Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? (Maximum 100 words) According to Le Corbusier, pictorial space is that “which cannot be entered or circulated through, it is irremediably space viewed from a distance, and is therefore eternally resigned to frontality.” In other words, the pictorial space is a actural image, displayed on the front view plan, which means that people randomly move around the object or architecture and take a view in front of it from a distance. The geometrc form of the object is always differet while standing in differet positions, thus, the pictorial space is changeable according to the view angel. If the pictorial space does not show the 3D view of an object, Le Corbusier will not use black to show depth either.
Question 2: The Flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting’s are attributable to two properties. What are they? And what are these pitted against?(Maximum 100 words) The flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting’s are shown as monochromatic shapes in different objects and color(lack of black to show shadows and levels). It seems that Corbusier use 2D shapes a lot, which may confused with the surrounding objects or backgrounds and hide the behinding terms. Monochromatric shapes against the contour that defines the objects to which they belong. Corbusier “denies himself use black” to define shadows and different levels.

1ST MARIO’S WORLD
Draw the background layer first(the drawing order is from back to front) and than add another layer to draw the front plan(the drawing order is from front to the back)

COMBINED MARIO’S WORLD
Add the two layers together and add details(river, the second layer and characters). Using different fineline pens to draw lines, which are supposed to exist in the final parts.

Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection? (Maximum 100 words) Perspective space is that a space created based on the exsiting object’s visible lines and vanishing points, which already exist but may hide behind something. The perspective view changes according to the angle of view point and the different frontality of pictoral space has different measurements of perspective space. Projection not only shows the outline of and object but also shows the inside construction of it, which does not yet exist. An objects can be created based on the axonometric projection objects.
Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? (Maximum 100 words) Axonometric projection first use in military areas because of its measurable visualization nature. Using axonometric drawings are able to create an actrual objects. During 19th centery, the axonometric projection has been wildly used in architecture and similar drawings by architects or artists.

ILLUSTRATED MARIO’S NEW WORLD
The final Mario world not only shows the theme of Mario game but also regard as a sweet candy world. The theme of this Mario world is’ Candyland’, which shown as three main parts. At first, the green space is orange filled hard candy. There is a cutted part in the front corner and a break part behind the candy mountains, where orange jams flow down. Second, those orange mountains contains many suger grains, which shown as their surface and the cutted corner. Finally, the brown lands are chocolates and the second level even bite by someone. In addition, the second level of this Mario World is a hidden world of pipes. I believe that all of those pipes are portails of other worlds or moving elements, like river and magma

The first two layers of the basic Mario world Use illustrator to edit and create the same mario world with different color and themes. Finally, choose the best one to edit and complete it.
The final layer is created with completed details and characters as well as drawing by fineline pens
