In order to support the substantial investment we have already made and will continue to make on the upgrading and maintenance of our beautiful theatres, ATG have introduced a £1 Restoration Levy into our theatres. This much needed funding has already allowed us to work on numerous projects that will preserve and restore our theatres for generations to come.

Here at the Alex we have already begun replacing the seating inside the auditorium, the front section of the stalls is now complete and this work will continue over the coming months. In addition, the theatre has undertaken major repairs to the roof and has purchased a new lighting desk to assist our visiting companies. These improvements are designed to maximise the theatre going experience for both audiences and visiting companies alike and there are many more exciting plans including work on the frontage and in the dressing rooms currently in discussion.
