Season Nixon decided to proceed with the growth of her long talons the first week of November 2017. Three years and five months or as of this publication, it will be her third time allowing them to extreme-lengths, and she is not going to stop.
We discussed the positive and negative aspects of extreme-nail growth. Season says they make her happy, she loves the look, exuberating color combinations, and she loves how the thumb and index finger twist, curve, and the sound they make when they clack together. On the other side of the spectrum, they get caught under long sleeves or occasionally lock together. She finds herself having to be careful when closing doors.
Season has found her niche in the community. Describing herself as a quiet person, she can express her art through the nails. Though confidently attractive or, as she phrased it, a head-turner, the longer nail length allows her to exude her creative side. The X’treme Nailz movement gives people with no platform a stage, you could say. It grants them to be seen and understood by those who appreciate them.
Extreme nails do come with a public opinion and typically of a discriminating nature due to prejudice exhibited by those still viewing them as taboo. What irritates her most is that people worry about your lower-body hygiene. Saying she lets them know, it is all kosher over here and adaptability comes with growth.
In public settings, among those who are unfamiliar with her, they do draw attention. She finds people like to silently watch as she performs regular tasks like writing or tying her shoe. Once they see how she handles the deed, usually they are impressed. Often, she has been told they would never be able to function with naillengths like hers. Some people avoid asking her questions directly and choose to question whomever she is with at the time. She would prefer they address her personally instead of acting as though they affect her ability to communicate or the inquiry is offensive.
Season takes responsibility for her nail care and designed a workspace modified solely for her nail that purpose. She spends at minimum five hours on their care, preferring a slim appearance with enough thickness to accommodate her daily activities. Her favorite color is a Pretty Blue, indulged in striped patterns and enthralled by the numerous variations she can create as they grow. The growth gives her a sense of achievement.
The two people that inspired her to grow longer-lengths than average? The Olympic runner, Florence Joyner Kersee enchanted, by the colors and the curl of her elongated natural nails. It gave her a sense of royalty to Season. There is also a first cousin that used to grow her right thumbnail unusually long. The dedication and time she used to maintain it intrigued Season, and the choice was a testament to the cousin’s style.
Now in creating her signature stripes/bands of colors. She enjoys adorning her talons with various hues of blue, favorably with candy cane-like stripes.
She used to coordinate the nails and the outfits. Most women in the community eventually let them morph into a formidable entity. The nails become a singular accessory shining by themselves, giving one a sense of being on stage when strangers are peering. I must remember, oh yeah, my nails.
Her feelings about X’treme Nailz International establishing this platform for the community? Finally, we have a platform to reach and teach people about what we do, how we adapt as the nails grow, like-minded people, respecting the love of exaggerated nails, the labor, and artistic expression. We can share our thoughts and feelings on varied lifestyles.
Attentive and overjoyed by the entertainment industry embrace of the new wave of extreme bling nails among women in various genres. She mentions, typically fashion focuses only on clothes, hair, or objects like cars. Now the emphasis is on the small personal details like nail art. She said it is about time. Cardi B. has the most fly nails in the entertainment business. Saweetie and Suki Hana follow as strong second-place contenders. They might have fake nails, but it is all good, as long as they exhibit creativity and beauty to the public. The exposure sheds a more positive light.
As for Queen Tippie Taps “aka” QTT. She has plans of debuting ASMR videos on different media platforms, eventually giving her fans weekly content.
