OFFICER'S MESSAGE

EDITOR'S LETTER LAUREN HUYNH Heyo happy February key clubbers! I MISS YOU GUYS, it's been a long time since I've been at weekly meetings but I promise I'm still dedicated to key club. In case you were wondering, I have been out because I recently had surgery for

PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS BEN BUNYATIPANON Hey Key clubbers! Only one more month until DCON! I hope everyone is taking good care of themselves and remember that is always okay to take a step back in your life to breathe and relax. With everything going on at school and life in general, things can

my ACL and meniscus injury. Being on crutches is no fun and makes things 10x more complicated. But fortunately, I will be able to walk and drive soon! On a side note, March is just around the corner and that means my term is coming close to an end. I am grateful for all of the opportunities this position has given me and am excited to end on a high note and celebrate this service year at DCON. I know you guys will be in good hands with the upcoming board. Get ready for a BOMB last newsletter next month from your editor;) In love and service, Lauren Huynh <3

get very stressful and you can feel overwhelmed. Something may seem like a big deal today but you probably won’t remember it in 20 years, so live your life and be happy! Life is so short so we should cherish all of the time that we have together. I love all of you and I hope you all know that if you ever need someone to talk to I’ll be there! It’s been quite the journey, even with my term ending soon, I hope that my influence on your lives doesn’t end and that I can continue to be a pillar you can lean on throughout your hardest times. In love and service, Ben Bunyatipanon

DRAGON OF THE MONTH

GIGI

Every month we choose a member to recognize. Our dragon of the month is Gigi! We asked her about her key club experience and this was her response: What is your fav part about being in service committee? I have opportunity to make friends and serve my community. I can improve essential skills and I’m more confident in myself. Why did you join KC? I believe Key Club is a great place for me to develop myself. I just want to do something fun and make meaningful memories. Fav key club memory? The first meeting of service committee; I met many nice amazing people and I felt belonging for the first time in my high school years.

COMMITTEE UPDATES PUBLICATIONS In the publications committee we are currently working on getting the key club scrapbook done before DCON 2020. The scrapbook is basically a wrap-up on everything we did this year in key club. Being on this committee this year has been very educational for me because I learned how to make graphics and advertise for key club. Also how to work well with others to get things done. -Shelby Toy (9)

OUTREACH The outreach committee is currently working on a promotional video and key club recruitment video. We are planing out the video and writing scripts. Will we soon be recruiting actors for the video so please let us know if you're interested! We are excited to start on this new big project as a team. We are also planning to make the video funny so that it is enjoyable to watch. -Outreach Committee

COMMITTEE UPDATES SERVICE My experience in the service committee honestly couldn’t have been better! Everyone is just so nice and committed to giving back to others and appreciating one another. One of my favorite projects would be making mugs to give to the janitors because it was really fun to make and I think that we don’t show enough appreciation to their work because without them, Hazen wouldn’t be as clean. Throughout my experiences in the service committee, I have learned that giving back to others isn’t as easy as you think it is. It involves a lot of hard work, time, passion, and thought into what your making. -Roy Vuong (9)

FUNDRAISING The Fundraising committee has been working hard on brainstorming ideas for fundraisers as well as fundraising and so far with the Jamba Juice fundraiser we have made close to $900! And we have been having MOD pizza fundraisers every weekend this past month and today was our last fundraiser. -Katilyn Lucas (9)
