Context Many younger people nowadays choose to go on drinking holidays to party resorts and seem to over look that there are other places in the world that they can visit. Travel guides are an invaluable tool to have with you in a foreign country but most are written with a wide audience in mind. Many contain important information but too much bulk and make them heavy to carry around. Brief or Tasks Produce a brand of travel guides which can be applied across a range of different locations. For the first book, produce a guide to Uganda using all of the research gathered in summer 2013. Produce the range with the target audience of younger people to persuade them to step out of their comfort zone and travel to somewhere new or ‘alternative’.

Preparation/Research suggestions Research current travel guides for the places Consider the most important things to include in a travel guide Consider size and format to make it the most accessible for carrying in luggage while travelling
