May McFettridge stars in this hilarious comedy about the known and the unknown by a woman who knew nothing in the first place. May was a woman from the Glens of Gormley with big ideas. She wanted to make contact with her dead sister to fulfil a promise made years ago on the top of the Cave Hill.

Regardless of the feelings of her two daughters Audrey and Gemma, she enlisted the help of Mr Proudfoot, a part time medium from Ahoghill. Their combined dabblings in the spirit world produced a chain of hilarious events, unlocked hidden powers and family secrets and ensured that no one escaped the ‘ghosts of the past’. May McFettridge (John Linehan) brings to the part all the warmth, comedy and feeling for which she is famous. Mrs Cameron (Olivia Nash) is the perfect comedy foil to May’s antics in this fun filled night out.

Mr Shakespeare: An Incomplete Work

Wed 10 May

Tickets: £14 / Schools £10

Time: 7.45pm

Northern Ireland playwright Owen McCafferty brings us a story of friendship between two boys growing up in Belfast - a friendship that at first is immune to the sectarian violence taking place around them, but which nonetheless is ultimately destroyed by it.

Set during the summer of 1970, Mojo and his mate Mickybo are two nine-yearold boys from opposing sides of the sectarian divide. They are ‘thick as two small thieves’, playing headers, being mouthy, building huts, and spitting from cinema balconies. Hilariously funny and brilliantly devastating in equal measure, this two-hander sees a fantastic cast slip in and out of roles and imaginary worlds in a way that will leave you spellbound. Directed by Lisa May.

It’s 1606. William Shakespeare is isolated in his rooms to avoid contagion by the plague. A suspicious King shaken by the recent gun-powder plot, sees mutineers everywhere. Meanwhile, Mister Shakespeare is trying to cope.

Actors shout for new roles; his brother whines for help; his wife wants her marriage back; his lover wants...love. Ghostly voices to endure, and those incessant church bells. Despite the clamour, he is inspired to write at least three of the masterpieces we know today, King Lear, Antony and Cleopatra and Macbeth. This new play explores Shakespeare The Man, The Father, The Actor, and The Entrepreneur. A playwright who is ambitious but troubled, trying to make sense from the chaos around him - creating in confinement.

It is where traditional Ulster-Scots meets Irish, Scottish, English, and Old-Time Appalachian - before the Muse transcends and takes us to another zone. It is where flute, fiddle, bagpipes, accordion, harp and traditional dance meet rock guitar and Lambeg drum. Music, song, dance, storytelling and history all in the one show. Mojo Mickybo

Tues 16 May

Tickets: £12

Time: 7.45pm

Recommended Age: 14yrs+ Show contains strong language.

Northern Ireland playwright Owen McCafferty brings us a story of friendship between two boys growing up in Belfast - a friendship that at first is immune to the sectarian violence taking place around them, but which nonetheless is ultimately destroyed by it. Set during the summer of 1970, Mojo and his mate Mickybo are two nine-year-old boys from opposing sides of the sectarian divide.

Stray Gaiters

Fri 30 June

Tickets: £12

Time: 7.30pm

Antrim Town’s very own Adam Mogey brings his stand-up comedy show Tic-Talk to The Old Courthouse. What a year 2022 was for the stand-up. He’s been performing in some of the best comedy clubs in the country, supported some of the top acts on the local circuit including Paddy McDonnell and now has numerous sold-out shows under his belt. This young comic is certainly making a name for himself.

From dating mishaps not for the faint-hearted, fatherhood and, of course, his battles with Tourettes Syndrome, Adam paints quite the picture as he takes you on an rollercoaster journey which is guaranteed to have you laughing along.

It is now more than fifty years since Neil Young first appeared on the scene, astounding everyone with his remarkable song-writing and soulful singing. Stray Gaiters - who take their name from the pick-up band of session players, put together for the recording of “Harvest” - will guide you through Mr Young’s extensive and varied catalogue of wonderful songs, with respect and passion.

You’ll dance beneath a harvest moon; you’ll be blown away by a hurricane at this intimate cabaret-style gig at one of Antrim’s most historic venues.
