La integración es un proceso por el cual alguien o un elemento se incorpora para completar un todo, pudiendo referirse a distintos ámbitos como la integración regional, social, energética, económica y otras. La integración es sinónimo de unión. Este término entre los países del mundo es muy común ya que buscan la integración de las naciones para el desarrollo en conjunto y así mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Ejemplos de integración política hay muchos, la Organización de Estados Americanos (OEA), Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU) y hasta organismos creados especialmente entre dos o más países. Ahora bien, las aerolíneas también hacemos integración cuando conectamos a un país internamente y a este con otros países. La integración aérea fortalece a su vez la integración regional, ya que acercamos a las personas con sus diferentes niveles de interés que pueden ser de negocios, turismo y otros. Amaszonas es un firme aliado de todas las iniciativas de integración entre los seis países entre los que volamos. Estamos seguros que cuando varios países coordinan sus políticas de turismo pueden hacer que una mayor cantidad de turistas visiten las zonas de interés. Como ejemplo Perú y Bolivia tienen un área andina de amplio potencial turístico. Así como lo pueden tener en conjunto el sur de Bolivia con el norte de Argentina y Chile. Argentina y Uruguay también comparten similares atractivos que atraen a turistas de otros continentes. En cuanto al comercio, también somos aliados naturales y formales de diferentes organismos que se conforman y que tienen intereses comunes para atraer inversiones y desarrollo. Un ejemplo claro es el proceso que está ocurriendo actualmente entre Paraguay y Bolivia, donde tanto los sectores públicos como privados han identificado proyectos claros de trabajo conjunto. Lo demuestran los recientes encuentros entre los gobiernos y los presidentes de ambos países, donde Amaszonas fue el transportador oficial del Primer Gabinete Binacional y las Jornadas Empresariales. Como aerolínea integradora seguiremos apostando por una auténtica y efectiva integración latinoamericana, que conduzca a potenciar a nuestros países y regiones, para un mayor desarrollo de sus habitantes. Integration is a process by which someone or something is incorporated into a whole, and it can be used to refer to examples such as regional, social, energy, economic and other forms of integration. Integration is synonymous with union. Among the countries of the world this term is commonly heard, as they seek the integration of nations for development as a whole and to thus improve the quality of life of inhabitants. Examples of political integration are many, for example the Organization of American States (OAS), the United Nations (UN) and even bodies created especially between two or more countries. Now, airlines also integrate when we connect a country internally and when we connect with other countries. Aerial integration in turn strengthens regional integration, since we bring people together around their different interests, such as business, tourism and others. Amaszonas is a firm ally of all the integration initiatives among the six countries between which we fly. We are sure that when several countries coordinate their tourism policies they can get a larger number of tourists to visit the areas of interest. For example, Peru and Bolivia have an Andean area of wide tourist potential. This could also occure between the south of Bolivia and the north of Argentina and Chile. Argentina and Uruguay also share similar attractions that bring tourists from other continents. As for trade, we are also natural and formal allies of different organizations that have been formed, and we share interests in attracting investment and development. A clear example is the process that is currently taking place between Paraguay and Bolivia, where both public and private sectors have identified clear, joint-work projects. This is demonstrated by the recent meetings between the governments and the presidents of both countries, where Amaszonas was the official transporter of the First Binational Cabinet and the Business Days. As an integrating airline, we will continue to bet on an authentic and effective Latin American integration, which will empower our countries and regions, resulting in greater development for our inhabitants. Este 11 de julio se celebra el Día Mundial de la Población, una fecha que más allá de las cifras, nos invita a reflexionar sobre los retos que tenemos las personas y los gobiernos sobre la igualdad de oportunidades, urbanismo, alimentación, salud, educación, medio ambiente, trabajo, acceso a los servicios básicos, y agua potable para todos, entre otros temas profundos que tienen que ver con el bienestar y la convivencia entre seres humanos. Según las estimaciones de las Naciones Unidas la población mundial actual es de 7.700 millones y se calcula que seremos 9.700 millones de personas en 2050 y esta cifra ascenderá hasta los 11.200 millones para fines del siglo XXI. En la actualidad, los jóvenes del mundo que definen las realidades sociales y económicas, desafían las normas y los valores, y sientan las bases del futuro, siguen luchando contra la pobreza, las desigualdades y las violaciones de los derechos humanos que les impide desarrollar su potencial colectivo y personal. Por esta razón, la comunidad internacional ha asumido el compromiso de cumplir una nueva agenda de desarrollo sostenible basada en los principios de la equidad y los derechos humanos. On July 11, World Population Day is celebrated, a date that invites us to reflect on the challenges people and governments have regarding equal opportunities, urbanism, nutrition, health, education, the environment, work, access to basic services, and drinking water for all, among other complex issues that affect the coexistence among human beings. According to United Nations’ estimates, the current world population is 7.7 billion and it is estimated that we will be 9.7 billion people in 2050. This figure will rise to 11 billion by the end of the 21st century. Presently, young people in the world define social and economic realities, they challenge norms and values, they lay the foundations for the future, and they continue to fight against poverty, inequalities and human rights violations that prevent them from developing their collective and personal potential. For this reason, the international community has assumed the commitment to fulfill a new sustainable development agenda based on the principles of equity and human rights. A fundamental objective of the Sustainable Development Goals is that no one is left behind. Las niñas, en particular las adolescentes en sus años de formación, se encuentran entre las personas a las que se ha prestado menos atención en iniciativas de desarrollo anteriores. Precisamente cuando las niñas deberían estar estudiando en la escuela y soñando con todo lo que tienen por delante, las trabas sociales y culturales impiden a un número demasiado elevado de ellas a hacer realidad sus ambiciones. Otra gran problemática por seguir resolviendo día a día es la alimentación. Según un informe de la FAO, hasta el 2050 deberá producirse un 70 % más de alimentos. En muchos países en desarrollo se incrementará fuertemente la demanda de cereales y carne, lo que exige un cambio en el modelo de alimentación. Corregir estas desigualdades y trabajar codo a codo para poder disfrutar de una vida en que haya seguridad, dignidad y oportunidades para todos, es fundamental para el éxito de la Agenda 2030 para el Desarrollo Sostenible.

Girls, particularly adolescents, are among the people who have received the least attention in previous development initiatives. "Precisely when girls should be studying at school and dreaming of everything that lies ahead, social and cultural obstacles prevent too many of them from realizing their ambitions. Half of all sexual assaults worldwide are committed against girls aged 15 or younger. Additionally, compared to male adolescents, female adolescents are less likely to start or finish high school. Another major problem to continue solving day by day is food; according to a report by the FAO by 2050 we need to produce 70% more food. In many developing countries the demand for cereals and meat will increase sharply, which requires a change in the feeding model. Correcting these inequalities and working side by side to enjoy a life in which there is security, dignity and opportunities for all is fundamental to the success of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

TORTUGAS TURTLES ARE ONCE AGAIN BORN IN THE GALAPAGOS

La actividad humana y las ratas pusieron a muchas especies de tortugas de las islas Galápagos en peligro de extinción, pero los nacimientos recientes en estado natural son una gran esperanza para seguirlas teniendo entre nosotros. Human activity and rats put many species of turtles on the Galapagos Islands in danger of extinction, but recent natural births having given great hope about their future.

Ahora, ya no están repatriando tortugas a Pinzón, porque ya están naciendo en estado natural. Now, they are not repatriating turtles to Pinzón, because once again they are being born in a natural state. Galápagos en Ecuador, está conformada por un conjunto de veinte islas e islotes con una riqueza natural impresionante, famosas por sus tortugas del género Chelonoidanis, los reptiles terrestres vivientes más grandes del mundo. El ecosistema de estas islas es muy delicado. Debido a las ratas que se cree llegaron con los primeros navegantes españoles, fueron las causantes de la extinción de seis de las 15 especies que existían. Los roedores se comían los huevos, no solamente de las tortugas, sino también de otras especies endémicas de animales. Después de un gran trabajo de repoblamiento, las tortugas han vuelto a nacer en estado natural en la isla Pinzón, siendo una gran noticia para el mundo. Según el Parque Nacional Galápagos PNG, ante la población muy alta de ratas negras que afectaba a especies nativas y endémicas, en diciembre de 2012, tras cinco años de estudios sobre toxicidad, los expertos dispersaron desde un helicóptero, un veneno por toda la isla. Eso significó trasladar animales a otras islas para protegerlos. En 2014, tras varios monitoreos, la isla Pinzón se declaró libre de roedores y según un estudio ecológico se logró detectar por primera vez, después de más de cien años, crías de tortugas nacidas en estado natural. En 1965, el PNG inició su programa de crianza y cautiverio con las únicas veinte tortugas que había en Pinzón y desde entonces repatriaron 837 quelonios de cinco años de edad, cuando las ratas ya no los podían comer.

Galapagos in Ecuador is composed of a set of twenty islands and islets with an impressive natural wealth. These islands are famous for their turtles of the genus Chelonoidanis, the largest living terrestrial reptiles in the world. The ecosystem of these islands is very delicate. Rats that arrived with the first Spanish navigators were the cause of the extinction of 6 of the 15 species that existed. The rodents ate the eggs, not only of the turtles, but also of other endemic species of animals. After a great work of repopulation, the turtles have been reborn in the natural state on Pinzón Island, which is great news for the world. According to the PNG Galapagos National Park, given the very high population of black rats that affected native and endemic species, in December 2012, after five years of studies on toxicity, experts dispersed a poison throughout the island. That meant moving animals to other islands to protect them. In 2014, after several surveys, Pinzón Island declared itself free of rodents and, according to an ecological study, it was possible to detect for the first time, after more than one hundred years, turtles born in the wild. In 1965, the PNG began its breeding and captivity program with the only twenty turtles that were in Pinzón and since then they repatriated 837 chelonians at the age of five, when the rats could no longer eat them.

La transformación de la industria automotriz es inminente, los autos eléctricos están ingresando poco a poco como una alternativa a los que funcionan con combustibles fósiles. En Bolivia la empresa IMCRUZ fue la primera en abrir las puertas a esta tecnología y la nueva Kangoo Z.E. de Renault acaba de dar la “Vuelta Verde”, un viaje por diferentes puntos del país que superó los 3.000 kilómetros. La Kangoo Z.E., es una furgoneta 100% eléctrica, que ofrece 60 CV, 270 km de autonomía y alcanza una velocidad de 130 km/h. “El interés por vehículos eléctricos y su aporte al cuidado del medio ambiente es una tendencia mundial y en IMCRUZ queremos sumar al país esta nueva tecnología”, aseguró Luis Yañez, gerente de asistencia técnica de la importadora, añadiendo que la Cooperativa Rural de Electrificación (CRE) de Santa Cruz 18

In Bolivia, the IMCRUZ company was the first to open its doors to this technology and the new Kangoo Z.E. from Renault has just taken "the green trip” through different parts of the country, traveling over 3,000 kilometers. Para probar la potencia de esta furgoneta en distintos pisos altitudinales, se hizo un recorrido por Cochabamba, Sucre, Potosí, Oruro, La Paz, El Alto y Santa Cruz de la Sierra, respectivamente, quedando probado que los vehículos eléctricos son aptos para la geografía de nuestro país. Por ahora están disponibles la Kangoo Z.E. y el Twizy; mientras que para el 2020, se tiene prevista la llegada a Bolivia del ZOE, el vehículo eléctrico más vendido en Europa. Las ventas al público de estos modelos eléctricos, serán generados a pedido, con una espera aproximada de seis meses. La tecnología de este vehículo ofrece muchas ventajas; cero ruidos, cero emisiones y es 100% eficiente.

Cruz de la Sierra, was the first institution to acquire three units of the Kangoo ZE for its daily work. CNN RECOMIENDA VISITAR EL SALAR DE UYUNI ESTE 2019 CNN RECOMMENDS VISITING THE SALAR DE UYUNI IN 2019 Un equipo de expertos en turismo y viajes de la cadena internacional CNN lanzó un video en el que muestra al Salar de Uyuni como uno de los cinco lugares más espectaculares para visitar y disfrutar en 2019. Este desierto de sal con sus 12.000 kilómetros cuadrados, es el más grande del mundo. “Este paisaje surrealista en lo que era un lago, es el sueño de todo fotógrafo”, resalta la pieza audiovisual con lindas imágenes de este lugar que se ha convertido en uno de los destinos más visitados de Bolivia. Junto al Salar, el vídeo de CNN también recomienda Las Vegas y el Gran Cañón (Estados Unidos), Nueva Escocia (Canadá) y Londres (Inglaterra). Este gran desierto blanco sin duda es un atractivo impresionante, pero además la zona es una suma de sitios, con paisajes espectaculares como la Isla Incahuasi, el Cementerio de Trenes; las lagunas: Verde, Blanca, Colorada y Hedionda, entre otras, muchas habitadas por flamencos; también se puede apreciar en el trayecto el Desierto de Dalí, el Árbol de piedra, el Volcán Licancabur, géiseres, aguas termales y muchos pueblos que te cuentan la rica historia de esta gran área turística, ubicada en el departamento de Potosí.

A team of tourism and travel experts from CNN released a video naming the Salar de Uyuni as one of the five most spectacular places to visit and enjoy in 2019. This 12,000 square kilometer salt desert is the biggest in the world. “This surreal landscape found in what was once a lake, is the dream of every photographer,” highlights the audiovisual piece which is accompanied with beautiful images of the Salar, which has become one of the most visited destinations in Bolivia. Along with the Salar, the CNN video also recommends Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon (United States), Nova Scotia (Canada) and London (England). This great white salt desert is undoubtedly an impressive attraction, but there is a sum of sites in the area, such as Incahuasi Island, the Train Cemetery; and the green, white and red lagoons among others, many inhabited by flamingos. You can also see the Dalí Desert, the Stone Tree, the Licancabur Volcano, geysers, hot springs and many towns that tell you the rich history of this great tourist area located in the department of Potosí.

TEATRO COLÓN BUENOS AIRES

Considerada por expertos como una de las salas de ópera con mejor acústica del mundo, incluso a la altura de La Scala de Milán, la Ópera Garnier de París y el Royal Opera House de Londres, el Teatro Colón es un icono y un orgullo de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. El teatro se construyó inicialmente en la Plaza de Mayo, lugar donde funcionó desde 1857 hasta 1888, para luego ser trasladado frente a la Plaza Lavalle e inaugurado en 1908, con una función de la ópera Aida, luego de 20 años de haber colocado la piedra fundamental. Desde entonces, han pasado por su escenario renombrados artistas como Igor Stravinsky, Daniel Barenboim, Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo, Rudolf Nureyev, Julio Bocca, entre otros tantos. Gracias a que el teatro cuenta con sus propios cuerpos estables de orquesta, ballet y coro y sus propios talleres de producción, puede realizar íntegramente la totalidad de las producciones que ahí se presentan, para así seguir llenando de arte y música, cada rincón que lo forma.

The Teatro Colón is an icon and a source of pride in Buenos Aires. TEATRO SOLÍS MONTEVIDEO

Con una clara inspiración del neoclasicismo republicano, el emblemático Teatro Solís de Montevideo, es una joya arquitectónica por sí misma; un edificio majestuoso que cuenta también el turbulento clima político y económico que transcurría Uruguay durante la época en que fue construido, por entonces sumido en una guerra civil que obligó a los accionistas del proyecto a buscar la forma de llevar adelante la empresa de semejantes proporciones. Es así que el proyecto inicial encargado al arquitecto Carlo Zucchi, es retomado por Francisco Javier de Garmendia y adaptado a las condiciones económicas que se vivían en el país, y el nuevo teatro es inaugurado el 25 de agosto de 1856, con la representación de la ópera Ernani de Verdi. Esta madera también ha sido utilizada en la maquinaria que se encuentra en subterráneo del escenario la cual permite el movimiento del mismo y que todavía se conserva en buenas condiciones. La ornamentación de su fachada y como también su interior, llaman la atención por la calidad de los detalles de esta hermosa edificación orgullo de los iquiqueños y que no puedes dejar de visitar.

De estilo arquitectónico republicano, su fachada actual fue intervenida innumerables veces y dista mucho de la original; aunque su interior conserva aún, gran parte del diseño inicial, como por ejemplo, el fresco del plafond del artista francés Lemetyer. Con todas las limitaciones que nos podemos imaginar en medio de la selva, el padre Suárez construyó instrumentos astronómicos precisos con cañas, maderas, metales, piedras y cristales de roca. ECLIPSE TOTAL DEL SOL TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN Este 2 de julio se producirá un eclipse solar total que comenzará al este de Nueva Zelanda en el Océano Pacífico para luego llegar a América del Sur. En nuestro continente Chile será uno de los países más privilegiados, ya que se verá de manera total en la Región de Atacama y Coquimbo y será parcial en el resto del país. De forma parcial, el eclipse podrá verse también en Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú, Colombia, Uruguay, Brasil y Paraguay, así como en algunas islas del Pacífico como Polinesia: Samoa, Tonga, Islas Cook, Kiribati, Polinesia Francesa y Pitcairn. El eclipse ocurre cuando la Luna pasa entre el Sol y la Tierra, dando paso a una oscuridad total en un diámetro entre los 100 y los 300 kilómetros aproximadamente. SUECIA UN EJEMPLO DEL RECICLAJE Mientras que en la mayoría de las ciudades y pueblos del mundo la basura es un problema serio, Suecia ha conseguido convertirse en el único país que recicla el 99% de sus residuos. El país europeo ha logrado estos resultados a través del trabajo colectivo y de la educación de sus habitantes. Según sus leyes vigentes, en Suecia existen estaciones de reciclaje en todas sus zonas residenciales. Primero separan los residuos en sus casas, luego los depositan en contenedores especiales para que después sean llevados a las estaciones de reciclaje. Todo lo reciclan, reutilizan o abonan, incluso purifican el agua hasta hacerla potable. También tienen un sistema especial de recojo y reciclaje de basura electrónica y residuos peligrosos. Como los suecos son tan eficientes y recicladores, la mayor parte de las toneladas de basura que incineran en las plantas productoras de energía, la importan desde otros países y es utilizada para calentar los hogares. Se centran en la incineración como alternativa a la dependencia de materiales fósiles. 250 mil hogares se abastecen de electricidad generada por la basura y el 20% de los hogares gozan de calefacción proveniente del tratamiento de basura. ¡Un ejemplo para el mundo!

It is an enormous area of recreation and rest for the relatives of the deceased, and is a tourist attraction for national and international visitors, given its patrimonial and historical wealth. Esta celebración, que cumple 33 años, inició en 1985, año en que se llevó a cabo el primer festival “Live AID” de manera simultánea en el Estadio Wembley de Londres y el J.F.K de Filadelfia (Estados Unidos). De acuerdo con el portal tuhistory.com, esta iniciativa fue impulsada por el actor y músico Bob Geldof, para ayudar ante la terrible crisis humanitaria que vivía Etiopía y se consideró uno de los festivales más exitosos de todos los tiempos. Según El Heraldo de México, las bandas de rock más grandes y emblemáticas del momento, tales como: Led Zeppelin, The Who, Black Sabbath, Queen, Sting, Judas Priest, Duran Duran, U2, Scorpions, Eric Clapton y Phil Collins, se apoderaron del escenario para mostrar sus propuestas musicales, que sin duda eran muy diferentes a lo existente en ese entonces. Enclavada en el corazón de la cordillera de los Andes, Bolivia cuenta con excelentes sitios para la práctica de la escalada de altura. Sus majestuosas montañas, la han convertido en un destino apetecido por los aficionados a este deporte que llegan de todo el mundo en busca de nuevos retos. Pero localmente, la comunidad de escaladores todavía es muy pequeña, algo que quiere cambiar Darwyn Rouille, escalador profesional con más de 13 años de experiencia y organizador del Festival Chochís Extremo, un evento que busca incentivar a que más personas se sumen a esta aventura. Según recuerda Rouille, fue en 2011 cuando apareció el primer muro o palestra de escalada en Santa Cruz de la Sierra con fines recreacionales, pero no fue bien recibido por el público y el proyecto fracasó. Motivado por crear una verdadera comunidad de entusiastas escaladores, Rouille fundó en 2014 Muro de Escalada Santa Cruz, con una palestra transportable; y desde el 2017, realiza capacitaciones y cursos para la formación deportiva. "Este deporte tiene la ventaja de llevarte a lugares hermosos, y estar en contacto con la naturaleza", comentó Rouille. Un gran ejemplo es Chochís, sede de este festival. La zona cuenta con paisajes y vistas que enamoran al visitante, como El Portón, un peñón que se yergue imponente a 320 metros de altura y que en su base tiene un santuario a la virgen María. Its majestic mountains have turned it into a destination desired by fans of this sport who come from all over the world in search of new challenges. But locally, the community of climbers is still very small, something that Darwyn Rouille wants to change. Rouille is a professional climber with more than 13 years of experience and is the organizer of the Chochís Extreme Festival, an event that seeks to encourage more people to partake in this adventure. Se sitúa en el puesto 86 del ranquin, pero quiere estar entre los 50 mejores del mundo. - ¿Cómo estás viviendo esta nueva etapa de éxito en tu carrera? - Era uno de mis sueños personales, quería demostrar que en Bolivia podemos salir jugadores profesionales y competir con los mejores del mundo, quiero motivar a los niños, que mucha gente empiece a interesarse por el tenis, que lo practiquen, porque es un deporte muy lindo. Me encantaría que podamos tener mejores tenistas y que puedan llegar lejos, porque lo que estoy viviendo, es realmente increíble. - ¿Cómo te sentiste jugando en Madrid, tu primer Master 1000 y donde existe una gran comunidad de bolivianos? - Me sentí 10 puntos, muchísima gente de la comunidad boliviana fue a La Caja Mágica para apoyarme, también me recibieron con mucho cariño en la embajada boliviana, me reuní con los compatriotas. Son cosas muy lindas que siempre que se pueda, lo voy a hacer. - Después de Madrid vino Roland Garros, tu primer Grand Slam ¿Cómo te sentiste? Cumplí un sueño profesional, quería ganar un partido en las canchas principales. Lo pude lograr y la verdad es que me llevo las mejores sensaciones, fue una semana inolvidable. - En segunda ronda de Roland Garros, cuando jugaste contra Tsitsipas, te lesionaste. ¿La historia hubiera sido diferente si no te lastimabas en ese partido? Claro que sí. No sé si hubiera ganado, pero hubiera tenido muchísimas chances.

- On July 1 you will be playing on the courts of the All England Lawn Tennis Club in Wimbledon. How are you preparing? - Wimbledon is different from all surfaces on which I usually play. I’ve only played on grass two or three times during my entire career and it is not easy. I think it's beautiful to see tennis played on the grass. I hope to recover soon from my injury, so I can start preparing myself and reach the tournament in the best conditions. - Do you think you are close to the goal of being in the top 50? - Yes, I am playing at that level – but it takes a bit for the results. To be among the first 50 in the world I need to get at least to a semifinal or a final of the ATP. So I think we are very close and at any moment it is going to happen.

CHILE Y PARAGUAY EN LA OMT CHILE AND PARAGUAY IN THE UNWTO A partir del 1 de enero de 2020 hasta el 2022, Chile y Paraguay representarán a las Américas en el Consejo Ejecutivo de la Organización Mundial de Turismo (OMT), de las Naciones Unidas. El órgano de mayor relevancia al interior de la OMT está conformado por representantes de 33 países, que trabajarán en conjunto con Zurab Pololikashvili, secretario general de la instancia, para la definición de políticas y programas a seguir a nivel mundial para la industria turística. Ambos países sudamericanos tendrán como desafío promover una mejor conectividad interregional, además de impulsar políticas para el progreso del turismo rural, incorporando a las comunidades al desarrollo turístico. Guatemala también representará a las Américas en el Consejo Ejecutivo de la OMT. El director general del Instituto Guatemalteco de Turismo, Jorge Mario Chajón, aseguró que están conscientes de la importancia del turismo como una de las principales fuerzas propulsoras de comercio mundial, el desarrollo y la prosperidad. Los fans de La Guerra de las Galaxias podrán experimentar en primera persona la emoción de pilotear el Millenium Falcon o enfrentarse en batalla a las fuerzas del “lado oscuro”; Disneylandia en Anaheim, California, acaba de inaugurar Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, el nuevo espacio dedicado a todos los fans de esta saga de ciencia ficción. La mejor manera de incorporar frutas a nuestra dieta durante el invierno es convertirlas en una rica compota, porque contrariamente a lo que se cree, las frutas cocidas siguen siendo beneficiosas, mantienen nutrientes y vitaminas, son fáciles de digerir y de masticar por lo que se recomienda para niños y ancianos, así mismo ayudan a combatir el estreñimiento, aportan energía al organismo, también mejoran y estimulan el sistema digestivo. Las compotas se pueden elaborar de una sola fruta o varias, las manzanas, peras, uvas, duraznos, ciruelas o higos son ideales. Para su preparación solo tienes que cortarlas en trozos, ponerlas en un recipiente con agua, canela y 2 o 3 cucharadas de azúcar, removiendo de vez en cuando, y procurando que al final tengan mucho caldo.

En un trabajo conjunto, 50 investigadores de Argentina, Brasil, China, Estados Unidos, India, Corea, Francia y Japón secuenciaron el genoma de una de las especies de maní más cultivadas del mundo, conocida como Arachis hypogaea, y hallaron que surgió de la combinación de dos especies de Sudamérica, una de Argentina y la otra de Bolivia. Se cree que esta hibridación ocurrió de la mano de la recolección y migración humana, así como con la polinización natural de insectos, hace unos 9.400 años. Según describe el estudio, publicado en Nature Genetics (mayo), los investigadores analizaron más de 200 variedades de maní de todo el mundo y decenas de poblaciones silvestres y obtuvieron una secuencia compuesta por más de 2.500 millones de pares de bases de ADN, dispuestos en veinte pares de cromosomas, con diez pares por cada una de las especies ancestrales. La secuenciación de los genomas de las dos especies silvestres consideradas parentales – también publicada en Nature Genetics en 2016– comprobó que el subgenoma “B” proviene del donante paterno Arachis ipaensis, correspondiente a una pequeña población del sur de Bolivia, que habría sido transportada desde el norte de ese país por los antiguos pobladores durante la prehistoria. Sin embargo, esa investigación no había logrado determinar cuál fue la que habría actuado como donante materno del subgenoma “A”. Este nuevo estudio sobre el genoma del maní cultivado y su comparación reveló que la población de Arachis duranensis que prolifera en la localidad salteña de Río Seco es, entre los representantes modernos de la especie, la que presenta mayores probabilidades de haber actuado como donante del subgenoma “A".

In joint work, 50 researchers from Argentina, Brazil, China, the United States, India, Korea, France and Japan sequenced the genome of one of the most cultivated peanut species in the world, the Arachis hypogaea, and found that it emerged from the hybridization of two species from South America: one from Argentina and the other from Bolivia. A esta bebida típica del altiplano y los valles bolivianos, cada cocinero le pone su toque característico, algunos, además de la canela, le agregan un poco de cáscara de la naranja, piña e incluso un toque de anís estrella. En todos los puestos de mercado donde lo ofrecen también lo sirven combinado con api blanco, en base a otra variedad de maíz. Lo normal es beberlo muy caliente, acompañado con buñuelos y “pasteles”, una empanada de queso frita muy grande, de masa delgadita, inflada y crocante, sin duda una de las delicias que se encuentra especialmente en los puestos callejeros de los mercados de La Paz, Oruro, Cochabamba y Potosí. Pero el api no solo es una bebida sabrosa, sino que su ingrediente principal, el maíz morado es una fuente de propiedades: contiene proteías, fósforo, hierro, vitamina A, riboflavina, niacina, ácido ascórbico y antocianinas. Su pigmento púrpura es un potente antioxidante natural, que previene la degeneración de algunas células, inhibe el colesterol malo y mejora la circulación. Este maíz crece en los Andes a unos 3.000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, su intenso color morado le da una particularidad sobre las otras clases de maíz. Así que no hay excusa para disfrutar de esta nutritiva y deliciosa bebida si pasas por Bolivia.

Una de las bebidas tradicionales en La Paz (Bolivia) para celebrar distintas festividades que incluyen eventos callejeros, es el sucumbé, un espirituoso elaborado a base de nuestro emblemático singani, preparado con leche, clavo de olor y canela, ideal para combatir las frías noches de julio. El sucumbé se consume caliente y con mucha espuma, una vez hervido se puede incorporar espuma de dos maneras, batiendo la leche enérgicamente o agregando claras de huevo batido. Cuentan que el origen del licor se remonta a los años 50, cuando una pareja de abuelos quería combatir el frío con leche caliente, pero luego se les ocurrió añadirle un poco de pisco peruano. Al probarlo descubrieron que era la combinación perfecta, luego la receta cambió el pisco por el singani, la bebida boliviana que ahora se está haciendo conocida en el mundo.

One of the traditional drinks used in La Paz (Bolivia) to celebrate different festivities (including street events) is the Sucumbé, a spirit based on the emblematic singani. Y si quieres tener una piel lozana e iluminada, el pomelo también será de gran ayuda, ya que la vitamina C estimula la producción de colágeno. Así que para tener una piel sana y joven, no te olvides de consumir pomelo de forma regular, ya sea recién exprimido en forma de zumo, como aderezo para ensaladas o incluso en forma de postre en mermeladas y jaleas.

EXITOSA VIVA GAMER FEST

Como parte del apoyo que viene brindando la telefónica VIVA a la escena gamer en Bolivia, anunció que este 2019 se llevará a cabo la primera Liga VIVA E-sports, que reunirá a competidores de deportes electrónicos a nivel nacional. Esta importante noticia para el mundo gamer fue lanzanda durante el Gamer Fest que se realizó el 25 mayo en el campo ferial Chuquiago Marka, que reunió a miles de fanáticos y aficionados de los E-Sports, donde disfrutaron de charlas, show matches en vivo y música gamer, entre otras actividades. “La Liga VIVA E-Sport será la competición de gamers a nivel nacional más importante que tendrá Bolivia este año. AMASZONAS LA MEJOR EN RSE El Rotary Club Chuquiago Marka distinguió a Amaszonas con el Premio Paul Harris a la Excelencia Empresarial en la categoría Responsabilidad Social.
