Marti Pellow, the hugely successful solo artist and front man of Wet Wet Wet, makes a hotly-anticipated return to the UK stage in a major new production of the hit Broadway musical, Jekyll & Hyde. Marti Pellow’s successes with Wet Wet Wet include dozens of top ten singles and multi-platinum albums; their hit single, Love Is All Around, spent 15 weeks at the number one spot in the UK charts in 1994 when it featured on the soundtrack to the romantic comedy of the decade, Four Weddings And A Funeral. As well as a critically-acclaimed solo career, Marti has gone on to star in the West End, on Broadway and on national tour in the smash-hit stage musicals Chicago and The Witches Of Eastwick.

Glamorous, sexy and deliciously wicked in equal measures, Jekyll & Hyde is based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic gothic novella with book and lyrics by the Academy Award-winning composer Leslie Bricusse (Scrooge, Doctor Dolittle). Pellow stars as the brilliant but obsessive scientist whose sadistic alter ego wreaks havoc across Victorian London in this dark tale of love, redemption and the seductive power of evil.

Bourne’s vivid storytelling has never been more heart-stopping and touching, creating a unique and unforgettable depiction of a familiar and beloved fable. Matthew Bourne has achieved worldwide artistic success with his imaginative new stagings of popular classics such as Swan Lake, The Car Man, Nutcracker!, Dorian Gray and Edward Scissorhands. Sunday Times, News of the World, Sunday Express, Absolute Radio, Smooth FM, Magic FM After nearly five years of mischief, bad behaviour and political incorrectness, London’s funniest show by far is hitting the road. Footloose explodes onto the stage with classic ‘80s anthems including Holding Out For A Hero, Almost Paradise, Let’s Hear It For The Boy, and of course the title track, Footloose. Life in small-town Bomont is peaceful – until City boy, Ren, arrives. Breaking every taboo, Ren brings dance back to the heart of a town held back by the memory of a tragedy. Award winning actor Steven Pinder (Brookside, Doctors) takes to the stage as Reverend Shaw Moore. He is joined by star of the future Max Milner, who plays Ren, a role that launched the careers of Kevin Bacon following the iconic 1984 film and Derek Hough, who shot to fame in the musical production in 2006 and has since been crowned champion three times on hit US show Dancing with the Stars. Based on the hit ‘80s movie (which also launched the career of Sarah Jessica Parker and John Lithgow), Footloose has become a stage musical phenomenon. From Broadway to the West End and touring across the UK, it is packed full of electrifying dance routines, guaranteed to get you to your feet. Dancing is not a crime; to miss Footloose would be!

‘I DEFY ANYBODY WHO SEES THIS PRODUCTION TO SAY THEY HAVE SEEN A BETTER ONE’ Following sell-out performances in 2008, one of the most loved and successful of all musicals makes a welcome return to The Bristol Hippodrome – the famous West End production of the legendary Evita. Featuring some of musical theatre’s all-time classics including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night Of A Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase In Another Hall, Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s extraordinary musical Evita plays for one week only following an international tour. Bringing to life the dynamic, larger-than-life persona of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, Evita tells the story of her young and ambitious beginnings to the enormous wealth and power she gained and her ultimate rise to sainthood. With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar-winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, and featuring one of the most coveted roles in musical theatre, this brand new production of the smash hit show truly promises to be the theatrical event of the year!

‘TRULY SPECTACULAR’ Weston and Somerset Mercury
The worldwide smash-hit musical by Queen and Ben Elton returns for 3 weeks only following its sell-out run in 2009. Since 2002 over 11 million theatregoers in 17 countries have been thrilled to see this awe-inspiring production. With 24 of Queen’s biggest hits delivered in a show that boasts the scale and spectacle that marked the band’s legendary live performances, this theatrical phenomenon is not to be missed! When it became news some years back that one of Britain’s most phenomenally successful comedy writers, Ben Elton, was teaming up with legends of rock, Queen, for a musical, we all wondered what such a unique collaboration would turn out. Especially when screen icon Robert de Niro became so impressed after attending the original workshop that his company, Tribeca, came on board. The result was a new chapter in theatre history – We Will Rock You a rock ‘theatrical’ which defied all comparisons and has gone on to become a global smash hit. Starring Jenny Douglas BBC’s Over the Rainbow finalist, Leon Lopez Brookside/West End star, Ian Reddington EastEnders/Coronation Street, Ashley J Russell BBC’s I’d Do Anything finalist & Noel Sullivan Hear’say/Grease. Includes 24 of Queen’s greatest hits: Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, Don’t Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, Another One Bites The Dust, We Are the Champions, We Will Rock You 24 x

The producers of West Side Story and Guys and Dolls present the breathtaking and lavish Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific. This international hit landmark production which reinvented the classic musical swept the 2008 Tony Awards, played to sold-out houses on Broadway for 2 years, and is currently selling out across America. Considered one of the finest musicals ever written, the score includes Some Enchanted Evening, I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair and There is Nothin’ Like a Dame. Set on a tropical island during World War II, this is the sweeping romantic story of two couples, threatened by the realities of war and by their own prejudices. Its portrayal of Americans stationed in an alien culture in wartime is as relevant today as when it first thrilled audiences. With a cast of 40 and a live orchestra of 25, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness one of the greatest musicals of all time, as the critics agree, ‘This is a show you will remember forever.’ 28

Cradle To Rave is a musical journey, exploring the role music has played at every stage of Lenny’s life from the womb to the tomb. Hit it!
thu 2 jun 8pm l c g Ageing, religion, kids and relationships intertwine with the general absurdities of life. Searing observations and sumptuous imagery, painted across a large fraying canvas with cruel, curmudgeonly ‘Moranesque’ brush strokes, all delivered with Dylan’s renowned, shambolic charm. It’s simply unmissable.
