Outrageous, hilarious, and a teeny bit controversial; The Producers is the smash hit musical comedy that has taken Broadway and the West End by storm. Winner of a record 12 Tony Awards, it follows the story of washed-up producer Max Bialystock, and timid accountant Leo Bloom as they plot to get rich quick, in the biggest show business scam ever. With a line up of sexy storm trooper showgirls and a chorus of wanton old ladies it certainly will be Springtime for Hitler in Birmingham this November! This amateur production is given by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York
The No.1 Greatest Musical, Grease, is back at the New Alexandra Theatre from 6 December for 4 weeks only! Danny Bayne (winner of ITV’s Grease Is The Word, Hairspray) returns as Danny with Carina Gillespie (Grease, Buddy) as Sandy. Dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as ‘bad boy’ Danny and ‘the girl next door’ Sandy fall in love all over again. It’s the original High-School musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin’ and many more. So throw your mittens around your kittens and Hand Jive the night away with the show that’ll make you want to stand up and shout, ‘A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop, A-wop-bam-boom!’
