Andover Central Park is located in the heart of Andover at 1607 E Central and filled with things to do from business to recreation. This 80 acre park features a gorgeous, stocked fishing lake, Lake George, that is ADA accessible and stocked by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. You will also find picnic shelters and a gazebo. The Conference Cabin on the property could be ideal for that meeting to get away from the confines of the office.

Home of Recreation Sports and activities, the 13th Street Park provides ball diamonds with bleachers, multipurpose fields for t-ball and soccer There is even a concession stand with restrooms. You and your family can stroll on the Red Bud Trail, then enjoy a nice picnic in the shelter or in the picnic area. This park also boasts the Andover Community Center for any indoor activities.
A vital part of many communities would be their greenspace and Andover has a great selection. Whether you want to enjoy recreation or simply enjoy the great outdoors with your family, Andover has a spot just for you.
Central Park is home to an 18 hole disc golf course that winds through trees and throughout Central Park. With challenging shots over the water and around obstacles, the course hosts several tournaments every year. The Capitol Federal Amphitheater®, a 1,900 square foot outdoor venue, is the parks' most most rockin' feature. At capacity it can seat 10,000 people.

The Redbud Trail is now about 6 miles long in the Andover community area and currently connects into Wichita, then hopefully extending into Augusta. The long term goal is it will grow to 20 miles.
The organization creates a unified and responsive environment so they can effectively develop and improve the Redbud Trail This group allows volunteers to demonstrate dedication to this project This commitment is shown through promoting, sponsoring, and collaborating with other organizations or independently to lead activities such as educational efforts, to encourage safe and active biking, running, and walking on the trail.

For over 50 years, Greater Andover Days has celebrated our great community in Andover We cannot wait to come together to celebrate all the community has done over the last several months at the Greater Andover Days this fall with the theme, “Stand with Andover”

Each year, we celebrate fall with a three day festival of events including a parade, KidFest, craft and business expo, golf and disc golf tournament, car show, concert and fireworks show, plus several other fun activities throughout the city.
Greater Andover Days continues to grow each year, just as Andover continues to grow into a vibrant community each year. Our fun fall activities also bring in families and travelers from across the Wichita region to enjoy the amenities our town has to offer.
The Andover Municipal Golf Course is a public nine-hole, par 33 course with six par 4s and three par 3s. The course was established in 1988. It is a mature course for all skill levels. Located right off of Highway 54 with easy access to the course.
There are also two private golf clubs in Andover and are only available through membership. The Terradyne Country Club has many events for men, women and the entire family. This 18-Hole, champion caliber course has a 3 hole practice course and a 320 yard driving range. There is a full service restaurant called "The Greens" and a fully stocked pro shop (both are open to the public).
There is no shortage of options in the Andover community when it comes to golf.
The Flinthills National Golf Club is the second private course in Andover. This course has hosted several professional golf tournaments and in 2005 they were ranked in the top 50 greatest courses list in Golf Digest In 2006, Flinthills National was ranked number 10 for private golf retreat

On the second Thursday of December, Andover Central Park and surrounding buildings become a winter wonderland. The evening kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony on the plaza and the arrival of Santa Claus, followed by a variety of fun events including a chili cook off, hay rack rides through a luminary lit path in the park, s’mores with Andover emergency responders, holiday themed crafts at the library, live music from Andover schools, pictures with Santa, and a spectacular light show at Capitol Federal Amphitheater®.
Andover Caring and Sharing benefits, annually, from this event through donations of new toys, staple and canned goods, as well as cash contributions from our very generous citizens. Caring & Sharing is a 501c3 organization that provides area families with assistance in various ways, including gifts for kids and food for a special holiday meal in December. The celebration offers lifelong memories for those in attendance and the families that need it most. Mark your calendar for Thursday, December 8, 2022!

In 2020, a tradition to coincide with Hometown Christmas was restarted a holiday light decorating contest. Businesses and residents in Andover can enter to win cash prizes and bragging rights over their neighbors for the best decorations Judging occurs in the first week of December, leading up to Hometown Christmas, and winners are announced during the festivities in Central Park that evening.
The facility features a number of amenities that include

Due to the April 2022 tornado all activities are being held at the East YMCA. Andover's state-of-the-art YMCA facility is the largest of the YMCAs in the greater Wichita area. In addition to promoting health and fitness, the Dr. Jim Farha Andover YMCA encourages social interaction, a sense of belonging and friendship.
