What is Key Club? Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a studentled organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Key Club has approximately 260,000 members in approximately 5,000 clubs. Key Club is represented in 31 countries .
Hazen High School belongs to the Division 32 of the Pacific Northwest Key Club District. The division 32 mascot is Toasty the Dragon representing our colors which is red and black.
Why you should join Key Club “People should join key club is because they should learn to have the experience to volunteer and help their community to serve others and learn new skills that they never knew they have” -Kenny Nguyen
“I think a lot of clubs will get you to a place of being your social skills and if on top of that, you like to become social through volunteer opportunities, then Key Club will provide that experience for you.” -Carmen Pan
“Just volunteering at different places let's you know that you're actually doing something with your life” -Diego Betancourt
Hello from your President: Hi Key Clubbers, The sunshine is finally out and we are nearing the end of the school year. The start of summer break does not mean the end of service though! I would like all of you to continue your passion even when school is not in session. Take these few months off to serve your communities and bring smiles all around. I wish all the seniors graduating this year all the best in what they choose to pursue. I hope that Key Club was an enriching experience for all of you guys, and I want you to know that our club will always be a family that you can come back to! Even if you are all going your separate paths, I know that we will still share the same Key Club values and enjoy bringing service to those in need. Wherever your path takes you, continue to strive and build those key connections. On another note, special thanks to everyone who helped support our fundraiser for the club and raise money for the Eliminate Project by purchasing merchandise. Have a fun-filled summer everyone! In Love and Service, Jacquelin Huang
Greetings from the Editor: Hey Key Clubbers, Currently writing this to you guys at 12 am thanks to a certain LTG (Kim), but I would like to thank all the seniors for making this an amazing year. I would like to thank our retiring senior officers Cindy and Constance for always being there for us and being overall amazing people. To those who are moving onto the next page in their life, thank you sincerely for being there and serving your community the best you can. You guys, everyone this year represents our Key Club wonderfully and I know you guys would be role models to our next year key clubbers. As our last meeting came to a close, it’s not the end of Hazen Key Club meetings. Believe it or not, we have summer meetings! They will be announced soon! And as this school year comes to a close, to everyone, this isn’t good bye… it’s see you later .
In Love and Service, Andy Ly
