Greetings from the Editor HEYO once again, key-uties! I hope April was a decent month for you all. April is already over and May, the testing season, has taken over! Good luck to everyone procrastinating with the AP studying and good luck on your exams. Take the W on those tests! I know that the spring sports season is finally coming to an end, so I would like to thank all those who managed to still attend weekly Key Club meetings nonetheless. It’s a struggle to keep up attendance and devote time to service when you’re so busy with sports and it shows great dedication! Stay passionate and dedicated, keep serving, and I’ll see you in the next one. P.S. This month’s newsletter is much shorter than the last to spare your eyes, enjoy! In love and service,

Kira Kusumi

Greetings from the President Hi Key Clubbers! The new term seems to no longer be new and now comes testing season (to you freshman, cherish this moment dearly). With all the AP tests going on and the SBAC coming up we should not forget what has been done this past month. We have elected our new VicePresident Kevin Le, watched our LTG Ashley hold her first DCM (which I heard was very successful and til), and not to forget to mention that you guys have been wonderful with attendance, especially during spring sports season! Adding on, teacher appreciation week had recently passed and although it’s no longer in session, and not all of them are teachers, I encourage all of you to go to our wonderful advisors Ms. Ryan, Vanessa, or Marge and just say thank you for all they have done. With all the ups and downs we have had throughout the year, they have always been there for us and had always kept us going as a board as well as a club. (If you guys are reading this you are some kool kats.) I cannot wait to show you guys what we have in store for the time to come. In the meantime, I hope that all your Key Club spirits are still ignited and that your passion for service is ever burning. Volunteer in whatever you find interesting and even those that may not appeal to you. You never know who you’ll meet, what you’ll do, or what interests may be sparked. In Love and Service,

Ashley Vo

Say “Hello to your new Vice President! Hello fellow Key Clubbers, My name is Kevin Le and I'm going to be your Vice President for the upcoming year! I'm glad to have been elected and look forward to the great year ahead of us full of service, laughter and wonderful memories. Although I may be an officer, I want you to know that I am no different from you and that you can always rely on me as a friend too!!! Slide into the DMs and don't be a stranger. Goals I have for the year include the usual, expanding membership, but also diversifying our communities. I look forward to our year together!

In Love and Service, Kevin Le

Recap from Past Events ďƒ˜The Color Run 5k

ďƒ˜A bunch of Key Clubbers either gathered to volunteer or to participate in the run! Either way, there was no escaping getting completely drenched in colorful powder.

Recap from April DCM Perfect weather held up at Coulon Park to support LTG Ashley Villanueva’s first official DCM! We brainstormed with our school club’s, had presidents’ reports, and played a bunch of awesome ice breakers. Always a great way to meet new people!

Recap from April DCM

What did you think about the April DCM? “I thought that Ashley's DCM was a ton of fun with the traditional icebreakers we had throughout the meeting. I also appreciated how Ashley brought the President reports back to the DCMs. It was awesome to hear what each club was doing and their upcoming events throughout the month!” –Andy Luu

“I thought Ashley's first DCM was great! She did a good job on getting everyone involved and into the ice breakers. Ashley also did a great job on bringing all the key clubbers together when the officers shared their updates and ongoing stuff.” –Diego Betancourt

What did you think about the April DCM? “I thought the meeting was awesome! I loved all of the ice breakers even though the flag one was a bit dangerous. I wish it was longer, though. It went by too quickly!” –Emma Teppner

“DCMs, for me, are usually something I really enjoy. They're always super fun and every time I go I feel welcomed, like all of us are one huge family and Ashley's DCM didn't change that at all! I enjoyed every part of it and felt like I got to know Key Clubbers from other clubs (even my own club!) that I normally wouldn't talk to. I'm definitely looking forward to more of Ashley's DCMs.” –Trisha Tran

*thumbs up* “We should do it outside more often!” – Brandon Hoang
