ome of the most shocking headlines of the past few years have dealt with the growing epidemic of social cruelty, particularly bullying and cyberbullying.

Cyberbullying is on the rise. A Consumer Reports survey conducted in early 2011 reveals that, in the past year, one million children were harassed, threatened, or subjected to other forms of cyber bullying on Facebook.

Boys and girls suffer from different forms of bullying. A report published in the Psychiatric Times shows that boys are more likely to engage in direct bullying – hurtful physical and verbal acts.
