BREATHTAKINGly beautiful BALLET ‘dramatic, romantic and beautiful’ THE Post
‘Wholly surprising, achingly moving, beautifully crafted and tearfully romantic - it’s simply stunning’ THE TIMES
National Tour Partner: Leeds Metropolitan University
Everything about Northern Ballet’s Swan Lake makes this stunning production the perfect first event for this landmark theatre. The drama, the breathtaking beauty and the live orchestra all create a sense of occasion that will captivate hearts and minds – and show off Aylesbury’s new jewel. Anthony sees his reflection in the mirror-like surface of the water. He is haunted by the shadows of the past and the tragic death of his brother. Confused by his feelings towards his two best friends he looks to the water for answers – in whatever form they take. With all the beauty for which Swan Lake is renowned, Northern Ballet brings you a modern take on an iconic classic. This tale of love and obsession is performed to Tchaikovsky’s passionate and popular score, played live by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia. Britain’s favourite ballet company, Northern Ballet’s productions mix classical dance and theatre, embracing popular culture and taking inspiration from literature, opera, or giving a unique interpretation of classical ballets. 4

Starring in the iconic role of Eva Peron You couldn’t get a more perfect first ever musical at the Waterside than the famous West End production of the legendary Evita - one of the most successful of all time and one of the most loved. Featuring some of musical theatre’s all-time classics including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night Of A Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase In Another Hall, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary musical Evita plays for two weeks at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre following an international tour.
