THAT DAY WE SANG Victoria Wood, one of the UK’s best-loved writers and performers, writes and directs a new play for Manchester International Festival. That Day We Sang tells the story of the Manchester Children’s Choir and their famous 1929 recording of Nymphs and Shepherds. Four members of the choir are reunited forty-five years later for a TV documentary about the making of that record, triggering memories of the day itself and the years inbetween.
