Howdy from the Editor IF YOU READ THIS, YOU GET BROWNIE POINTS!!! Long time, no see… some of you! Those two months of vacation sure flew by fast. Welcome back to another fabulous year of Key Club. A year to make the best of your experience in this service club, make memories beyond belief, and meet more people than you can remember (trust me, Key Club is BIG)! It makes my heart warm and fuzzy to have seen so many of you Key Clubbers get out this summer and volunteer in your communities! Keep doing what you’re doing; the new school year ain’t no reason for that service to come to a halt. I’m quite awkward and can seem anti-social at times, but I really am a kind and easy-to-talk-to person (even if my face doesn’t say it). Please don’t hesitate to say “howdy” to me or ask me questions about ANYTHING, Key Club related or not. See you around the halls, especially the Lecture Hall! ;-) Until the next one, Shogun Kusumi
Hello from President Hi from thethe President HI, FELLOW KEY CLUBBERS! SCHOOL’S BACK AND YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS!!!!! I have to say that I really miss meetings and seeing you keyuties every Monday, but ‘TIS OKAY! I hope to see you all at our first meeting on the 12th and I can't wait for you all to meet our new advisor, Ms. Auman, if you haven't already (she is one cool cat)! Other than my excessive use of exclamation points, it was really great to see you guys out there and volunteering this summer and nothing could have made me happier, unless it's Avatar, than I would be overjoyed. Another little note, if you guys aren't able to attend meetings this year because of sports, work, or anything in general, please know that to be a member, MEETINGS ARE NOT THE ONLY WAY TO BE ONE. As long as you are involved whether at school, in your community, or maybe even online at home, you ARE a part of Key Club (being that you paid your dues). Nonetheless, there are so many ways for you to be involved in Key Club without attending the Monday meetings. For example, you could attend DCMs or just plain old volunteer!! I really hope to see you guys out there more in the future! Signing off, Sifu Ashley
Hey from the the Vice President President Hello from Hey, Key Clubbers!!! I'd like to start off by saying thanks for being interested in Key Club. Key Club is seriously an experience unlike any other, but the secret in order to gain that experience is to be MORE involved. This means that instead of simply going to meetings, participate in the events presented during them!! Through these, you will meet an incredible amount of people and create many memories. If you ever have any questions about Key Club or anything in general, don't be afraid to ask me. I love meeting new people and I tend to remember names easily so if you ever see me, don't be afraid to say “hello. My goal for the year is to have an amazing year with all of you and continue to impact our communities. Thanks so much for reading through this wall of text!! I can't wait to meet all of you key-uties. In love and service, Kevin Le
Yo from the Secretary & Treasurer Hey Key Clubbers! My name is Tommy and I'm your 2016-2017 Hazen Key Club Secretary. I look forward to keeping track of all of your hours and also getting to know each of you individually! Stay toasty, Tommy Huynh
Hello, Key Clubbers, and a special hello to all the new Key Clubbers! I'm Brittney Do, your treasurer, but you can call me tonight (or anytime because I am always here for you even if it is not Key Club related matters). I am super duper excited to meet and see each and every one of you. My goal this year is, not only to have fundraisers for Kiwanis Children’s Cancer Project, KCCP, and Livestrong, but to get to know you personally. See you around, key-uties! In love and service, Brittney Do

Thank you for your willingness to try new things and to go to as many Key Club events as you can! Keep doing you, Brandon!
Who will be the October Dragon?
Brandon’s Wise Words What was your favorite service event ever? My favorite event ever was The Color Run. I liked this event a lot because it was with a lot of friends and I think we got a lot done!
What's your favorite food of all time? My favorite food of all time is steak. What do you want to say to the newcomers (freshmen) about joining Key Club? I want to say to the incoming freshmen of Key Club to not see Key Club as a place just to get hours. See it as a type of sorority or fraternity where everyone is your brother and sister in the Key Club family! What's your spirit animal? My spirit animal is giraffe.
