RAKERNAS 2015: 3 Days of Knowledge, Action, and Friendship by: Koe stella
As convenient as it was held in Jakarta, we, delegates from AMSA-UI, did not fail to get the fun. Rapat Kerja Nasional (RAKERNAS) 2015 was held by Universitas Trisakti on August 28th-30th. Such a thrill it was for AMSA-UI delegates as we were excited having gained our knowledge, new friends, and contributed to raising respiratory health awareness, all packed into three days awa of fun. As convenient it might be, it turned out that, as people of Jakarta, we did not get any less than euphoric experiences. On the first day, we were greeted warmly by our liaison officer and the committee. Some of us participated in National Museum tour and sightseeing. An irony, yes, living in Jakarta, yet some of us have not visited the famed historical site. Nonethe less, we enjoyed the time very much. The tour was continued with presentation by Elsevier and surprisingly one of us won free books during the session. After break, the day was closed by a welcoming party. Greetings and performances were con ducted and succeeded in making us entertained. On one day after, we attended seminar with topics of BPJS and respiratory health. After break, the real event began. Hearing of AMSA-INA programs for the next period was held. For me, as a new member, it was my formal introduction to AM SA-INA and I was highly interested. I believe it was the same to other new members from AMSA-UI as four of us later applied to be National Team.
That day was closed by a stunning farewell party. On the last day, we had the chance to do a health campaign in TMII. Although it made my throat quite sore, it was outweighed by the fun we got during the campaign and mini games. We socialized the danger of smoking and key facts of tuberculosis, hoping that it would raise respiratory health awareness within society. I believe this particular national event, even though it was my first, was short and sweet. I am grateful that I had the chance to socialize with other medical students in Indonesia and meet great leaders including OC, RC of AMSA-INA, and familiarize myself with EB and AB of AMSA-INA. I trust that all of the delegates are looking forward to the next national event.

Technology and Resources of Modern Medicine in a Globalized Era by: Lara aristya
National Action Event (NAE) 2015 was hosted by AMSA-UPH on November 20th-22nd. All of AMSA-UI’s delegates gathered to enjoy the fascinating events for three days. Eighteen delegates coming from different background; general delegate, debater, and competitors of PCC and NRPC; proudly showed their existence with full of excitement to follow the whole event. On the first day, our LO were ready to welcome us to join the Hospital Visit. The HosVis was followed by the event awaited, Welcoming Party. We cherish the Welcoming Party, which was held at Yasmin Hotel, by getting know other delegates coming from other universities and participating in fun games. The second day was started with training called Spektra (Scientific Presentation Skill Training) by Vito Filbert Jayalie at FK UPH. Then, we separated ourselves; debaters remained still, the others headed to Kecama tan Cilenggang to objectify the “action” philosophy. AMSA-Indonesia, collaborating with Palang Merah Indonesia con-
ducted Drops of Compassion for blood donor. For those who didn’t, they had a chance to socialize from door to door about cancer. After those thrilling activities, delegates gather to enjoy the farewell party, enclosing the second day. We witnessed the presentation from NRPC’s finalists and PCC competitors; and the inauguration of Ambassador of Public Health.
Another health campaign was conducted at Kota Tua to start the last day of NAE. After that, we went back to FK UPH to observe the final round of debate competition, which was won by Undip. After the afternoon break, the committee announced the winner of debate competition and the NRPC. What a boast, AMSA-UI successfully won the NRPC and got the title of 4th best speaker in debate competition.

EAMSEP UI FOR CROATIA 2015
It was a really great honor for AMSA-UI to host the first ever European-Asian Medical Students’ Exchange Program (EAMSEP) in Indonesia. 9 Croatian medical students from the University of Rijeka participated in this program. The program was held from the 1st of August to the 14th of August, fulfilled with aspects of Knowlegde, Action, Friendship and Culture, based on the vision of AMSA-UI. Talking about aspects of knowledge, this program was filled with various academic activities. Starting from the pre-clinical basic clinical skills to a real clinical experience where we got the wonderful opportunity to observe various live surgical procedures, followed an academic and work-shadowing experience in the Department of Child Health, RSCM. Other academic activities include laboratory experiment, and academic tours to Anatomical Pathology Museum RSCM and Eijkmann Institute RSCM. The delegates got the chance to do some action on a beautiful Sunday morning, in the heart of Jakarta. We promoted the event “Shave for Hope” to the participants of Car Free Day in front of the Welcoming Statue, Jakarta. “Shave for Hope” itself is one of the biggest annual event organised by AMSA-INA to raise funds for those who suffer from cancer.

Regarding the aspects of friendship, we had lots of activities and tours to strengthen the bond between the delegates and the host, and of course we had lots of fun! There were three different tours outside Jakarta, including of a tour to Taman Safari Indonesia, a tour to Bandung and a tour to Sukabumi for the purpose of rafting. We had the opportunity to indulge ourselves by the uniqueness of Indonesian cuisine. We played some games together including lasergame and badminton. Technically we had three different parties, which is the opening party, closing party, and nightclub party. We also had a visit to shopping centres such as Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. Hundreds of hours that we spent with them was fully memorable and worth to cherish. Cultural aspects were also strongly highlighted during this program. Strong cultural differences between Croatia and Indonesia made this aspect to be more interesting. We visited the Textile Museum where the delegates got the chance to paint Batik in a traditional way and the National Museum. In addition, we visited several places which are identic to Indonesian culture such as Saung Angklung Udjo Bandung, Alun-Alun Bandung, Gedung Sate Bandung, Masjid Istiqlal, and traditional music festival in Kota Tua. Last but one of the most important, we made the delegates to feel the taste of various Indonesian food.

amsa ui goes to rehab 2015 By: sarah humaira
PRSS AMSA-UI 2015/2016 starts its journey by a project called AMSA-UI Goes To Rehab Center (AUGTRC). AUGTRC itself is held at PSMP Handayani in Bambu Apus on December 12th 2015. The event AUGTRC is not only beneficial for our friends in PSMP Handayani, but also for us. Through this event we hoped we can eliminate the negative stigma on our friends who are currently undergo rehabilitation or serving their sentence, because we believe we are all humans and we are not perfect. Its okay to make mistakes, but we should learn from it. Through this event we also learnt not to judge someone for what they have done in the past because we don’t know the reason behind the things they did. During the first session, dr. Fisa and kak Nindi gave a seminar about physical health. There is also a dental screening which is done by our friends from BEM FKG UI. Before we proceed to the second and last session, there is a game lead by our division of event and it was full of fun! And in the second session, we have lunch and sharing session about mental health and dreams. Here, there are facilitators that help guide the sharing session therefore it is more mo structured but still fun. To close the event, we said thank you to the people that have been involved in this project and also to our friends in PSMP Handayani for following the sessions enthusiastically. Lastly, we took group pictures. Thank you so much for PSMP Handayani, our friends in AMSA-UI, BEM FKG UI, our seniors as facilitators and dr. Heriani for helping PRSS first project, AUGTRC.
