No matter what, Self-confidence is the foundation to your success. Don’t allow your self-confidence to succumb to negativity.

If unchecked negativity can be a dream killer. Talking with my X’treme Nailz sisters, I realized that dealing with negativity was a common denominator

However we all know, being an X’treme Nailz Diva comes with some public criticism and negativity. How we handle that negativity determines our path to success (remember only 10 percent of stressors are tangible, the other 90 percent is how we handle them)

So let’s put the NEGATIVITY to rest right now!

Here is my personal tips on overcoming negativity

#1 Smile- Always have a smile on your face, it is contagious. YOU’LL SEE!

#2 Surround yourself with people who generate positive energy.

#3 Be yourself and remember....No One and I mean No One is perfect and allow yourself to move on. My advice to you is NEVER allow anyone

to define WHO YOU ARE. In this nail industry, you will run across ignorance, jealousy and envy. Remember, that is their problem, NOT yours. Don’t play the victim. Show Strength and Confidence when it comes to YOU.

LENA ON NAIL CARE

I am often asked, how I take care of my nails being the length that they are. I have been a licensed Nail Technician for over 30 years and I’ve learned a lot.

Maintaining nails that are long and some extremely long can be challenging. If you are wearing acrylic overlays over your natural nails or wearing sculptured nails, maintenance and care is extremely important especially when it comes to the health of your nails.

To prevent lifting, molding and nail fungus, it is very important to use quality products. Application of the product is based on experience to ensure that you are preventing lifting, molding and nail fungus issues that can occur. I will be happy to share those tips with you. If you have natural nails long or short there are a couple of suggestions.

#1 If you don’t have time to keep up the maintenance of wearing acrylic overlay which is required to maintain healthy nails, I suggest regular manicures which involves pushing back the cuticles trimming the nails and wearing a nail hardener over them to prevent chipping.

#2 If you want to apply an acrylic overlay over your natural nails, I strongly suggest that you should NEVER EVER use the nail drill bit on top of

your natural nail bed. This can be very damaging overtime. I suggest prepping the nails manually. There is a right way and a wrong way of doing this and I will be happy to share this with you as well.

So to conclude.... Be yourself. Step out there Ladies and MAKE YOUR STATEMENT LADIES. Show that Confidence and Strength and always remember.... BE YOURSELF, YOU ARE MARVELOUS!!!
