Situational Analysis
Situation: MagBea began as a company selling accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, and sunglasses with a dream of spreading the MagBea lifestyle, which translates to "Magnify Beauty" and enjoying the little pleasures life has to offer. MagBea was founded in the summer of 2021 by Fernanda Villarreal and Erika Carrizales as a result of a final project for a design course at High Point University. What began as a few bracelets have expanded into all types of jewelry, clothing, and accessories. MagBea has several indirect competitors such as local brands like Luna's Jewelry that have similar products and brand values. This has proven difficult for MagBea to increase loyal customers and expand their customer base from friends and family to a small extended valley local.
Objective: To increase sales and brand loyalty by 10% in the next 5 months. Along with a 40% increase in sales for 1 of the 7 items available on our website. As well as increase social media and community engagement.
Strategies/Tactics: Social Media Campaign:
Since MagBea consumers range from Gen Z to Millennials, the most successful form of reaching them is through social media. It is a great way to continue to target their younger audience and allows them to successfully reach their older market "millennials" through these social media platforms. Collaborate with local influencers to post pictures and videos of the MagBea brand as a whole. From their bracelet collections, apparel, and other accessories. The behind-the-scenes of getting the shipment to packaging and sending a handwritten note of appreciation to give their audience a look into the MagBea experience and what they stand for. Audience/ Consumer
The average consumer of Shop Magbea are teens from the ages of 11-25. Gen Z'ers typically have strong brand loyalty because they prefer how the brand makes them feel regardless of price. This is why Shop Magbea prioritizes aesthetic and creative social media campaigns; specifically TikTok and Instagram reels.
The primary target is the Gen Z trendsetters and pioneers of the Rio Grande Valley, who understand that with MagBea they are getting more than accessories, they are buying into the Magbea Lifestyle "Magnify Beauty". Shop Magbea's audience is young and price-conscious, they tend to only buy one item at a time (as they are still students) and are highly sensitive to the latest fashion trends, who may come from diverse backgrounds. The secondary target audience is women between the ages of 28-40; also known as millennials. This target audience is more likely to invest in multiple products at one time. They tend to research products before purchasing and are easily influenced by celebrities and influencers. They tend to prefer comfort over aesthetics and will not hesitate to leave a negative review if they've had a negative experience with the brand.
This is important to better understand how to successfully target both "Millennials" and Gen. Z. Although Gen Z'ers and Millennials are close in age, they have different views and consumer habits which makes it a challenge for any company wanting to attract all types of customers. That's what makes Shop Magbea worth the purchase, it not only meets their needs but creates an experience they'll enjoy.
Calendar: The MagBea media plan will have a timeline of 5 months. Beginning in September 2022 and ending in January 2023. This allows for an active media presence during Fall and Winter. We chose these months specifically because of the holidays and the opportunities that come with buying gifts for your friends and family.
Budget: The five-month social media campaign will have a budget of $4,000.
Allocated towards hiring two local influencers with a large following on social media totaling $2,000. $1,000 per influencer. The rest of the $2,000 will be allocated to sponsored ads on Instagram and Facebook. $1,000 directly for Instagram and the other $1,000 for Facebook. $200 per month on both platforms on placed and sponsored ads.
Evaluation
The Campaign will be successful if there is an increase in sales and brand loyalty by a minimum of 8% in the next 5 months. Along with a 35% increase in sales for 1 of the 7 items available on our website. As well as an increase in social media and community engagement. The Instagram account is currently at 1.5K followers and in five months we want to reach a minimum of 10K followers. As well as grow our TikTok presence and following. Lastly, we want an increase in the subscriptions to our website and newsletter, for updates and inspirational content for our users to consider this campaign successful.

Shop Magbea launches it's first dedicated Valley Website
McAllen, Tx. – Shop Magbea is a style brand driven by Latin entrepreneurs with a passion for unveiling the true beauty within. "Our mission is to inspire purpose through adorning our daily essence."
Shop Magbea has decided to launch its first-ever dedicated Valley website. Although its U.S edition has an established site for all customers, the Valley-targeted website will include a diverse range of products exclusive to the Rio Grande Valley.
"The inspiration behind a Valley-targeted website comes from the devotion of the majority of our customers, and our desire to provide them with a unique experience at Shop Magbea". The website is set to launch on September 22nd the first day of fall, along with it a social media campaign advertising the new website.
The Valley website will consist of 12 new exclusive products such as jewelry and accessories for the fall and winter collections. To access the new products, you must be subscribed through email which will also provide discount codes and special rewards.

Position Paper
The rise of small businesses that provide jewelry and accessories has made it easy to purchase trendy and affordable pieces. However, most of the time the tradeoff for the price is quality. If you experience itchiness, swelling, redness, or a blue/green residue it is most likely because you are having an allergic reaction to the material of the product. Most of these products are made with cheap nickel, copper, and brass.
At Shop Magbea we strongly suggest you stay as far away as possible from jewelry that is not hypoallergenic and tarnish-free. These types of jewelry can cause unwanted infections and rashes and leave a discoloration of the cheap material on your skin. They tend to last very little and will tarnish over time with a mixture of water and oxygen.
Many vendors claim to have pure long-lasting brass or gold jewelry; however, if it does not exclusively state that it is hypoallergenic or tarnish-free, we recommend you look elsewhere. In cases like these, Fernanda Villarreal, and Erika Carrizales the founders of Shop Magbea believe it is worth investing more money into a product that will last you a long time and look as beautiful as it was intended.
Luckily enough, all of Shop Magbea’s jewelry pieces are hypoallergenic and tarnish-free. We believe in providing our customers with the best quality products while keeping our prices affordable. There's nothing more annoying than wearing something so beautiful and having to take it off because it bothers you or stains. Shop Magbea suggests you avoid all nonhypoallergenic and non-tarnish-free jewelry to avoid complications and invest a little more of your time and money on the products that'll make the purchase worth it.
Feature Story
It is the beginning of a new era for Shop Magbea. Starting this fall, they will have their first-ever physical presence in the Rio Grande Valley. Shop Magbea began as an online store for jewelry and accessories, and this September they will be partnering with Shop112 at their local pop-up shop.
"We are extremely excited and thankful for this opportunity. As an up-and-coming business, being able to collaborate with such an influential brand puts Shop Magbea on people's radars." This collaboration will be a two-month trial run with Shop 112 where they will ultimately decide on a more permanent solution or simply a trial run. Shop Magbea is expectant that this partnership will benefit both brands and provide new customers and increase sales along with brand awareness. Shop Magbea has never had a physical presence because it comes with a new set of factors that the company was not ready to take on. Being able to provide multiple sizes and a larger variety of products was something Shop Magbea finally can provide after being open for nearly a year. Shop Magbea has significantly grown, and the best is yet to come.
