TUESDAY :: JANUARY 31 Chapel :: 10:00 am Worship : Jordan Magelssen Main Speaker : Marsha Relyea Miles Marsha Relyea Miles is a missionary with Pioneer Bible Translators, and has served as a Bible translator in Papua New Guinea for 23 years. Together with her late husband John and their 3 children, Marsha ministered among the Aruamu people group, a traditionally animistic group of approximately 10,000 people who live in remote hamlets in the rainforest. John and Marsha worked with a large team of Aruamu people to translate and publish the New Testament in Aruamu. Tragically, John died in Papua New Guinea in 2005, just as the New Testament was being printed. Marsha continues involvement with the Aruamu translation team with exegetical/advisor assistance as they translate the Old Testament. Marsha currently serves as Director of Church Mobilization and Development with PBT. She had the privilege of serving as President of the 2007 National Missionary Convention. She holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Ozark Christian College and a Masters in Linguistics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Marsha married Nathan Miles of the United Bible Societies in 2006. Together they are blending a large family of 6 children, and 9 grandchildren.

An Event Which Will Shake the Ages: IFW 8:00-11:00 pm The Mabee Student Center Step 1: Get a shirt. Bring a shirt to the shirt-making gathering the night of January 31 to the Mabee Student Center. (Or, you can make them in your room if you’d like!) Step 2: Design your shirt. There are four things that you must put on your shirt. Here they are: 1. Write an AABCCB poem on your shirt about missions!* 2. Write a Bible verse relating to missions on your shirt in a foreign language.** 3. Draw your favorite foreign country.** 4. Draw pictures of your favorite missionaries. Include their names and location, if you are allowed. *Here is an example of an AABCCB poem: Ponies and chocolate are the champions of the universe. With them and their cronies I do like to converse. They once painted me a picture of a rhinoceros! Ponies and chocolate are my forever friends. My love for them will continue long after time ends. And yes, this is preposterous. **There will be verses in foreign languages and country outlines provided! Step 3: Wear your shirt!

Child Trafficking :: M35 Wade Landers
You may have heard that girls are trafficked in the sex industry, but did you know that boys are too? Surveys indicate that 30 to 35 percent of all sex workers in the Mekong sub-region of Southeast Asia are between 12 and 17 years of age. Mexico’s social service agency reports that there are more than 16,000 children engaged in prostitution, with tourist destinations being among those areas with the highest number. According to the Joshua Project, out of the 16,000 people groups in the world, nearly 6,900 are “unreached” (less than 2% evangelical), comprising more than 2.8 billion people. There are reasons these groups are unreached; they live in some of the hottest, darkest, starkest territories on earth. Some live in hostile or restricted nations. There are issues of travel time, poor health care, and outright social hostility. However, Jesus never suggested we should only make disciples of the “easy nations.” This week, we are inviting you to join us in reaching the unreached. This wall scattered throughout the Chapel lists the names of every unreached people group in the world. Please take a moment to stop and pray for God to raise up workers to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes...”
