Y O U T H INTERNSHIP
Youth internship, also known as Magang Youth, is an event held by the Recruitment Division of AMSA UI to introduce the identity of AMSA. The main purpose of this event is to broaden the knowledge of soon-to-bemember about AMSA and the possibilities they can achieve by being a part of the AMSA family. This year Magang Youth is divided into two session, the 16 and 23 of March. On the ďŹ rst session, youth are further informed about AMSA UI where their journey in AMSA starts. We introduced the divisions and what we deal with so they can understand more and later decide what suits them best.
During this period all the manager of AMSA UI gladly came and join to explain what they have achieved during their tenure. After that fun event, Magang Youth continued on the second day. This time, they got a lot more knowledge on how amazing and interesting the world of AMSA is. They are introduced to AMSA on Indonesia level and on international level. We invited AMSA INDONESIA and AMSA INTERNATIONAL member to directly explain it to us. Such a wonderful experience to know that there are people having the same ideals to achieve the same goal together in other places. Thus, the journey in AMSA began!
AMSA CHEF : DIAGNOSE YOUR DIET “Why we must have breakfast?” “What constitutes as a nutritious breakfast?” “How can we make them?” Maybe some of us ever had these questions, as we looked to our probably unhealthy daily life. But through this event held by the youths of AMSA UI, those questions are answered. AMSA Chef: Diagnose your diet, is the name of an all-English event held by the youths as a part of the recruitment process. In this event which is held in 15 April 2017, we learned about the importance of breakfast, how to prepare a nutritious one, and so on, from a speaker from the Faculty of Public Health, UI. The fact that the speaker is from another faculty in the
health sciences group, this adds an element of collaboration between healthcare-workers-to-be to this event.
But wait, does it stop there? Turns out, the presentation is nothing but a prelude to the next game: a cooking competition! The “fight” for ingredients hyped up the game. Although the fight for ingredients may seem like a little anarchy, at the end everyone is having a good, hyped-up time. Everyone got a good time to bond with each other, be it among youths, or with senior AMSA members, and even the speakers too!
NATIONAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING National Leadership Training (NLT) was one of the most anticipated national event held by AMSAIndonesia. As the fourth event of this year's AMSAINA's tenure, AMSA-Universitas Trisakti was entrusted to host the NLT in Jakarta. The three-day event commenced with a city tour exploring the finest of Indonesia's capital city; followed by a tour in Museum Bahari; and ended with games, dinner and many other activities in the opening party. The delegates then moved to Bumi Perkemahan (BUPER) Ragunan to prepare for the hectic second day. Meanwhile, our Regional Chairperson Candidate, Elvira Lesmana, underwent the Fit & Proper Test on the first night.
The main event, Emergency Relief Training, took place on the second day and was aided by TBM FK USAKTI. This event enlightened NLT participants of the basics in emergency relief and disaster management such as immobilization, splinting, and transportation of injured patients. After an exhausting yet remarkable experience in BUPER, the National Leadership Training concluded with a farewell party where the delegates played games, ate dinner and indulged in conversations with future colleagues outside of UI. The peak of the event closed with Muhammad Raoul Taufiq Abdullah being announced as NLT 2017 Best Delegate. After the farewell party, six of AMSA-UI delegates including Armand, Filbert, Michelle (AMSA-UI Representative), Julius, Daniel and Elvira attended the last Rapat Tatap Muka (RTM) of AMSAINA until dawn. In the morning, the last day began with a social act happening in Bunderan HI during Car Free Day. After a 2-hour health campaign regarding safety in transportation, the national event ended with a small group discussion enabling us to gain insights of other AMSA universities and their respective problems. Above all, the delegates were able to cherish new friendships with medical students throughout Indonesia, hence, fulfilling one of AMSA's main vision, Friendship.

PRICE AMSC 2017
Preparation for International Conference has come again with this year’s AMSC theme of “Accident in Medical Field – Hospital No Longer a Safe Area”; giving off a new perspective for physicians to be more aware in handling health tools, decreasing the rate of medical errors in hospital. PRICE AMSC 2017 was a free seminar which was held on Friday, 17th March, 2017 at 15.30 to 18.30 PM at Rumpun Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Indonesia, Depok. We invited all AMSA members from District 2, non-AMSA-UI students and other healthcare students (including Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing) from Universitas Indonesia. Due to the fact that sub-competition white paper has been brought up again in this AMSC, we focused on giving people
thoughts and more explanation about white paper since this paper has not been widely known in medical world. White paper is actually an authoritative report which helps readers to understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision; and it is usually giving out details and evaluation towards governmental policy. Thus, in this opportunity, to give us more insights about what topic to bring in this white paper. we invited Dr. dr. Hindra Irawan Satari, SpA(K), MTropPaed dari Departemen Ilmu Kesehatan Anak FKUIRSCM as the speaker for the seminar “Regulation of Nosocomial Infection”. This seminar is followed by an “Introduction towards White Paper” and its workshop supervised by dr. Radhian Amandito, who is also our respected AMSA alumni.
E-Club Premiere is an event held every year by AMSA-UI the primary goal of which is to improve the fluency of AMSA-UI and other IKM FKUI in speaking English. This year, the selected topic is "Keep Your Mind Healthy" that comprises the psychiatric aspect of medical students life, including stress, its negative and positive effect, and the means to adapt with it. Dr. Natalia Widiasih, Sp.KJ(K) was invited to share some knowledge about this topic. The event started with prayer, followed by the singing of AMSA song and an opening speech by AMSA representetative, Michelle Valeria. After the opening, Dr.
Natalia Widiasih, Sp.KJ(K) was then invited to present the materials. The materials given are also very related to the daily life of the attendees as medical students. Dr. Widiasih also shared some of her experience dealing with stress as medical students. Although having a limited ability to express emotion freely in a foreign language, the attendees were not stopped from passionately asking questions during the Question-Answer session. The event ended at 18.00. Before the event was closed, a certificate was offered to Dr. Natalia Widiasih, Sp.KJ(K) as a sign of gratitude.
