Greetings from the editor
Hey Key Clubbers! Happy 2016! A new year, a new generation of Key Clubbers It’s almost the time for the district convention, which means sadly this is the second to last of my newsletters. But it’s alright because after DCON your brand new officers will be taking charge and leading the Key Club meeting effective immediately March 21st. For some of us this is the last chapter of Key Club. For many of us, this is just the beginning. Hazen is one of the biggest clubs in the division and it’s all thanks to everyone that paid their dues and attend the meetings . Hazen Key Club of 2015-2016 is one of the most participating clubs that I’ve seen in the years I’ve been in Key Club and I couldn’t have been more proud. As DCON time rolls around, I usually would highly recommend that members attend because it is truly life changing. If you aren’t able to attend this year, there’s always a next time. If there is a financial need, just know Key Club/Kiwanis is one big happy family. If you ever need help we’ll be there. Thank you for reading and I’ll see you guys next month with my final newsletter! In Love and Service, Andy Ly Bulletin Editor
Those who are deciding on whether to go to DCON next year If you're considering District Convention, but are still unsure, weigh the advantages and disadvantages. Going to DCON created new friendships, teaches you more than you'll ever know about Key Club, helps you grow as a leader, and of course, is a lot of fun! The disadvantages, you ask? You'll miss potentially one of the best weekends of your High School career. The choice is yours. Those who decide on attending, I'll see you in March! Tyler Bosser Pacific Northwest District Governor DCON is an event that truly changes a person's view on the world. This event is what pushed me to run for higher office during my time in Key Club. If you are having doubts about going because it is something new to you, this is the best time and the best place to step out of your comfort zone and right into the arms of over 2000 loving Key Clubbers from across the Pacific Northwest. The members of our district are some of the most caring and kind people I have ever met, and the memories made at our District Convention will undoubtedly become highlights of your high school career, and maybe even turning points in your lifetime. I cannot recommend any event more than District Convention. Ryan Miura Pacific Northwest Convention Chair
