those two elements in the world of work. Despite of the clear focus of what Professionals from IS would be, in the early stages such as in the study itself and in the early working experience, People sometime biased to define what School of Information System really is; whether it is more to Business Management or Computer Science. As been said before, we are the bridge for those two elements and we need to express more about our true identity to clarify people’s perspective towards “Information System”

Queensland University of Technology Ranked within the top 10 Universities in Australia and the upper 3% worldwide, Queensland University of Technology surely is one of the best university in the world. Earlier this year, QUT and School of Information System arranged a meeting and within the meeting, QUT proposed an idea to make a competition with strong focus in Information System. In our opinion, QUT wants to emphasize and make a statement that the university have strong focus in this aspect, Information System.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

Being a collaboration between BINUS International and QUT, Partners who choose to support ISCC 2014 will have exposure to booth and QUT as well as the participant’s ISCC’s competition scheme is different from other Case Competition, as we strive to deliver a new experience of an “IS” or “IT” Case Competition through a professional, elegant and bona fide competition.

ISCC is designed to be an annual event which can grow larger and larger, and eventually reach the international stage.

Being supported by QUT, starting from next year ISCC will become one of the biggest “IS” or “IT” Case Competition in Indonesia.

5 We also have a five year plan, targeting to become the most bona fide “IS” or “IT” Case Competition in the world. This five year plan enables the development of ISCC in the following years to be clear and progressive. We have established the guidelines for our project development to achieve our goal.

13

For scoring and judging purpose in this competition, we invited several professionals who have educational and business background from our stakeholders and partners.

14

In this competition, not only the solutions provided by the participants which are evaluated. But the depth of their analysis and their solid strategy are considered as well. We emphasize these focuses through our rounds which have been well thought out and conceptualised very carefully.
