Arboreto of Arco The Arboreto of Arco is a vestige of an ancient park in the villa of an archduke, created by Albert of the Habsburg dynasty in 1872, and was restructured in 1964 in the form of a botanical garden for species of trees and shrubs. This living botanical museum extends for a hectare and contains 150 vegetal species coming from every continent. The Arboreto is found in the town of Arco, in via Lomego, at the beginning of the road that leads to the hamlet of Laghel.

Marocche di Dro Biotope The area of Marocche di Dro, formed by rockfalls originating from Monte Brento and Monte Casale (right side of the valley) and from landslides from the left side, has been protected for many years as a biotope and contains a viewing path with scenic points where you can appreciate the geomorphic and naturalistic rarity of this natural oasis.
Monte Brione Biotope Riva del Garda The naturalistic interest of this ecosystem of Monte Brione is principally its flora, with an incredible number of species in a relatively small area. Varone Waterfall The Varone Waterfall is a truly rare geological find. It is a canyon that penetrates 55 metres at the entrance and at the top the depth reaches 73 metres, the waterfall measures a total of 98 metres.
Le Marmitte dei Giganti Nago These glacial ponds are formed from the melting of glacier waters that, falling down crevices caused a rockfall that slowly eroded the formation. The principal ponds are found near the panoramic trail facing the lake that connects Nago to Torbole.

Departing from via Pernone in Riva del Garda, continue until you reach the Varone Falls, where, remaining on your right, you start an easy trail passing

through the ancient towns of Ceole, Varignano and Vigne, climb slightly through the splendid olive groves that dot the Arco basin. Now you begin a brief but challenging climb that takes you to the chapel of Santa Maria di Laghel. From this point, proceed left in a landscape of woods and boulders until the decent on a technical trail, at times rather disjointed, which comes out near the Roman bridge of Ceniga. After crossing the bridge, you
meet the state road that goes to Arco between plum trees passing through the villages of San Martino and Massone. After passing Arco, you take the beautiful bike road that follows the Sarca river until you reach Linfano; cross over state road S.S. 240 and you will get to the Foci del Sarca, and from there to the “promenade� of the same name that takes you to the lakefront of Riva del Garda, completing one of the more relaxing and interesting journeys .

This trail begins in Riva del Garda in via Ardaro, continues
at San Giacomo and enter onto the provincial road S.P. 37 that connects Deva and Pranzo. At the second switchback, after the town of Pranzo, turn left for Campi going through a pretty chestnut grove. After passing through the main part of the town turn right in the direction of Malga Grassi. Just above, a good trail takes you to the archeological area of San Martino with remains of Roman dwellings. Take the paved road until the meadows surrounded by pines
and beech of Malga Pranzo, under the peaks of Pichea. Then take the trail above Malga Grassi that descends to the right of the Gamella stream until you get to the hamlet of “Parisi� and proceed on the little road that passes in front of the little chapel of San Rocco, and from there a long decent in the woods takes you to Riva del Garda passing through the town of Pinza and by the remnants of the San Giovanni church, with a view of the lake. Continuing on a
cement road up to Santa Maria Maddalena, you reach a straight forest road that climbs slightly toward the old Venetian bastions of Riva del Garda. You descend along a perfectly maintained cobblestone street with nearly a dozen narrow switchbacks to take you back to the main state road S.S. 45bis. Along this descent we recommend the maximum caution and respect for the numerous hikers that go up to the top of the bastions on foot.

Recently expanded to 18 holes, the course, not long but challenging with many traps and small well defended greens with water obstacles, has maintained all the charming characteristics that have earned the respect of Italian and foreign golfers. The warm micro climate permits year-round play.
Recently constructed, it is an 18 hole championship course and was opened in the spring of 1991. Built on a slightly rolling plain, the course is a par 71 and designed by the English studio of Cotton Penninck & Partners. It permits year round play thanks to its position on the lake that is mild in winter and comfortably breezy in the warmer months.
Gardagolf is recognized by experts as one of the best courses created in the past 15 years. On an area of 110 hectares of land and designed by the English architects Cotton, Penninck Steel & Partners, Gardagolf comprises a network of 27 holes including Rocca di Manerba, Castello di Soiano and the hills of Valtenesi with panoramic points of awe-inspiring beauty.
The two courses here were designed in different ways with the intention to challenge beginners as well as professionals. Arzaga with 18 holes, par 72, was designed by Jack Nicklaus. Arzaga II, 9 holes, par 36, was designed by Gary Player. The Arzaga Golf Academy is the first teaching and learning centre of the European PGA in Italy. The extraordinarily mild climate allows year round play.

The regulation course has 18 holes and is constructed on a rolling plain of 800,000 square meters modelled perfectly. Five lakes, of which one is natural, round out the obstacles.
A splendid club house is your first view onto a course of the first nine holes that are very short but rendered difficult due to the narrow fairways , and nine successive large but also very long: two different styles and exactly for this reason a stimulating, challenging and enjoyable course.
In a little corner of paradise between Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione, is a 27 hole championship course and 9 hole executive that, together with the club house, encompasses the original XI century foundation of the abbey of San Vigilio. The Civic Museum of Riva del Garda, found in one of the most interesting buildings of the city, la Rocca, presents collections that range from an archaeological collection with artefacts from the nearby palafitte of Ledro, to a section dedicated to nature, the Pinacoteca with works by the Riva artist Giuseppe Craffonara to material on the history of Riva at the turn of the last century. The orienteering competition for couples in stages on mountain bike winds its way over nearly 600 km: one of the longest and most challenging in the world (nearly 19,000 metres, total gradient), with an itinerary that passes through the most overly landscapes of Tyrol, Switzerland , Alto Adige and Trentino culminating on the northern banks of Lake Garda.

Typical products of Garda Trentino Extra virgin D.O.P. olive oil of Lake Garda The production of extra virgin D.O.P. olive oil of Lake Garda is the fruit of extensive hillside terracing of numerous types of olives such as Casaliva, Favarol, Raza and Rossanel, local varieties that, along with others that are more profuse, thrive in this corner of the Mediterranean that produce a high quality oil with a green/gold colour and a delicate aroma with notes of almond and a light and fruity taste. There is no other lace in the world that produces oil at this latitude: also for this reason the European Community awarded it the denomination D.O.P.
