The development area selected for the preparation of DP 2041 are the twin cities of Bharuch-Ankleshwar under BAUDA (Gujarat, India). The existing scenario was analyzed to formulate a vision plan for 2041. The boundary delineation was justified as per the requirement for 2041 and thus the concepts for the development plan were worked on under road network and zoning. The study started by incorporating the takeaways from the 3 exercises under micro level planning within 1 sq km,Ahmedabad, road network analysis of Bangalore city, and finally the study on a similar industrial city of Detroit,- Michigan. Various site visits and discussions with the Municipal, BAUDA, Industrial, GPCB authorities ad various developers and residents of the areas were conducted to understand the functioning and existing scenario of the twin cities of Bharuch and Ankleshwar under BAUDA.The development plan was worked on as a group of 4 on the basis of this understanding.
