EXPO 23 INSPIRE

AMC was delighted to welcome members, exhibitors and sponsors to London, Ontario for two days of networking, learning, trade show and socializing for AMC Expo 2023: INSPIRE on April 26th and 27th.

Wednesday afternoon saw Expo attendees boarding buses for a short trip up to the university district for a tour of The National Research Council of Canada’s London facility. Although

pictures and video were not allowed inside the building, knowledge of new and interesting research projects was taken out by AMC members. The tour included talks and demonstrations by NRC scientists on laser surfacing, coatings, metal repair and autonomous vehicles.

After a mix and mingle in the trade show space at the hotel, the buses were boarded again, this time headed to Toboggan Brewing Company for appetizers, brewery tour, tastings, networking and fun.

Thursday was a packed day with dynamic and inspirational lectures from talented speakers and plenty of networking in the trade show space. The outstanding speakers delivered key insights on driving the industry forward through research and commercialization, attraction and retention of critical talent and using digital media to effectively market goods and services.

A highlight of the afternoon speakers was Judy Croon, Canada’s Keynote Humourist, who got attendees laughing and thinking about creative ways to relieve work-related stress.
