Exhibition Proposal The proposed dates and locations of the travelling exhibition, plus a selection of the artists, designers and typographers who would be included in the exhibition. The work displayed would take the form of photographs and images displayed on the walls along side large examples of anamorphic type and installations.
As a way of exploring the topic further, the exhibition layout and works included will change and vary depending on each of the locations as it each gallery it is displayed in will be different, so each space will involve the exploration of type in different spaces. 1

Branding & Logo The logo is designed to show the distinction between both the ‘enviro’ side and the ‘type’ side whilst at the same time joining the two elements together to make it one unified concept. This simply reinforces the exploration between type and different environments. The logo can be used in either black, green, or white with a black
background. The colour scheme is designed to be kept classically black and white with minimal use of the splash of green colour to not just add a third colour to the palette, but to also reflect the subtle appearance of type within different environments. The green was chosen as it is a typical colour choice used for describing environmental imagery.

Printed Promotional Material Each exhibition in each different city will have its own set of printed promotional material, all following within the same theme. These will include the exhibition booklet which contains information about some of the featured artists and will act as a souvenir for the visitors to the exhibitions to take away, a printed ticket which allows
admission to the gallery, and a set of fliers for each of the exhibitions. The printed products each use the same stock and all have subtle black foiling over the logo and imagery, although the typographic images of the buildings used will change depending on each location.

Billboards & Exhibition Design The imagery for each location will be applied to billboards, along with the dates and locations for each exhibition, and exhibited in and around the different cities. The information is kept to a minimum and design of having the imagery of buildings from the city in which the exhibition is being held is another reference to exploring type
within the environment. The exhibition design is an exploration of how the logo could be used and applied to banners and signs to brand the exhibitions, and by keeping the promotional material simple and consistent, it would not detract from the work being exhibited.

Homepage
Website Design & Specifications The supporting website for the exhibitions is a simple design with 3 pages, where the Homepage shows imagery realting to where the exhibition is currently being held, with clickable characters in the images which pop up with information about the anatomy of type.
This brings an educational and entertaining element to the the simple design. The website uses a limited colour palate and sans serif typefaces. It is also easy to navigate and update. 5

These images show how the website will work on different screen sizes, with the scrolling design making full use of the movement of the screen on the iPad and iPhone. The iPad also shows the use of the pop up Anatomy of Type on the Homepage.
The iPhone app will be a supporting interactive product for the exhibition, allowing the user to take a photograph of their surroundings, choose a typeface, then the app will convert it into a typographic image which they can then share on social networking sites.
