Advance booking is essential for all courses and classes. Concessionary prices will apply to anyone who is registered as disabled, those who are 60 years old and over, those in receipt of unemployment benefit and students. Any carer accompanying a person with a disability will be admitted free of charge. Enrolment will not be refunded other than for a medically certified illness or at the Manager’s discretion. In the unfortunate event of the course or class being cancelled by the Council, participants will be refunded in full. Join experienced jewellery maker Diane Lyness and design and make your very own unique pair of silver stacking rings to give as a gift or keep for yourself! You will learn the basic skills of silver jewellery making including piercing, soldering, rolling and polishing. No previous experience is required and all materials are provided. Just bring an apron!
In this workshop you will be introduced to the enormously satisfying and versatile craft of needle felting and be guided through how to sculpt a form from core wool using the barbed felting needles, and techniques to add colour and finer details using a wide variety of coloured merino and other wools. In the afternoon we will learn how to create a 2D picture, using felting needles to apply coloured wool to fabric – please bring an image to work from.

You may have noticed that succulent plants are very much on trend at the moment, this is not surprising as they make great indoor plants, needing very little care and they are so easy to propagate. In this workshop you will make a little indoor garden, layering up your ingredients to insure your plants stay happy. These make lovely gifts. All materials (including container) will be provided.
