KIF Community Tournament Over 100 high school students from Harlem, Washington Heights, and the Bronx competed in the second America SCORES New York Kicking it Forward Alumni Tournament in May! This was an exciting way to round out our year-round programming with our ASNY alumni!

Fall Frenzy In October, ten of our partner schools sent 300 elementary schoolers to take part in soccer games, poetry performances, and a literacy project!

Even though our seasons are highlighted by a myriad of activities, there are four events that truly define a year at America SCORES New York. These days act as opportunities for our young poet-athletes to show off their soccer skills, perform their transformative poetry, and display their community-focused service projects, but they are often much more than that. All of these events allow the poet-athletes to interact with other students outside of ther immmediate community, as well as let their families and friends see what their time at SCORES really means to them!

Poetry Slam In late November, we held our 14th annual Poetry SLAM at A. Phillip Randolph High School! Inspirational, thoughtful and powerful words spoken in over 100 poems impressed all in attendance!

Jamboree Jamboree! marks the end of our S pring season and gives our poet-athletes the opportunitiy to present their community projects and play soccer against a variety of schools from other communities.
