The project is placed in Grado city, a small town in the north of Italy, on the Adriatico sea. After an initial analisys about all the city, the most important beach has been examinated carefully, and it has emerged that there aren’t enough docks for boats and that there aren’t enough parking areas. Altought the beach is made to satisfy the users, it is actually too large and unfairly disused. Moreover, during the analisys, it has emerged that there aren’t enough services like restaurants and bars. “Green Tsunami” wants to solve these problems with an architectural and urbanistic solution.

It is expected to build a slab both on the disused beach areas and in the dock north areas. The slab is raised three metres on the beach to allow a big parking cover area construction. On the new slab have been positioned different types of services to allow turistic traffic both in summer and in winter period. Some services have been placed in the parking areas: for example, basketball courts haven’t the roof, so that it is possible to watch the match from the top of parking areas. These gaps are also used to air the parking areas. During winter, a part of the parking areas is transformed in a go-kart area even if in summer it can be used both for parking and events like concerts, celebrations... Making this slab is possible to solve lots of problems that are currently present. For example the new parking areas can host 1200 cars and there are also lots of new docks. Moreover this city, which is desolated during winter, can be rivitalized with the new polifunctional services.

The project is situated on the beach of Praia a mare, a small town on the Tirrenic coast in Calabria. The landscape is characterized by a mountainous orography. It has been decided to use this feature to create the design idea; the result is a cavern building, which is compact and perforated at the same time. characteristic evokes the LA GROTTA E This CAVERNA surrounding area. Small volumes have been removed from the main volume like mountains’ caverns are excavated.
The chosen functions are different on each floor: on the ground floor has been placed the spa, and on the first floor there is a restaurant; a parking area is located on the underground. The chosen upholstery is made of grey local stone.

UniversitĂ degli studi di Trieste Full work visible at: https://issuu.com/andrea.asti/ docs/book_completo-compressed The building is placed in Gorizia, in the oldest street of the city. The thesis is divided in four main parts. Initially, I have done the metric survey of the whole building. After that, it has been made an analysis about the history, the contest and services, the structure and materials of the building. Then it has been made the project for the requalification, which was the result of differents projectual theories. It has been decided to insert several functions, such as: restaurant, bistrot, offices and apartments. The third part of the thesis has been made with detailed studies of every function. During the design process it has been tried to reuse the antique furnitures that were already in the building, like antique majolica stoves. At the end of the work it has been made a detailed study of the main facade, with specific care about the conservation interventions. In this page it has been depicted only the second floor. +5.13

The project is placed in the north of Turin, near Dora river. It has been decided to design a new school area with a kindergarten, a university at the second and third floors and student houses at the last floor. At the ground floor has been placed a restaurant and a bar. All of the building is thought to be economically, environmentally and energetically sustainable; the building works only with renewable energy. This new area must overwhelm the currently situation of decline with cultur, beauty, vitality and attraction for this new reinvigorated area.

LIFE IN A URBAN BLOCK
Community Block
Green Block The inspired model is For village in Sudan, in which every citizen has a private life but he can also meet the other citizens and share any place and activity. This situation allows people to have both private and common life. Everybody can choose.
Laboratorio di progettazione Urbanistica Arch. Angelo Sampieri Politecnico di Torino Relation visible at: https://issuu.com/andrea. asti/docs/life_in_an_unban_ block
The studied area is situated in the south of Torino near the FIAT factory; this suburb area was built by the Fiat that wanted to provide a house for each of its worker. At the moment, lots of these buildings are in an abandoned situation. Three blocks have been examinated and every block presents different types of buildings; the aim of the project is to improve the quality of life, the quality of space and revitalise the present situation. The first block was built with residential court building (Community Block), the second one was built with apartments buildings and small houses (Green Block), and the third was built with apartments buildings and small factories (Energy Block). For every block has been made an initial analysis and, basing on the problems and features, it has been decided the best strategy, both for the building part and the courtyard part. The inspiration of this block is Feldheim’s neighborhood at the north of Berlin. This area has 130 citizens, and it is the first neighboorhood in Europe that doesn’t depend on public energy.

building in the center of carmagnola Laboratorio di compatibilità e sostenibilità del restauro architettonico Arch. Cesare Romeo Politecnico di Torino
The analyzed building is placed in Carmagnola, a small town at the south of Turin. It has been built around the XIII century, and many events influenced its conservation. In 1973 it has been restructured and it is currently used for culinary events. The project wants to redevelop the building and the surrounding area, which is now used for car parks. The building has been divided in three parts, a restaurant, an area for events and a part for cookery courses. These functions have been chosen because this territory has lots of tipical gastronomic products, so that these and the building can both be reintroduced. The outdoor area has been substituted with a square. The square’s project proposes a green area and a part with water, in the same position of a river that was there in 1950. The new project is inserted in the ancient building even if it doesn’t undermine it, since it can be removed easily.

Up & Up is a project placed in a social housing area in the north of Turin; the aim of the project is to increase the number of hosts and to improve the quality of the area. In order to revitalize and to increase the number of the inhabitants, two new floors have been put on the top of the building. The new apartments are made with a wood structure, so that it is easy and fast to assemble, and it does not weight on the underlying existing structure. In order to improve the quality of the existing building the structure has been insulated, and it has been covered by an upholstery made of grey metal panels. The two added floors are environmentally and energetically sustainable; they work only with renewable energy. It has been though to insert some volumes on the north and south facades to make a new design elevation. This intervention is though to be used on all of the six buildings in this social housing area.

360° VIEW relates with the pre-existing natural elements, that is, the river, lake, trees and road. A’
360° VIEW is an architectural project whose aim is to provide a new accommodation and visitor centre at the Kruger National Park. In addition, the objective is to create a logistical centre for volunteers who are interested in research into South African wildlife and its protection and preservation. The volunteers will be able to learn and comprehend the features of fauna and flora, thanks to the presence of the natural elements provided by the chosen site. The selected location of 360° VIEW is in the south east of the Kruger National Park Area. This allows the building complex both to relate with the Lower Sabie River and with the small lake in front of it. It is cleverly inserted in the system of accesses to the Park; the project is served by the Skukuza - Lower Sabie Road and is 30 km from the Crocodile Bridge Gate.
Functions and facilities have been divided into three areas, based on their physical position: 1) Facilities tourist area 2) Wildlife area 3) Tourist accomodetion zone
