pooled lagoons, rivers, marshes, ponds and swamps that turn it into home of great number of riverside birds and animals. Because this park is an integrated management area, the use of its wealth is allowed in a sustainable way.

NOEL KEMPFF MERCADO Tan diverso como inexplorado, es uno de los destinos más desafiantes para el turismo aventura. Solo llegar puede requerir varios días y recorrerlo requiere equipos completos de expedición (6 a 8 personas). Una vez dentro se puede ver imponentes cataratas, grandes humedales, pampa, mesetas y bosque. Es un hábitat en extremo biodiverso, donde se encuentran animales exóticos como la nutria gigante o el borochi. Está al noreste del departamento de Santa Cruz y colinda con Brasil.

As diverse as unexplored, it is one of the most challenging destinations for adventure tourism. Just getting here may require several days and travelling within the park requires full expedition gear (6 to 8 people). Once inside you can see impressive waterfalls, great wetlands, pampa, plateaus and forests. It is an extremely bio-diverse habitat where exotic animals such as the giant otter and maned wolf are found. This park is in the northeast of the Department of Santa Cruz and borders Brazil.

CAUSAS DE LA INFERTILIDAD Causes of infertility La consulta por infertilidad es cada día más común. La modernidad se ha acompañado de la postergación de la mater/paternidad; debemos terminar los estudios, el posgrado y dar la vuelta al mundo antes de asentarnos en familia. Sin embargo, la fertilidad no es solamente un tema de edad, existen factores muy condicionantes de los que poco se habla. Uno de ellos son los disruptores endocrinos, ¿que nombre raro verdad? Pues estas sustancias han estado en nuestra cotidianidad mucho más de lo que imaginamos. Algunos disruptores derivan del estudio de los anticonceptivos hormonales, es decir hormonas sexuales, lo que derivó en el descubrimiento de varias sustancias químicas, una de ellas se convirtió en el plástico que se utilizó por años en los biberones y otra en el teflón de los sartenes. Otra fuente de disruptores son los plaguicidas, presentes en nuestros cereales, frutas y verduras. Es una problemática de alcance global pero que puede de alguna manera afrontarse, informándonos y cambiando nuestros patrones de consumo. Infertility consultations are becoming more and more common. Modernity has led to a delay in maternity and paternity. People finish college, then graduate school, as well as a trip around the world, all before settling down in family. However, fertility is not just an issue related to age, there are other factors which are not so often mentioned. One of them is endocrine disruptors, but what is that? These substances have been present in our daily lives much more than we imagine. Some disrupters are derived from the study of hormonal contraceptives, (i.e. sex hormones), which resulted in the discovery of several chemicals, one of which was the plastic that was used for years in the bottles and another in the Teflon of frying pans. Another source of disruptors are pesticides, present in our grains, fruits and vegetables. It is a global problem which can be confronted when we are informed and change our patterns of consumption. 24

Luego un paseo por la reserva natural de Puerto Madero o por la Costanera. Para cerrar, un atardecer en los renovados Arcos de Palermo y su peatonal de cafés y bares al aire libre y muy cerca del Rosedal. Es difícil seguirle el ritmo a Buenos Aires, tan difícil como no pensar en volver.

Hace poco leí un estudio sobre los países más innovadores de Latinoamérica y Bolivia se encontraba en última posición del ranking, hasta ahí infelizmente ninguna sorpresa, ¿pero sabe que me ha sorprendido de verdad?, descubrir que el ranking de innovación y el del PIB de los países de la región son prácticamente idénticos y que están directamente relacionados. “Innovan más porque son más ricos”. Renegué tratando de encontrar consuelo en un razonamiento que aparentemente tenía sentido, pero no tardé en comprobar lo equivocado que estaba. Primero porque el concepto de innovación está totalmente cegado por la tecnología. Innovar no es solo inventarse una nueva red social o un televisor más delgado (Aunque también se podría dar facilidades e incentivos para que los jóvenes del país se arriesguen a emprender). Pero la innovación también es reinvención y como país tenemos mucho por reinventar en áreas como el turismo, agro, uso de recursos naturales, productos, industria local, gastronomía o el internet, por mencionar algunas mejoras que dependen de la innovación y que nos haría un país mejor y más rico. Ahora sabiendo que son los más ricos los que más innovan y no al revés, ¿vas a seguir haciendo las cosas como siempre hiciste? Hagas lo que hagas, si quieres mejorar tus ingresos y seguir existiendo en el futuro recomiendo expresamente que innoves. ¿Te imaginas que sucedería en el país, si todos lo hiciéramos? 58

EL PUENTE MÁS ALTO DEL MUNDO Sólo apto para aquellos que dejen en casa el vértigo y el miedo a las alturas. Con 494 metros de largo, el «Europabruecke» se convierte en el puente colgante peatonal más largo del mundo, superando incluso al puente de Zhangjiajie (China), construido con suelo de cristal e inaugurado en 2016. El puente colgante, que ha sido bautizado como Charles Kuonen en honor a uno de sus patrocinadores, está situado en el Cantón del Valais, cerca de Randa (Suiza). Un chivito para los amigos A chivito for friends

En 1944 una turista argentina, cordobesa para precisar, llegó a El Mejillón Bar, en Punta del Este y pidió que le sirvan carne de chivo, algo muy poco común en Uruguay. El propietario del restaurante, Antonio Carbonaro, para no perder a la clienta, le propuso al comensal un sándwich con jamón, queso, huevo y un churrasco fino de carne de res. La voz se corrió y el local de Carbonaro llegó a vender 1.000 chivitos al día (abría 24hs.) y tenía dos carnicerías dedicadas a abastecerlo. La receta se esparció por todo el país y hoy es casi obligatorio comerse un buen chivito si se visita tierra charrúa. In 1944, an Argentine tourist, from Cordoba to be precise, arrived at El Mejillón Bar in Punta del Este and requested to be served goat’s meat, something very rare in Uruguay. Inusualmente el Cambódromo de la ciudad, epicentro de la prueba, se fue llenado de gente en la madrugada y a las 6:00 se dió inició a la gran fiesta deportiva. La presentación realizada en Meraki Teatro Bar, contó con la presencia de más de 100 invitados especiales, entre ellos, celebridades locales y representantes de los medios de comunicación, quienes se informaron y disfrutaron de las cualidades del producto. El lanzamiento fue propicio para anunciar que la firma alemana será el nuevo patrocinador oficial del Real Madrid.

ADIDAS PRESENTÓ SU NUEVA LINEA DE TRAINING Adidas Training presentó una nueva gama de productos para entrenamiento funcional con una amplia gama de textiles y calzados que permiten a los atletas efectuar cualquier movimiento y mantener la creatividad en su entrenamiento. La presentación se efectuó en el relanzamiento de la categoría de entrenamiento de la firma alemana, donde 24 atletas participaron de una competencia fitness grupal en las afueras de la tienda adidas, situada en el Centro Comercial Las Brisas, donde se adaptó un gimnasio de entrenamiento funcional con profesionales del rubro. El evento fue una fiesta deportiva.

LA POLERA OFICIAL DE LA MARATÓN Alejandro Madde, Mario del Alcázar, Andrea Foianini y Claudia Mansilla, TEAM VIVA lucieron y presentaron la polera para la adidas Maratón de Santa Cruz de la Sierra. La prenda que lucieron miles de personas en la carrera pedestre más importante de Bolivia, destaca por la tecnología climalite, fabricada con telas que garantizan larga duración gracias a su sistema que expulsa el sudor de la piel cuando aumenta el esfuerzo y el calor de los atletas. En el evento de presentación también se explicaron los detalles del kit que recibió cada inscrito.

YA LLEGÓ LA NUEVA CX-5 DE MAZDA La CX-5 modelo 2018 ha llegado a Bolivia y está totalmente renovada con 698 cambios en cuanto a diseño exterior, interior, tecnología y seguridad. El lanzamiento se realizó en el salón Exhibición del hotel Los Tajibos, lugar decorado por el especialista Quito Velasco. En el evento organizado por Lola Group, el Brand Manager de Mazda en Bolivia, José Luis Asbún, realizó una breve exposición sobre las innumerables cualidades del vehículo antes de develar oficialmente la nueva joya artomotriz de la firma japonesa. La cita contó con la presencia internacional de las Dj´s Le Twins, las gemelas mexicanas Karla y Karen De la Garza trajeron todas sus mezclas y sensualidad en un show de dos horas con una energía que contagió a los más de 1000 asistentes. El lanzamiento del SUV CX-5 se convirtió en toda una fiesta donde reinó la alegría y diversión de la mano de Mazda. All New Mazada CX-5 se encuentra disponible en la red Imcruz de todo el país.

DOS GALARDONES PARA AMASZONAS

En agosto sucedió un hecho histórico para el grupo Amaszonas, por primera vez en Sudamérica se realizó un doble vuelo inaugural de dos aerolíneas diferentes, aunque del mismo grupo, que aterrizaron de manera simultánea en el Aeropuerto de Córdoba. Amaszonas Uruguay realiza la conexión Montevideo - Córdoba Montevideo y a partir de este mes lo hará Amaszonas Línea Aérea de Bolivia con la conexión Santa Cruz - Córdoba - Santa Cruz. Ambas conexiones fueron inauguradas en agosto con la presencia de prensa de los tres países y del ministro de Turismo de Argentina, Gustavo Santos y la delegacion del Ministerio de Turismo de Bolivia, a través del Viceministro Ricardo Cox, y Uruguay, a través de sus directores generales. Con estos dos nuevos vuelos continuamos integrando de manera eficiente a nuestros países y ciudades de Sudamérica.

Amaszonas recibió en pasadas semanas dos nuevas distinciones en torno a la calidad del servicio que presta y ratifica la orientación hacia los pasajeros. La Cámara de Diputados del Estado Plurinacional de Bolivia a través de su comisión de Economía Plural entregó el galardón Cordillera de los Andes por el crecimiento de la aerolínea. También el Municipio de Uyuni, uno de los destinos turísticos más importantes de Bolivia y al que Amaszonas llega hasta con 5 vuelos diarios en temporada alta, decidió conferir la medalla Reloj de Oro por la integración permanente y apoyo al desarrollo de esta zona.

AMASZONAS SIGUE LOS PASOS DE ARTIGAS Amaszonas Paraguay anunció un nuevo circuito turístico de Montevideo a Asunción a través de la figura del prócer Jose Gervasio Artigas. Anuncio realizado de manera conjunta con los Ministerios de Turismo de Paraguay y Uruguay. La ruta se denomina “Las huellas del KaraiGuazú” y tiene contenidos históricos y turísticos y rinde homenaje a la estadía que tuvo Artigas en Paraguay. “Karai guasu”, el equivalente a “gran señor” en idioma guaraní, era la forma en que los locales denominaban al prócer, que vivió sus últimos 30 años en las localidades de Curuguaty y Asunción. Amaszonas Paraguay y Amaszonas Uruguay ofrecen 14 vuelos semanales entre Montevideo y Asunción.

Pronto se tendrán novedades y avances en los servicios del grupo gracias a estos encuentros de trabajo.

GOLAZO DE AMASZONAS CON LOS EQUIPOS DE FUTBOL EN EL NORTE CHILENO Desde el inicio de operaciones en el norte grande de Chile, Amaszonas ha ido fortaleciendo su presencia y ganando la preferencia de los ciudadanos de esas zonas. Eso se demuestra a través de la gran preferencia que tienen los clubes de futbol hacia nuestra aerolínea que conecta desde Arica hasta La Serena pasando por Iquique, Antofagasta y Copiapó. En días pasados, tanto San Marcos de Arica como Deportes Copiapó decidieron utilizar los servicios de nuestra aerolínea para asistir a sus eventos deportivos. Se espera que unos 10 grupos de equipos de fútbol se muevan en las siguientes semanas en la operación Norte de Chile.

AMASZONAS, LA MÁS PUNTUAL DEL NORTE CHILENO

De acuerdo a los reportes de la Junta Aeronáutica Civil de Chile, durante el trimestre de abril a junio de este año, Amaszonas se destaca como la aerolínea con mayor índice de puntualidad en las operaciones que realiza en el Norte Grande de Chile que incluye desde La Serena hasta Arica. De acuerdo a estos datos, por ejemplo en Iquique, Amaszonas alcanzó el registro de 89,7 % de puntualidad, frente al 76,8 de la segunda aerolínea. En Arica, Antofagasta, Copiapó y La Serena superó el 90 % de puntualidad. 98
