Welcome … to the Autumn and Winter season brochure for The Bristol Hippodrome. This season is packed full of fantastic shows that all the family can enjoy, including The Sound Of Music, which will be entertaining Bristol audiences for 5 weeks starting in November. We are very lucky to have Connie Fisher, who won BBC’s How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria, along with a supporting cast including Michael Praed and Marilyn Hill Smith. The season also includes Oklahoma! starring Marti Webb; one of the most fun and entertaining operas The Magic Flute performed by Welsh National Opera; and then rounding the year off in true pantomime-style we have the amazing Barbara Windsor, in our family pantomime Dick Whittington. Our diary for 2011 is already booking up – so please check our website regularly to keep up to date, or join us on Facebook, Twitter, and www.bristolhippodrome.tv for show clips, interviews, and more. I look forward to welcoming you to our theatre very soon. Best wishes

Strictly Come Dancing’s Craig Revel Horwood directs an amazing new production of Chess featuring a cast of West End stars, actors and musicians including James Fox (Fame Academy, Jesus Christ Superstar), Shona White (Wicked), Daniel Koek (West Side Story), Poppy Tierney (Mary Poppins), James Graeme (The Phantom of the Opera) and David Erik (Dirty Dancing). Chess has one of the greatest musical theatre scores of all time including One Night In Bangkok, Pity The Child, Anthem, You And I and, of course, I Know Him So Well.
