Site Strategy
The site is sitted at the conjuction of Hennessy Road and Fleming Road which is near the middle-right of Wanchai. The site is near the harbour. However, the wall effect created by the tall buildings are very critical to the site. There are many site limitations and contrains.

Busy traffic along Hennessy Road -Entry at the south-east side of the site -Using full ratio of site coverage and polt ratio accorrdingly
-Open space introduce people into the building -Buffer zone or greening landscape as welcoming people
-Best Perspective towards the building with a curve apperace -Locating core to southwest of the site with less pedestrain density
-Projection are made according to "form follow function" with better functionality and aesthetic

Responding nearby buildings with curves

My idea is to offset to building from the southern side of Thomson Road. The most astonishing perspective of the building is expressed in front of the pedestrian along the Fleming Road. By introducing the flow and curvature in facade articulation, the building can bring more energy and harmony from Johnston Road to Hennessy Road. Also, introducing more greening to the neighborhood is also one of the strategies. Other than using up the open space on southern and eastern side of the site, the lower three levels will emphasize on an exposed but natural environment to public and workers working in the commercial building. The curve with Tai Yau building, which is one of the well-known centre in Wanchai, is highlighted.

FORM AND FACADE The form of the tower features three boxes of functional spaces. The core is set at the southern-west. An appealing box is facing the sea at the junction of Fleming Road and Hennessy Road. The articulation is design as the minimal for best sun lighting effect. The other two box is articulated by shading devices.
FACADE GESTURE A warm welcome is encouragement to employees. The main entry for workers is located at the southern east of the site, the less busy junction. The curve not only emphasize on the response of neighboring buildings, but also suggest the energetic motivation to the working environment of the skyline.
