Message from the U.S. Embassy Allow me to extend my heartfelt thanks to AmCham Denmark for being a steadfast partner of the Embassy in working for our common goal of boosting trade and investment between the United States and Denmark. Having arrived to Copenhagen in August 2016, I have already seen first-hand how well the Embassy and AmCham work together on projects, goals, and events of common interest. Whether by promoting a program to help mentor refugees in Denmark, assisting to organize the Presidential Election Breakfast, or hosting a farewell event for Ambassador Gifford, AmCham made a huge contribution through its partnership and its support of the Embassy. AmCham is a remarkable organization with dedicated members and I applaud both for being the voice of international business in Denmark. I also appreciate AmCham’s focus on Denmark’s business environment and its tireless work to make Denmark an even better place to do business - for international companies in general and American companies in particular. AmCham is an unwavering supporter in promoting Danish investments in the United States and has been a great ally of our SelectUSA program.
6 Yearbook 2017
Thank you for working closely with both the U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen and the Danish Embassy in Washington, D.C. to highlight the substantial Danish investments in the United States and the many jobs that Danish companies have created there over the years. In December, more than 75 AmCham members and guests bid farewell to a successful year at the annual AmCham / U.S. Embassy Commercial Service Holiday Party. I had the pleasure of congratulating AmCham on that occasion and here I wish again to emphasize my commitment and support to the important partnership between the Embassy and AmCham. I look forward to continuing this great relationship and to making it even stronger. Thank you for your support, professionalism and commitment. I, and the entire Embassy team, look forward to working closely with you in the years to come. Laura Lochman Chargés D’Affaires

Message from the CHAIRMAN AmCham has wrapped up another stellar year in 2016 – both by strengthening the dialogue between Denmark’s international business community and Danish decisionmakers, and by continuously reinforcing the business community’s network in the country.
this kind of positive message for the international business community.
As Denmark’s unique voice for international business, AmCham continued to deliver value for its members with a strong program of events and discussions that focused on topics relevant to the business community.
And, last but not least, I thank you, AmCham’s faithful members, for your participation and support. There has never been a more important time to have a strong collective voice speaking on behalf of international business, and with your continued support, we will make further advancements for our members in 2017.
According to AmCham’s Business Barometer survey in 2016, Denmark is well poised in the global marketplace, with strong selling points when it comes to attracting investment and talent from abroad. Therefore, there is tremendous potential for international companies in Denmark right now. I am honored to be working with AmCham and our members, as we move forward with
I would like to acknowledge the leadership and engagement of my fellow board members, who remain committed to AmCham’s success now and in the future.

Message from the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AmCham’s 2016 Yearbook and Membership Directory is full of examples of our accomplishments in 2016 – which was probably one of the most active years in the organization’s history. AmCham continues to raise the bar each year, evolving to improve the access and relevance for our members. We listen to your needs, and connect the dots within the network to bring the business community ever closer. AmCham’s 2016 program included policy-driven meetings with key ministers and political stakeholders; stimulating, high-level networking events; and top notch promotion and profiling opportunities for our member companies. Highlights included high level events with 9 ministers and political stakeholders; a partnership with the Women’s Board Award on their midyear event with 9/11 Fighter Pilot Heather Penney; partnerships with the U.S. embassy on several diversity and inclusion initiatives; a visit by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation on Smart Cities, and much, much more. With that I would like to thank AmCham’s dedicated staff and Board of Directors, for their commitment to continuously working to find ways to improve and fine tune every step of the way.
“Thanks to a pro-active Board of Directors and a dedicated staff, AmCham continues to raise the bar each year”

Sitecore Sitecore’s impressive growth and market position in the United States were the grounds for winning the Transatlantic Company of the Year 2016.
BUSINESS AWARDS A key focus for AmCham is to continuously communicate and recognize the contributions of international companies in both Denmark and U.S. In 2016, AmCham celebrated business excellence by awarding the Transatlantic Company of the Year and the Foreign Company of the Year to companies who have had the greatest impact on their respective side of the Atlantic.
26 Yearbook 2017
Through acquisitions, ongoing investments, and partnerships, Sitecore has established themselves as a global leader in customer experience management - a position they achieved and maintained by combining deep technical knowledge with insight into corporate and user needs and behavior.
DuPont DuPont is recognized as the 2016 Foreign Company of the Year for its strategic investments in the Danish Food ecosystem. With the acquisition of Danisco and the subsequent formation of a new headquarter for Nutrition & Health in Copenhagen, DuPont has demonstrated a strong conviction in the capabilities of the Danish food cluster by investing heavily in research and production facilities. By committing to numerous strategic partnerships as well as being a significant employer in Denmark, DuPont is a valuable asset to the Danish economy, and has shown great initiative to drive their global agenda from Denmark.
