president's goodbye
KRISTIN HONG PRESIDENT Dear Hazen Key Club, Wowowow I can’t believe retirement is finally here. First off, I want to thank my amazing board and advisor for putting up with my stupid self this term and making this year one of the best – from the memes to tea spillings to KBBQ, the energy you guys brought to the club continues to be my #1 motivator. Through everything our club went through in the past year, you guys were the ones I could rely on to keep myself sane and I am truly grateful to have had y’all along with me during this term And of course, you all. The members. I cannot thank you enough for being absolutely amazing and making Hazen Key Club one of the best clubs in the PNW. You guys are the reason I do what I do, as serving you all during this past year has shown me that there is truly no greater privilege than the privilege to serve and lead. A thousand years ago when I first joined Key Club, I had absolutely no intentions of being anywhere near where I am today. Think of the most quiet, reserved, shy person you know, and multiply that times 100 – that was me freshman year, thinking I could get away with doing the bare minimum. That’s right, I joined Key Club…. for college :0.
Since then, however, I’ve only been blessed with the best experiences and the best people, all of which I owe to taking that first step so many years ago to join this wonderful club. As you all know, Key Club always gives you more than what you seek of it, but it is up to you to give it the opportunity to change your life. There is so much that I could say about my own Key Club experience, but instead I will just encourage you guys to create your own unique stories. Take that first step! Who knows, you might mess around and end up being president
In love and serivce,
Kristin Hong
editor's letter
BEN BUNYATIPANON BULLETIN EDITOR Happy last newsletter friends, It's really been a crazy ride and I've learned so much over the course of this term. Each board member has brought so much love, experiences and knowledge into my life. Like, I never though I could get roasted that much before. To be honest, I was really scared of everyone on the board at the beginning because they were all super close friends and I was just this random guy, but they ended up welcoming me with open arms and I'm just :'''''')). From our highest highs to our lowest lows, I'll always know that we'll have each other's backs no matter what. Thank you for being some of the greatest people that I've ever been forced to spend time with LOL. But for real, I love you guys to death. Next, I want to thank my publications committee for being able to put up with me being such a mess.
Like, for real you guys know that I'm such a mess, we literally finished the scrapbook the day before DCON. Thank you so much for putting with me panicking and not knowing what to do all the time. I love y'all <3. Lastly, thank you to this amazing club for making this such a great year for me and thank you for electing me to be your president for the next service year, I'm so excited to bring new concepts and fun activities to our club and I hope you guys are excited for them too! In love and serivce,
Ben Bunyatipanon
vice president's goodbye
VY NGUYEN VICE PRESIDENT Hey Key-uties! I can’t believe it’s already that time of year. I remember when I was only a freshman when I first joined key club and how scared I was when I met everyone. I was so introverted and barely spoke two words (ask Kristin). But, after meeting so many inspiring Key Clubbers from different backgrounds, I was able to open myself up more and I felt as if I wasn’t alone.
Because of Key Club, I made countless memories and bonds that I would never trade anything else for. As your past Treasurer and Vice President, I truly wish that you all have the most special Key Club experience. In love and serivce,
Vy Nguyen
secretary's goodbye
TRINITY YANG SECRETARY H4 years ago, I was that one awkward freshman who never got out of her shell and was always quiet. I sat in the back of the lecture hall, only talked to my friends, and pretty much had a nervous breakdown anytime I had to have a one-on-one conversation with a stranger in real life. But Key Club changed that for me. You guys changed that for me! The officers reached out to me, encouraging me to be the leader I never knew I could be. The club members became my friends, giving me a reason to finally find my voice. The board became my second family, teaching me.... yeah I don't know what they taught me (oop!) Of course, however amazing it was, my experience was far from perfect. There were a ton of setbacks and failures.
If you stay in key club, you guys will definitely have that too. Sometimes you'll work with volunteer events that really suck and sometimes it'll feel like what you're doing doesn't make a difference, but I promise it's worth it in the end. I really wouldn't have it any other way. I really encourage all of you to find your own Key Club experience and be a servant leader in your own communities. Sis cannot stress enough how important and fulfilling it is to get involved and put yourself out there!! Anyways, I couldn't be prouder to call you guys my club!! Thanks for an amazing year. Thanks for an amazing Key Club experience. I love you!!
In love and serivce,
Trinity Yang

ELLEN HUYNH
E
llen has recently become one of Hazen Key Club's key players! She has become extremely active and is a great Key Clubber to be around! Ellen's contributions to the publications committee have made her one of, if not the most essential member of the committee. She stayed after school with me until 9 PM to finish the scrapbook and I am not able to tell you how helpful she has been.
Nadia is not only an amazing key clubber but she is also a great student, being able to balance her key club duties with robotics and her school work. Ellen attends Key Club events every oppurtunity she has, and has made the officers so impressed with her commitment to this club Thanks for being an amazing Dragon of the month Ellen! Hopefully we'll win the scrapbook contest, and even if we don't I'm so proud of the work you've done on it.

icky brings a light to key club that no one else can, he's able to get things done while still being friendly and kind to members which is something I truly admire. Ricky has been an amazing treasurer for the club and is a great officer as well. He goes out of her way to be involved in Key Clubber and is a great example of what a Key Clubber should be!
Ricky has never gotten dragon of the month before surprisingly, but he deserves it so much. Ricky has brought his all to this club for 4 years, being so committed and doing so much but never being recognized fo rit. I could never thank you for how much you've done for this club, thank you for being an amazing dragon of the month Ricky!

KRISTIN HONG
K
ristin, probably the person who's done the most for this club in all of hazen history. Kristin is who I look up to to be a good president.
She was there with me when we both were running for our first positions. She won but unfortunely I didn't (lol).
Kristin has committed and sacrificed so much for this club to suceed and she's done such a great job.
She encouraged me to run again for editor, even when I didn't want to, and she probably is a big reason to why I'm where I'm at today filling in her spot as president.
Kristin was one of the first friends I made in Key Club and she welcomed me into the club with open arms before she was even an officer at all.
Thank you Kristin, for what you've done for the club and what you've done for me. You've earned your place as Dragon of the Year.
