AmCham Guatemala had 11 companies making up the 2016 Leadership Circle.

This is a program with the main objective of providing all services in a personalized manner, allowing its members to grow and develop their brands by having their presence in all means of AmCham’s communications.

This is all in the search of becoming strategic partner for each organization, where we provide them plenty of opportunities for commercial development and the necessary tools to have in impact within the American Market. In addition, we also facilitate the gathering of information and matchmaking with political, commercial, and regional agencies.

AmCham Guatemala has also helped the National Program of Competitiveness with the coordination of the Plan of the Alliance for Prosperity A4P, by attending the 7 consultative meetings throughout the year. These meetings were held monthly and with key actors of the public, private sectors and civil society to define strategical actions that would boost the economic development and reduce the migration of people to the United States.

In 2016, AmCham Guatemala opened a new digital communication channel with its members, through Business in Action magazine. This magazine had 9 issues and this communication has strengthened relations with our members within the private and public sectors.

We also worked very hard on social media, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter and the AmCham Guatemala website; all having very active participation as we reviewed and presented observations on the various drafts of Guatemalan laws. Not to mention generating great participation for our activities, trainings, events etc.

Furthermore, AmCham recognizes and is quite aware of the necessity for diversification on an international level. PROGRAMA DE AGREGADOS COMERCIALES, DE INVERSION Y TURISMO – PACIT Otto Mazariegos | Director Ejecutivo PACIT

Unos de los objetivos del programa son promover el comercio exterior de Guatemala en países y regiones donde se ubiquen las nueve sedes que están en Estados Unidos, México, Republica Dominicana, Colombia, España y Países Bajos. Los productos y servicios son atendidos por las empresas y empresarios. El objetivo del programa es de ser una facilitador, asesor, guía y apoyo a sectores.

También participamos cuando se requiere un involucramiento especial como lo son: dificultades que afecten el comercio exterior para productos ante entidades internacionales y situaciones que afecten los intereses del país.

Debido a la presencia en mercados relevantes, el programa colabora con misiones comerciales y eventos de sectores o entidades previa solicitud y confirmación. Atraemos visitas de empresarios y ejecutivos para que participen en ferias y eventos con quienes tenemos acuerdos o con quienes los ministerios coorganizan dichas actividades. Debido al alcance del programa este no puede actuar como un agente comercial más si atender a quien requiera nuestra atención.

El segundo sector es el sector Turismo. Debido a que Guatemala es un país apreciado por sus bondades naturales, culturales e historia, existe el interés de desarrollar esta industria. Se promueve el país como destino de turismo, se colabora con las organizaciones responsables de estos temas en busca de coordinación y apoyo a sus gestiones. Guatemala cuenta con innovaciones en áreas turísticas de oportunidad las que deben promoverse para ser conocidas de tour operadores quienes a su vez transmiten de estas oportunidades a sus clientes. Somos no el único canal pero si uno importante para el acercamiento de empresas extranjeras, medios audiovisuales y culturales a Guatemala. Nuestras actividades colaboran con la promoción de eventos, convenciones y ferias en especial aquellas que están dentro del Plan de Promoción Comercial de país.

Otro aspecto importante es la atracción de inversiones extranjeras a Guatemala. Esta inversión no solo es una fuente de ingresos de divisas sino además trae innovación, conocimiento, experiencia y tecnología; lo que promueve empleo y actualización. Nuestro país tiene características de gran potencial en su ubicación y cercanía a mercados internacionales con quienes tenemos acuerdos de libre comercio y de alcance parcial.

además de proveerle al mercado de Guatemala, que representa el 35% de PIB de la región a comercializar productos elaborados en Guatemala internacionalmente.

Para este año el programa busca enfocarse en actividades de alto impacto para buscar resultados relevantes para el país. Existen fuerzas de mercado internacional que requieren de actualizar las formas de hacer negocios y a la vez poder transmitirlas a nuestras organizaciones. Los asociados de AMCHAM deben saber que cuentan con un programa que aunque muchas veces no se ve, está velando por sus intereses a nivel internacional. Buscaremos actualizar las formas de hacer las cosas para que podamos proveer resultados positivos.

El programa de Agregados Comerciales, de Inversión y Turismo ha sido y es un participante relevante en el crecimiento de las exportaciones, la atracción de visitantes, el acercamiento a los mercados y la promoción del país internacionalmente. Nos unen objetivos comunes y relaciones de amistad con AMCHAM, los cuales continuaremos apoyando y desarrollando. De nuestra parte les auguramos a ustedes un exitoso año 2017.

Program of Trade, Investment and Tourism in Guatemala - PACIT One of the objectives of the program is to promote foreign trade from Guatemala to countries and regions where our nine offices are located: United States, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Spain, and the Netherlands; where the products and services are attended by the businesses and businessmen. Another objective of the program is to be a facilitator, consultant, guide, and support to the sectors. We also participate when our involvement is requested on products with international entities and situations that affect the interest of the country.

Due to our presence in relative markets, the program collaborates on commercial missions and sector or entity events before solicitation and confirmation.

We attract businessmen and executives whom we have agreements with or the ministry co-organize to participate in these fairs. However, due to reach of the program, we can’t act as a commercial agent for those that need our attention.

The second Sector is Tourism. Due to that fact that Guatemala is praised by many for its large abundance of natural sites, culture and history, the special interest of developing this industry very much exists. The country is promoted as touristic destination, where heavy collaboration with the responsible organizations of this topic is looked at for coordination and support. Guatemala also relies on innovation within the tourism sector in order to create opportunities and then promote it. This will cause tour operators to recognize the opportunity and ultimately showing them to their clients. Furthermore, we are not the only channel where foreign businesses, audiovisual and cultural media to Guatemala. Our activities collaborate with the promotion of events, conventions, and fairs; especially those that are a part of the Commercial Promotion Plan of the Country Another important aspect is to attract foreign investment for Guatemala. Investment is not only a source of income, but it also attracts innovation, knowledge, experience and technology; which promotes employment and modernization. Our country has the characteristics of great potential among its location and the approach it has had with international markets under the free trade agreements. This allows businesses in Guatemala that represent 35% of the region’s GDP, to not only commercialize elaborate products in Guatemala but internationally as well.

For this year the program looks to focus on highimpact activities to find relevant solutions for the country. There are currently several international market forces that require us to update the way we do business, but at the same time to pass it along to our organizations. AmCham’s member must know, although not very often seen, we are looking over your interests on an international level. And we will update our methods of doing business so we can provide positive results.

The Program of Trade, Investment and Tourism in Guatemala has been and is a relevant participator in the growth of exports, attracting visitors, approaching markets and promoting the country on an international scale. We are united by common goals and friendships with AmCham, which we will continue to support and develop. From us to you, we assure you a successful year in 2017.

¿Cómo inicia COMBEX-IM? Jorge Gómez| Director Combex - IM

Veinticinco años lleva COMBEX-IM brindando un servicio de excelencia a sus usuarios. Desde que, en la década de los ochenta, un grupo de empresarios visionarios, conformados por las principales cámaras y asociaciones productoras y exportadoras de Guatemala, creara el Comité de Operación y Mantenimiento de la Bodega de Exportación (COMBEX); se convirtió en el modelo de referencia para el manejo de carga que entra y sale del país.

Para el 89, el despacho de la carga de exportación era una realidad y al cumplir sus fines fue necesario ampliar y organizar sus facultades de modo que en los 90, el Estado también concedió el manejo de las importaciones; convirtiéndose en COMBEX-IM. Desde el 2007, actúa como Depósito Aduanero Temporal destacándose en la región por ser una empresa privada no lucrativa, especializada en la recepción, manejo,

custodia y despacho de productos de importación y exportación transportados vía aérea.

Así también resalto sobre los logros realizados en el 2016, destacando el desarrollo y fortalecimiento de la zona climatizada, que tiene como objetivo incrementar el prestigio del mercado agrícola. Con la inauguración del cuarto frío para las importaciones y una zona climatizada para la recepción de mercancías de exportación, manejaremos con estándares más sofisticados la cadena de frío de los productos perecederos.

El Licenciado Gómez enfatizó también los retos para el 2017 en la que indico: “Seguir fortaleciendo nuestros procesos, seguir comprometidos con el comercio guatemalteco y ampliar espacios; debemos crecer en cuanto a dimensiones, en base al desarrollo y crecimiento que el comercio guatemalteco ha reportado durante los

últimos años. Nuestro deseo es que crezca más, por lo que tenemos que estar preparados para poder recibir las cargas de importación y exportación que vengan en un futuro”.

How did COMBEX-IM Start?

COMBEX-IM has 25 years providing excellent service to its users. In the 1980’s a group of visionary businessmen, represented by the main chambers, production associations and exporters of Guatemala, created the Operation and Maintenance of Warehouse Exports Committee (COMBEX). This became the referencing model of management for the cargo that entered and left the country.

By 1989, the delivery of cargo for exports was in full effect. Now this feat was a big accomplishment because it was necessary to expand, organize, and reach full potential so that by 1990 the State had granted the committee with import management as well; thus becoming COMBEX-IM. Since 2007, it has acted as a Temporary Customs Warehouse, where it really stood out due to fact of being a private non-profit company that specializes in receiving, managing, handling and delivery of exports and imports by air.

Furthermore, to highlight the achievements made in 2016, we focused on strengthening and the development of Agro-climatic zones in order to generate awareness for the agricultural market. We did this by introducing a cold storage room for imports, and a climate controlled area for receiving exports. Making us be able to manage perishable goods under more sophisticated standards.

Gomez continued to emphasize on the challenges for 2017 by saying: “Continue strengthening our processes, continue committing ourselves to Guatemalan trade and opening spaces; we must grow in accordance of the growth and development of Guatemalan trade reports throughout the year. Our wish is for more growth, so we must be prepared to receive import and export cargos that come in the future.”

Reglamento de las Descargas y Reuso de Aguas Residuales y de la Disposición de Lodos Axel Solórzano | Pacheco Coto Guatemala

El agua es el medio perfecto para diluir contaminantes domésticos e industriales y alejarlos de nuestra percepción sensorial. No obstante, estos contaminantes tienen implicaciones adversas en los ecosistemas y la salud de la población. Por esta razón, desde el año 2006 se aprobó el Reglamento de las Descargas y Reuso de Aguas Residuales y de la Disposición de Lodos (Ado. 236-2006).

El Reglamento impuso metas de cumplimiento para reducir gradualmente la contaminación del agua para los años 2011, 2015, 2020 y 2030. Desde la publicación del Reglamento, ha pasado un tiempo prudencial para que los entes generadores traten sus descargas y cumplan con la normativa.

Regulations on the use and reuse of Wastewater and sludge disposal Water is the perfect medium to be diluting domestic and industrial contaminants, all being away from our sensory perception.

However, these contaminants have adverse implications on ecosystems and the health of the population. This is why in 2006 the regulation on the discharge and reuse of wastewater and sludge disposal was approved (Ado. 236-2006).

Se tienen considerados 16 parámetros de evaluación y cumplimiento en cuanto a los limites permisibles de descarga.

Se incluyen análisis microbiológicos, fisicoquímicos, nutrientes, cianuro y metales.

The Regulation imposed objectives of compliance that will gradually reduce water contamination for the years 2011, 2015, 2020, and 2030. Since the regulation publication, plenty of time had passed for the generating entities to treat their discharges and comply with the norm.

El cumplimento de la normativa conlleva una fuerte inversión inicial y considerables costos de mantenimiento. Dependerá del grado de contaminación de la descarga, del caudal y sistema de tratamiento elegido.

There are 16 parameters that are considered for evaluation and compliance upon the permissible limits of discharge. This includes microbiological, physicochemicals, nutrients, metals and cyanide analyses.

En los 10 años de vigencia del Ado. 236-2006 la mejora en la calidad de los cuerpos de agua superficiales y subterráneos es imperceptible; el mejor ejemplo es el Lago de Amatitlán.

The compliance of the norms entails a strong initial Investment and considerable costs for maintenance. This depends on the grade of contamination of the discharges, which in turn determines the rate and treatment chosen.

Within the 10 years of Ado. 236-2006, the improvement of quality of surface or underground bodies of water is imperceptible; the best example is Lake Amatitlán.

El espejismo del Acuerdo de Asociación Transpacífico (TPP) María Inés Valle Balsells | Coordinadora de Trade Center Amcham

Detalles acerca del Acuerdo de Asociación Transpacífico: El TPP (TransPacific Partnership Agreement) es un Tratado de Libre Comercio integrado por países de la Cuenca del Pacífico Canadá, Estados Unidos, México, Chile, Japón, Malasia, Singapur, Vietnam, Brunei, Australia y Nueva Zelanda, representando así el 40% del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) a nivel mundial, siendo 1/3 del comercio internacional, con alrededor de 800 millones de habitantes, de acuerdo a cifras del Banco Mundial (BM). Las negociaciones del Tratado comenzaron en el año 2010. Luego, fue firmado oficialmente en febrero del año 2015 y, poco a poco, el Congreso de cada país irá aprobando el acuerdo.

Lo que busca el acuerdo es derrumbar las barreras y permitir el libre comercio entre los países integrantes.

Postura de E.E.U.U. ante el Acuerdo: Cabe resaltar que el Tratado fue impulsado, mayormente, por Estados Unidos bajo la administración ex presidente Barack Obama. Hoy en día, el actualmente presidente Donald 12 Business in Action Enero 2017

Trump ha mencionado, desde su campaña electoral hasta el día de hoy, que su país no desea formar parte del tratado, buscando así retirarse, aun no siendo aprobado por el Congreso.

El argumento del presidente Trump en contra del Acuerdo radica en el hecho de negociar preferiblemente acuerdos bilaterales de comercio, en los que Estados Unidos se vea beneficiado en cuanto a la generación de empleo e inversiones en su territorio.

Recordemos que el Presidente Trump siempre ha estado en contra de los Tratados multilaterales que, en su opinión, afectan a la economía estadounidense.

Implicaciones para el Tratado tras la nueva postura de E.E.U.U.: Evidentemente, tras nueva postura de Estados Unidos, se torna cuesta arriba la entada en vigor del Tratado. Esto se debe a que para que el Tratado entre en marcha, necesita de la aprobación de 6 países que representen no menos del 85% del PIB de los 12 países que lo integran.

En términos concretos, es necesario reconocer que el Tratado será un mito o espejismo mientras Japón y Estados Unidos no lo aprueben…¿Por qué?

Porque estos dos países, en conjunto, representan el 80% del PIB del grupo de las 12 naciones del Acuerdo.

El impacto del TPP en la industria textil centroamericana: En un inicio, el tema de los textiles y las prendas de vestir bajo el TPP creó cierto temor en la industria textil y de prendas de vestir de Centroamérica. Esto, debido a la desventaja que representaría para la región, ya que el Tratado llevaría a 0% de arancel los textiles y las prendas de vestir fabricadas en Vietnam y Malasia hacia E.E.U.U. Vietnam es el segundo país que provee de dichos productos a USA. Y bajo las normas del Acuerdo, tanto Vietnam como Malasia se verían en una postura muy beneficiosa, al Estados Unidos adquirir textiles con precios más accesibles y ventajosos.

mucho más positiva, pues implica que la industria de la región no se verá impactada por la competencia que implicaría Vietnam y Malasia bajo los beneficios del Tratado.

Recordemos que, según datos del Ministerio de Economía de Guatemala, en el año 2015 las exportaciones de textiles y prendas de vestir fue de US$1,575.4 millones, lo que significa un 15% del PIB de Guatemala.

The Illusion of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP) Details of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement (TPP): The TPP is a free trade agreement comprised up of countries of the Pacific Basin, Canada, the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Brunei, Australia, and New Zealand, representing a 40% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), worldwide, which is 1/3 of the international trade, with 800 million inhabitants, according to the World Bank (WB). The negotiation of this agreement began in the year 2010.

Later, the Agreement was officially signed on February 2015, and gradually, the Congress of each country will be passing the agreement.

The goal of this agreement is to tear down the barriers and allow free trade among countries.

View of the U.S. before the agreement: This Agreement was pushed, mainly, by the U.S. under the Obama Administration. Today, president-elect Donald Trump has mentioned, since his electoral campaign until now, that his country is not going to take part on the TPP, so it can leave the table of negotiations before being passed by the Congress.

the fact of negotiating bilateral trade agreements, in which the U.S. will be benefited in issues such as job generation and investments in its territory. We should keep in mind that president-elect Trump has always been against multilateral agreements, because he thinks that they harm the U.S. economy.

Implications for the Treaty after the new outlook of the U.S.: Certainly, after the new outlook of the U.S., the entry into force of this Agreement is more difficult, due to the fact that in order to get this TPP into force, it needs the approval of 6 countries, which represent no less than 85% of the GDP of the 20 countries which comprise it.

This Agreement will be a myth or an illusion while Japan or the U.S. do not endorse it…Why? Because these two countries represent an 80% of the GDP of this group of 20 nations in the Treaty.

Impact of the TPP for the Central America textile industry: At the beginning, the textiles issue under the TPP raised certain threat for the industry, due to the advantage for the region, because this Agreement would have a 0% tax for textiles and garments made in Vietnam and Malaysia towards the U.S. Vietnam is the second country that supplies these products to the U.S. Under the norms of this Treaty, Vietnam as well as Malaysia will be benefited at the time the U.S. will purchase textiles with better prices.

Nevertheless, with the new outlook of the U.S. at the TPP, Central America took a more positive view, because the industry of the region will not be affected by the competence of Vietnam and Malaysia under the benefits of this Agreement.

According to the Guatemalan Ministry of Economy, during the year 2015 textile exports were US$1,575.04 million, which is a 15%of the Guatemalan GDP.

A4P Plan de Alianza para la Prosperidad: retos 2016 y expectativa 2017.

Entrevista a Acisclo Valladares Gabriela Negreros | Coordinadora del Plan Alianza para la Prosperidad AmCham

El Plan de la Alianza para la Prosperidad es un plan trabajado por los países del Triángulo Norte con el acompañamiento de Estados Unidos, cuyo objetivo es el de reducir la migración causada por la falta de generación de oportunidades económicas. ¿Cuáles fueron los retos más fuertesdel PAPTN en el 2016?

La primera parte del 2016 nos llevó a concertar a los distintos sectores y actores principales en nuestra economía, con base en ello generamos el Cuerpo Consultivo como órgano rector del PAPTN el cual es integrado por sector público, privado y sociedad civil.

Uno de los retos actuales es lograr enfocarnos en el planteamiento estratégico de cada uno de los actores y en ir monitoreando la ejecución, es decir, como logramos impacto en indicadores específicos siguiendo la misma ruta. La única forma de percibir el éxito del PAPTN es midiendo las intervenciones y sus resultados. ¿Qué avances se han logrado en los 51 municipios priorizados por parte del plan?

Se han realizado visitas a casi la totalidad de los 51 municipios teniendo como resultado el diálogo con todos los actores relevantes y la definición de una hoja de ruta para poder alinear a los diferentes sectores.

Cabe resaltar la selección de los 3 municipios piloto (Nebaj, Momostenango y Jocotán) en los que consideramos sobre todo generar intervenciones de corto plazo. ¿Qué se puede esperar del PAPTN en el 2017?

Se verán distintos municipios que vayan avanzando en su hoja de ruta y ser capaces de atraer a los actores claves del municipio y alinearlos con el objetivo de concretizar proyectos. Se percibirán municipios más avanzados que otros y el reto será ir equiparando a todos para que mantengan el ritmo.

¿Quiénes son los actores más importantes para que el desarrollo del PAPTN en el 2017 sea exitoso?

El gobierno a través de los consejos de desarrollo, las autoridades locales y la sociedad civil de los municipios. Serán ellos quienes apoyen llevando a la práctica los resultados, los proyectos y la medición de los indicadores correspondientes en cada municipio. ¿Cuál es la razón principal por la cual las personas emigran?

En el caso de Guatemala la gran mayoría del fenómeno migratorio se explica por la falta de oportunidades de desarrollo económico. Es raro que las personas migren desde sus comunidades a Estados Unidos de forma directa, contamos con un fenómeno migratorio interno por causas como la falta de educación, acceso al mercado laboral y otros.

Las oportunidades deben generarse localmente, es necesario que mejoremos nuestros sistemas, conectividad y fortalecimiento de cada uno de los ejes estratégicos del Plan de Alianza para la Prosperidad.

Alliance for Prosperity Plan in the Northern Triangle (PAPTN): The Challenges from 2016 and expectations for 2017.

The Alliance for Prosperity Plan is being carried out by the Northern Triangle countries along with the support of the United States. Where their main objective is to reduce the causes of migration by creating and developing economic opportunities.

What were some of the biggest challenges faced in 2016?

At the beginning of 2016 we were able to reach out to the different sectors and main contributors within our economy. Now based on that, we were able to create a consultative board with members of the private, public and civil society sectors that would act as the plan´s governing body

What were some accomplishments within the 51 prioritized municipalities?

We were able to visit almost all 51 municipalities.

This created a conversation with all relevant actors and define a roadmap to follow that will allow us to have a better idea of how we should be treating the different sectors.

It is definitely worth mentioning the selection of the 3 pilot municipalities (Nebaj, Momostenango, and Jocotán) where we believe to generate shortterm mediation.

What can we expect from PAPTN in 2017?

We will be able to see various municipalities progressively moving forward and following their roadmap, being fully capable of attracting key elements of the municipality and guide them to complete projects. These will be categorized as more advanced than other municipalities, now the challenge will be supporting others to keep the same pace.

Who are the most important actors for the development and that PAPTN be successful in 2017? The government through development advisement, local authorities and the civil society of municipalities. These are the people that will be supporting the projects and the mediation of corresponding indicators in each municipality.

What is the primary cause of people wanting to migrate? In the case of Guatemala, majority of the migration phenom can be explained by the lack of opportunities for economic development. It’s rare that people migrate from their communities and to the Unites States just cause. Our internal migration phenom is caused by the lack of education, and labor market access among others.

At the end of the day opportunities must be created locally. This is precisely why we must improve its very core, the Alliance for Prosperity Plan’s reach and strength.

La Cámara Guatemalteca Americana de Comercio - AmCham – desde hace trece años ha institucionalizado el Premio “Contribución a la Comunidad” como un justo y merecido reconocimiento a aquellas empresas asociadas y socialmente responsables que durante el año han contribuido de manera excepcional a impactar positivamente en el desarrollo sostenible de las comunidades. Este Premio se da en cinco categorías: Social, Educación, Ambiente, Desarrollo para Colaboradores y el Gran Premio.

Según Bernardo Kliksberg*, considerado el gurú de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE), en los últimos cincuenta años las empresas han evolucionado desde el concepto de “la empresa egoísta” en la cual su única preocupación era la de maximizar sus utilidades en el menor tiempo posible, debiéndole rendir cuentas únicamente a sus accionistas. Luego, surgió “la empresa filantrópica” en la que aumentaron las donaciones pero a causas muy específicas. Posteriormente, debido a las presiones de sectores sociales, se llegó a la etapa de los “stakeholders”, en la cual

la empresa debía rendir cuenta de sus acciones a todos los involucrados en su campo de acción, de la cual dependía su éxito.

Actualmente se habla de “la empresas con alta RSE”. Las tendencias mundiales han demostrado que los consumidores de productos y los usuarios de servicios prefieren a las empresas ética y socialmente responsables, aquellas que demuestran un interés genuino en el desarrollo integral de sus colaboradores, cuidado del medio ambiente, cumplimiento de las leyes del país y una participación activa en actividades en beneficios de las comunidades, especialmente aquellas vulnerables por la pobreza, desnutrición, analfabetismo y falta de oportunidades. The Community Contribution Award

The American Chamber of Commerce in Guatemala – AmCham Guatemala – institutionalized the “Community Contribution Award” thirteen years ago as a just and deserving recognition of member companies who show exceptional contribution to the community.

Through Corporate Social Responsibility people have demonstrated their efforts throughout the 2016 year and how it has been impacting community development in a positive manner. This award is sectioned into to five categories: Social, Education, Environment, collaborate development and a Grand Prize.

According to Bernando Kliksberg, considered to be the guru of Corporate Social Responsibilty (CSR), companies have evolved over the past 50 years from the concept referred as “Selfish Business.”

This is when our only preoccupation was to maximize profits within the shortest period of time and held accountable only to the shareholders. Then came “Entrepreneurial Philanthropy,” where donations increased significantly, but only to specific causes. This in turn caused pressure from all social sectors, the “stakeholders,” in which the company had to disclose everything to everyone involved directly.

Today, people talk about companies with the best CSR reputations, and worldwide studies show that product consumers and service users prefer ethical and social responsible companies. The very companies that show genuine interest in integral development of people, environment conscience practices, abiding the country’s laws, and active participation in activities that benefit their community; especially those that mitigate poverty, malnutrition, illiteracy, and the lack of opportunities.
