learnt with each passing year. I know I hate having to re-learn something or having the same thing come up time and again. However I guess the human side of nature is ‘’perhaps it will work better this way round’’. And honestly if it has not worked the first time round what are the chances it will the second time round. This is something we will continue to learn as we tend to not listen to our Inner Beings very much.
Welcome to the March Issue.
There truly is plenty happening in the month of March and especially if you are in Kwa-Zulu Natal the KZN Healers Fair is taking place on the 12th and definitely should not be missed. If you need a mini attunement, tarot reading or a relaxing massage, any which you would not normally go and have done or do, then this is the place to be.
Quite unbelievable that we are entering into the 3rd month of 2016, and so far it has been an extremely busy year. Well perhaps you have been able to ease into it with a more relaxed programme.
So far I have found that the energy levels have been high and reactions all round rather volatile—and all we With that I will leave you to get on with should be doing is maintaining a good reading about John who survived 33 grounding technique as this too shall 000V and Gilly who has learnt a new pass as they say. art form to supplement her income Should you have read the blog post, and so much more. HUMOUR
Two elderly people living in Apache Junction, he was a widower and she a widow, had known each other for a number of years. One evening there was a community supper in the big arena in the Clubhouse. The two were at the same table, across from one another. As the meal went on, he took a few admiring glances at her and finally gathered the courage to ask her, “Will you marry me?” After about six seconds of “careful consideration,” she answered “Yes. Yes, I will!” The meal ended and, with a few more pleasant exchanges, they went to their respective places. Next morning, he was troubled. “Did she say 'yes' or did she say 'no'?” He couldn't remember. Try as he might, he just could not recall. Not even a faint memory. With trepidation, he went to the telephone and called her. First, he explained that he didn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the lovely evening past.. As he gained a little more courage, he inquired, “When I asked if you would marry me, did you say ' Yes' or did you say 'No'?” He was delighted to hear her say, “Why, I said, 'Yes, yes I will' Aneis de Vida
and I meant it with all my heart.” Then she continued, “And I am so glad that you called, because I couldn't remember who had asked me.”

After what seemed like half an hour to an hour, his voice returned and he was able to call for help. An elderly Indian gentleman came out from one of the houses. John had his cell phone and asked him to phone the company for help. Before the paramedics arrived some of the company staff got to John. They moved him into the shade, covered him with a blanket and got some sugar water into him. At this point he still had no idea of the severity of his injuries nor did he have a clue as to what was still to come. The paramedics stabilised John with icepacks and he recalls his feet feeling as if they were on fire. He started to fluctuate between severe panic and thoughts of ‘’I am going to die’’ to admonishing himself with ‘’John calm down, panic is not going to help’’ and trying to remain logical. During the waves of panic he would ask the paramedics to please tell all his loved ones that he loved them. The idea of death brought on the fear of what he was going to loose - all his loved ones. By the time he arrived his family had already been notified and were there waiting for him. He got wheeled into the trauma unit and has no recollection of telling his father ‘’they are going to have to amputate my hands’’.

She was always there for him, but pushed him beyond even that of the physio therapists. Karen would not allow him to become self-pitying and he says she ruled his room with an iron fist. The reality of his situation truly hit home on the day of his first bath. He was to soak in the water to allow them to remove the bandages without opening the wounds. Lowering him into the bath, and removing the bandages was when he first saw the extent of his injuries. His stumps were the size of soccer balls and looked like raw meat. The shock of this made him turn to Karen and say ‘’I wish I had died’’. In true Karen style the response was ‘’don’t talk rubbish’’. This was the start of his mental battle, going through depression, not knowing how he was going to live his life from here on out. The second option was to take responsibility for his life and take actions toward living a full and rewarding life. He chose the 2nd. John was going to make his life happen and was not going to wallow in self-pity. After the talk with his mom he started to set himself goals, small attainable goals. He was going to walk out of that hospital. And he most definitely did. On 9th January he walked out of the hospital, albeit the wheelchair following in his wake as he was weak and prone to becom-

She realized this would afford her the opportunity to travel and see the world as she had dreamed whilst growing up.

On a morning she went out shopping and got back to the farm. Not wanting to walk backward and forward with packets and parcels she decided to carry them all in, in one go. There was no reason for what happened next, she just fell. She paid little attention to this incident and life continued as before. A few months down the line she was down March 2016
at the stables, and the phone was ringing in the house. Running back to answer it a little voice in her head said ‘’you not running quite the way you should be’’. She got to the phone and answered it, and then forgot about the voice whilst she was running to answer the phone. It was November 1987, the month where the horses receive their annual horse flu vaccinations. She was really fit, or so she thought at the time, and did not want to land up having to ‘’retrain’’ her body waiting out the usual 3 weeks of no riding after their vaccinations. So she decided to jog around the paddock/training ring. She kept stumbling, no matter how hard she tried not to stumble it was just not working. She went to sit in-front of the paddock/training ring and she remembers very clearly that her horse bent down and nuzzled her neck. Gilly has no recollection as to the amount of time she spent there but it was the first time she really knew within herself that something was wrong, and that it was time to find out what exactly the problem was.
Only in 1991 was she got diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The neurologist at the time gave her pamphlets to read – which of course did not make for happy reading. And she recalls that she remembers knowing at the time that this illness would get the better of her from a physical point of view but she would NEVER allow it to infiltrate her mind and get the better of her mentally.
Eventually she could not bare the long distance relationship, Raul would come and visit for a weekend every 3-4 weeks and then they would have the most amazing time together and he would have to leave again. So she decided to end the relationship. Not because she knew that stressful situations were to be avoided in MS patients but it just broke her heart time and again.
She points out that there are different kinds of MS (multiple sclerosis) – her muscles stopped working, it has been a slow progression which started in her feet. And has gradually worked its way up to her neck. She has absolutely no pain and as she matter of factly states ‘’things just stop working’’.
With time it became apparent that her flat was no longer serving her as she was no longer able to get up and down the stairs. Resulting in her moving into a cottage on her brother’s property. From there they eventually found her a home in Waterfall Durban as she needed proper care.
From walking normally she began using a walking stick, then a walker, then a wheel chair – but prior to this she decided that she would have to move back to Johannesburg, South Africa due to all the specialists being there.
It was a hard move for Gilly and yet she knew her family had only her best interests at heart.
For the first 3 years of being at the home she did nothing but enjoy the sunshine and activities. However, as with all things, life and the expensShe bought herself a brand es of day to day living inspanking new flat, returned creased and she found that to her old company and Gilly she needed to try and supsays that her new flat was not plement her income to pay so well finished off so she for her care. As you lived your life, you moved from experience to experience edging your way toward what you came to do. When the time was right, you started to ask some simpler questions that would lead you to the ultimate questions: Who am I and why am I here? Gemstones for Grounding In today’s fast paced world with all its deadlines and stress it is vital to remember to ground yourself. Being grounded is all about being connected to the planet, being centred within our bodies and receiving energy from the earth like the roots of a tree. It provides a sense of calm and having enjoyment in engaging with the world around us. Being grounded helps us make better decisions. We behave authentically and we own our power. We need to be fully present to be able to achieve any goal, i.e. we need to be grounded.

his article is dedicated to the loyal activists who are committed to environmental justice. These brave people continue regardless of the atrocities that they are faced with. They show us documented, cut versions of what is really going on in our world hoping the message will get to us. They want our attention so that we can hear the message and take actions that are empowered with purposeful action. I have been writing Sprout It articles for the past five years. The inspiration to write came to me in a time in my life where I became deeply concerned about the continuum of our planet. I began asking questions to people in my life. What did they think about the sustainability of our current consumerism practices? Where would it take us as a human race? I found that there are three distinctive reactions. The first group of people are desperately trying to open humanities eyes and ears to what is happening around us. They are labelled Aneis de Vida
fear mongers’, conspiracy theorists and negative. The other group suggested to me to stop asking questions, ‘it is as it is, just keep following what everyone else is doing’. ‘They’, know what they are doing.’ They must be rightthey are the majority.’ The third group of people are just trying to survive on a daily bases. They don’t have time to think about an external world that is so far removed from them. Something deep inside of me could not let go of what I believed to be a large and terrifying problem if left unanswered.
The first documentary I watched was called The Power of Community-How Cuba survived Peak Oil. It gave an in depth look at how a country pulled together when there was little to almost no fuel, no imported foods, no farming implements to till the fields to name a few circumstances that the country found itself in. A very dire life story that affected everyone whether rich or poor, a doctor or the street sweeper, every life was touched by the plummeting economy. What was inspiring about the documentary is that it showed people coming together and building communities that supported each and every living being. Every piece of communal land possible was 44
turned into food forests. People grew vegetables on their flat balconies and in their back yards. The farmer became the beacon of light as every person turned to them for agricultural advice. People needed food. There were no imported chemicals to spray the crops so they learnt organic farming practices. General Health improved as people lost weight, ate organic fruit and vegetables and were involved in healthy outdoor activities as in gardening and walking.
I felt encouraged. There was hope. If a country could pull together then humanity on a global scale could do the same thing if required to. This inspired me to want to share supportive health and environmental information that would encourage people to make significant life changes. If we began practices at home, and educated the people around us, surely the knock on effect would have us being more responsible of our actions, our wants and desires. We would be empowered. We would be part of the solution, not the cause of the problem. I started sharing ideas with my in-door and out-door kitchen gardens practices. Growing sprouts and micro-greens and sharing all the amazing benefits of these dynamite seeds. I March 2016
then extended these practices into a Permaculture Veggie Garden. I cannot begin to share with you the joy of collecting my home grown veggies and fruit and then being able to produce delicious meals. I then extended it into preserving these foods through a Fermentation process. My family’s impact on the environment is reduced less and less as we take charge of our circumstances and our health. And there are many people out there doing the same thing that keep us all inspired and forever hopeful.
I ran a quick time line of the information that has come to me over the past 5 years. What scientists, geologists, the people on the ground that live and witness the demise of the planets resources and natural habitats as well as the extinction of almost half the world’s animal and insect life suggested, has already happened. There is no going back. Extinction says that something that was and is now no more. The latest documentary- Racing Extinction- I watched, showed a video piece of a species of bird called the Kayai O’o. This is a small forest bird, native to the Hawaiian Islands. These birds mate for life. The presenter was explaining the Aneis de Vida
bird’s duet song through a sound recording. When the birds sing, it is a back and forth duet. You hear the male singing and where there would be a response from the female bird, is silence. The last male Kayai O’o singing for a species, which will never come. He sang, totally alone and now, is too, no more. If this has happened to this bird species then it would be happening through every facet of Nature. To contemplate the meaning of this all, is heart-breaking.
have to be met.
Then we need to look to ourselves. Educate yourself about the implications that your daily habits have on your environment and health. We all operate on crisis mode. We wait for our health to deteriorate to a point of no return. We then fight for our life at such incredible cost to our self and everyone around us. This is no different to the way we are treating our planet and its resources. There is never a better time in ‘The Natural world is still sing- our lives as now, to stop, and ing, but the human race has re-evaluate what is truly stopped listening’ meaningful. The message is so clear- Is this the planet we So this is where we, humans, want to be passing on to the come in. Let us stop handing our people to think philosophicalpower over to those that are intent on destroying what little we have left. For the better part of our journey on this planet, we have profited very well. We can surely cut back and start putting back. There are many activist groups that are desperately fighting for animal rights, earth rights, and human rights. They need our support. We may not be able to join them in person but we can assist by spreading their intention. We can support financially. They too have families and needs that ly," she once said, "I want 45

You will struggle to hold me tight. I cannot rest at the foot of your chair and listen to tales woven from intellectual arguments Placed solidly in front of my ears expecting approval. I am not one to be bargained with, nor threatened, Nor coerced into inappropriate action Unless it serves some useful purpose. And it is best you know this up front. I am not one to hide behind sugared words and contemptuous platitudes. I see things in accordance with a set of guidelines Honed from years of observation and experience. And I check your words against the yardstick of these parameters. I will notice if they do not match.
You might find me hard and unyielding. To some I have been labelled stubborn, to others single-minded. And it is true that once I have set a path I do not waver from it

Psyche refers to: “The human mind or soul. In Greek mythology, the soul was personified by Psyche, a young woman who was loved by Eros, the god of love who married Psyche but visited her only at night and insisted that she should never see his face. One night Psyche lit an oil lamp while Eros was asleep, fell in love with him at first sight, and was so startled by his beauty that she spilt a drop of oil on his shoulder and awakened him, whereupon he immediately abandoned her. To win him back, Psyche had to endure many trials and dangers, but eventually she was transformed into a goddess and joined him in heavenly bliss. Psyche is often depicted in works of art with butterfly wings or as a butterfly, because she symbolizes the human soul, suffering hardship and struggle in life but re-emerging after death in a new and better existence, like a caterpillar reborn as a butterfly, psychic or psychical. From Greek psyche breath, from psychein to breathe, alluding to the ancient belief that breathing was evidence that the soul had not yet left the body. ~ (Oxford Dictionary of Psychology by Colman) Erosion is regarded as the process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water or other natural agents; the Aneis de Vida

It is always fear-based and thus slowly over time erode Over the years of practice as our sense of aliveness, our psychologist I have witnessed connection to life, our beautiful vitality. the many ways in which SoulErosion takes place. Unlike the way erosion in Nature takes place, SoulErosion is not the result of the wearing away by natural elements, but more the result of artificial attachments and the extraction/disconnect from soulfulness in life.
Unfortunately our unresolved fears determine our mode of operating in the world, for where fear is in the driving seat we will find it encapsulated in some or other protective shield. Our fears of being unworthy, bad, unlovable, incompetent, inadequate, not good enough, alone, rejected, abandoned, insignificant, invisible etc. make us want to shield ourselves from the world and control our exposure to said fears. Walking the path of fear is a sure way to erode the soul. However, transforming our fears is no easy task either. It requires courage to face and release them. Yet, if we can manage to do that, we may very well be liberated into a more authentic, soulfully connected and sensuous attunement with life.
There are certainly a lot going on in the world today. Environmental degradation, economic turmoil, political & religious conflicts and uncertainty about the future are all factors eroding the soulfulness of this world. These situations often make us feel powerless as it seems beyond our influence. Yet, these may very well just be the reflection of SoulErosion on individual level rippling out to the world climate and looping back in on the individual level. Solitude I regard Carl Gustav Jung as a master of solitude, so I find it appropriate to quote his wisdom on the topic: “The touchstone is being alone with oneself.” ~ The Red Book, page 330 “Everyone who becomes conscious of even a fraction of his unconscious gets outside his own time and social stratum into a kind of solitude.” ~ Mysterium Coniunctionis; CW 14, page 258 “I am no longer alone with myself, and I can only artificially recall the scary and beautiful feeling of solitude. This is the shadow side of the fortune of love.” ~ The Red Book, Introduction, page 196 “It is always important to have something to bring into a relationship, and solitude is often the means by which you acquire it. ~ Carl Jung; Letters, Vol. II, page 610 “Everything to come was already in images: to find their soul, the ancients went into the desert. This is an image. The ancients lived their symbols, since the world had not yet become real for them. Thus they went into the solitude of the desert to teach us that the place of the soul is a lonely desert.” ~ Carl Jung, Red Book, page 236 Embodied Presence Aneis de Vida
It is being here now, being present to whatever arises in the moment through the body, through our senses. We can simply do that by feeling our feet on the ground and being aware of our breath as it moves. Embodied Presence is being awake and engaged through our senses to the lifeforce and source that pulses inside and outside of the body.

Nature…. I write with my notebook in the sand. Little grains of gold shimmering jewels lay scattered across the page. My fingers hold the pen and pause as a seagull close to me eagerly calls to his mate. The sound of waves crashing onto the shore has entered me and is joining with the waves of sound within me. It is a never-ending sound that moves steadily in and out like the air that fills and leaves my lungs. I feel the warm rays of the sun falling down on the still of my physical form. In that moment I wonder what it was like before the footprints of man fell down on this land. When it was still wild and untamed…a magical place of wild wonder. A stirring inside me reminds me of my own wildness. In my mind’s eye I can see wild animals roaming free. In the present moment I observe the seagulls in a mating dance. Two suitors dancing like warriors in front of an audience of one and me of course with no ticket and a borrowed seat for their dance of wildness. Not everyone experiences the dance of wildness between them and Nature, yet the invitation is always there. Being in Nature is about accepting the invitation to dance with one’s own wildness. It is about accepting the invitation to listen to your soul in communion with Nature. Being in Nature is a spiritual practice. It is the act of returning to one’s true home. Home to a place where only your authentic presence is required. Being in Nature is about allowing the deep wisdom from within you to emerge, to emerge in an unconditional presence where all of nature is your witness in true form. To be in Nature you only need to show up, for no questions of your origin is asked as it is al61

ready known. In Nature no expectations of the world we live in counts. Only your raw, undefined, unbounded energy to flow from its core is wanted. Being in Nature is about opening up to a world with its own rhythm and its own flow. She doesn’t need to be understood nor accepted by our standards. Only to be allowed the freedom to be. Being in Nature requires no control over what we fear lies in the unknown. For fear closes us off to the wonderful ways in being Nature offers. Being in nature is about allowing it to become whatever it chooses to be. Allowing yourself to become what you are. To only bear witness and allow the very essence of the experience of you in conversation with Nature to fill you. To be in nature we need to allow the wakening of our senses and to experience being alive fully. Let our eyes see without judgment or definition. Let our ears hear beyond the obvious sounds and hear the symphony and melody beneath our interpretation. Let our smell guide us into a world of discovery, leaving the familiar for the unfamiliar. Being in nature asks us to touch and feel the wonder of life. Being in nature is about having a conversation with theAneis de Vida
other-than-human-world. To be curious about what wisdom she can bestow upon us when we don’t even know how the start the conversation or let alone are able to formulate a question. Being nature is to allow the indescribable, unpredictable and unrepeatable mystery to find you and transform you often slowly and drop by drop over time. Being in nature is to practice patience until the essence of everything reveals itself to you. Being in nature is about connecting with the wilderness within us all. To connect with that wilderness inside we only have to look towards nature and the wild for inspiration. As we observe a lioness, a tigress, a leopard, the wild is ever-present in the look in their eyes, it is the knowing of being powerful, of being free, nothing is forced; everything is natural and an untainted vehicle for spontaneous flow of energy. The lioness just knows who she is, she does not question that. Although her power doesn’t go unchallenged, it is never questioned. It is that very essence that we as humans often find frightening and therefore has to control it. Yet is not to be feared and we are to only discover the wonderful state of living in harmony with all 62
the parts of ourselves and the gift of living in harmony with others, nature and the wild. Being in Nature is about listening to the stirring, a deep sense of knowing that we are more, that there is more to be discovered. The part of our soul that gets dominated and controlled by the demands and expectations of society is always knocking on the door of consciousness and Nature opens that door. We don’t always want to open the door to the wild side out of fear of disapproval, rejection and isolation. But if we are to lead a more purposeful, authentic life we have to let it loose, let it play and allow it to express itself on its own terms. This is what emerges when are in nature. Connecting with the wilderness within you, doesn’t mean that you discard all other aspects of yourself, all that is real will remain and hopefully all that is false will disintegrate. Being wild is also not a permission to destroy or destruct or prey on others. Linda Kohanov the author of The Tao of Equus says: “Human beings carry the wisdom of both predator and prey. True empowerment depends on finding a balance between the two. Cultivating the strength of your “inner lion” without letting it run amok, is tricky. If you don’t March 2016
have enough lion, people will walk all over you, and you’ll lack the conviction and focus to follow your dreams. If you have too much lion, you’ll lose the sensitivity that nurtures relationship and creativity.”

Hold a space for Compassion to Self & Others For me compassion is a ‘feeling with’ state, a softening of the heart in the understanding of our commonality in suffering. It is allowing one to be touched by what is painful in the world and moving that energy into action in order to transform that suffering. The focus for this month is NEGATIVITY It is time to pause for thought …… take time …… think carefully ……. You NEVER know what someone else is going through on a particular day, a particular hour, and how much pain, sadness, or hopelessness they may be feeling. I urge you all to watch your words carefully …. A word said in jest, in a negative way, in sarcasm can break a person down even more depending on what THEY are going through at that time. Always think before you say something de meaning, rather think …. why say it at all …. By keeping your thoughts, feelings, and jokes to yourself, you may in turn be doing someone a favour and not raining down even darker thoughts on a day they are struggling to find the light within themselves.

Greetings beloved Children of the Light, it is I Melchizedek. I have come forward today to say, have you noticed how your thoughts and desires are beginning to manifest rapidly in this now?
This will continue for the rest of this year, as it has been said, it is a time of reaping. So dear ones, choose your thoughts and emotions wisely, as you can be assured they will manifest, be they blessed or otherwise.
You have all been through so many alignments, lessons and learnings, you know what is needed in your individual lives to advance you on your path of destiny. Choose wisely and know all the beings of light that walk with you individually, are standing close at this time of great change.
March
Be more aware than ever before, that with each day that passes, your thoughts and emotions are bringing to you all that you have focused on. Do not sit in judgement at the Divine when turbulence enters your lives, rather take some quiet time to look inside of your hearts and realise the inner programmings that are playing constantly at the back of your minds, that are bringing this turbulence to you. Its time to become Masters of your lives dear ones.
Message from the Angelic Realm
Adonai, Namaste.

March 3 Card Reading 1—10 March A time to let go of the past. It is a fortunate time in which new avenues and adventures draw and await you. You may feel that you have been waiting for this time to happen and you will be transforming from a caterpillar into a butterfly. Embrace the new and let go of all that is or was holding you back. Enter this new time with confidence and conviction.
11 –20 March This is a time of giving and receiving. When you hold on too tight to that which is supposed to be shared you will not hold onto it for long, it will disappear like quicksilver through your fingers. A time to remember that fear based thoughts are not going to bring you your dreams. Believe in yourself and that which you want to achieve.
21—31 March Feeling a little despondent? Now is not the time to give up. Push forward with renewed energy and be prepared for any possibility. You are facing the last bit of the challenge before the breakthrough.

6. At this level we are also able to tap into archetypal energies – releasing deep ancestral memories so that we can heal at a very deep level and let go of the past. In ancient times many shamanic practices incorporated dancing to a mesmerizing and repetitive rhythm until one was transported to the world of imagination…to the unconscious place where all of our past is documented all the way back in time to our original genetic structure or ‘blueprint’. In this ‘magical’ state we tap into our inner wisdom- ‘the wisdom of the ages’- and bring back the solutions. Paradoxically, in relinquishing conscious control, we perceive the reality of the situation and gain insight. In practicing CHAKRADANCETM we step safely into this vast space; to go deep within and hear the messages and manifest them in a way that increases our trust in our own intuition; we engage with the teacher within. Here too, we truly learn to be the objective witness… to tap into our inner knowing and to allow it to play out. We perceive situations with intuitive inner wisdom and we become more effective commanders of our tomorrows.
If there was any discord when answering the questions perhaps these 5 little tips will help you understand and begin to bring balance to the third-eye chakra.
A balanced brow chakra allows us to experience more authentic intuition whilst gain- 1. ing a stronger sense of reality and therefore a command of our situation. When underenergised there is a distinct lack of trust in one’s intuition and we fail to pick up mean- 2. ingful signs and synchronicities. An over energised third-eye results in distortion and delusion, where fantasy becomes 3. reality and ‘magical’ significance is bestowed on on everything; all sense of reality is lost and we become a slave to a make-believe land. 4. Is your crown chakra balanced?
5. Ask yourself these questions:
1.
How good is my memory?
2.
Am I able to visualise eas ily?
3.
Do I remember some of my dreams?
4.
Am I able to clearly see what I want in life?
“Allow yourself the privilege of dreaming up a glorious life 5. that fulfills all your fantasies.” ~ Anodea Judith~ Aneis de Vida
Do I trust my intuitive feel ings?
Commit to regular prac tice of intuition building exercises (meditation, guided visualisation, trance dance, dreamwork) Regularly ask advice from your intuitive self and then be open to the flow of intuition.
Recognise the relevance of chance encounters, co-incidences and syn chronicities. See these as signposts to guide you. Use your imagination to create the life you want. Use visualisation, or cre ate a vision board.
Learn to trust your “sixth sense”. When it feels ap propriate, use intuition even if it is beyond ration al explanation.
Do I have creative, origin -al ideas when faced with new situations? 77

We are faced daily with situations which affect us and threaten our peace of mind. Some are of a personal nature but many relate to the nation or even the world as a whole. For example, the high cost of living, unemployment, the spiralling crime rate, corruption, as well as global issues such as wars and political upheavals. Although it is important to take note of these issues, allowing your mind to continually fill up with negative thoughts and intense emotions such as fear, rage, anger, frustration and resentment, is not helpful to your emotional wellness and self‑development. At this point I wish to tell you a story, actually a parable from the East, one which explains this principle quite well. There were once two monks. One was quite old and the other a novice. One day, they were walking along the road and came to the banks of a river.
Handling Your Thoughts & Emotions on a Daily Basis
Here they saw a beautiful young girl waiting to cross the river. She was a little afraid as the river was quite deep. The younger monk turned his head away and tried to ignore the young girl, as he was concerned that she would be a temptation to him. However, the older monk simply gathered the young girl up on his shoulders, carried her across the river and put her down on the other side.
By Jimmy Henderson Jimmy Henderson is a cognitive scientist and metaphysician. His books are available on Amazon.com (Jimmy Henderson) or via his website www.jimmyhendersonbooks.com Aneis de Vida
They then continued with their journey. After a short while, the younger monk could bear it no longer and gently challenged the elder on the issue. ‘Sir, we are both bound to our vows of chastity, was it therefore not a sin to have approached and gathered up that young girl at the river?’ The older monk looked at his novice in a puzzled manner and softly remarked. ‘I left the young girl at the river.’ ‘I see you are still carrying her with you’.

An important part of emotional wellness is being able to maintain an inner stillness, balance and control which can be usually be achieved through meditation. As in the case of the novice monk, this is not achieved by pure will-power or by avoiding life’s important challenges, but rather by consciously being able to let go of unwanted thoughts and emotions, as demonstrated by the elder monk.

Have you ever found yourself wanting to slow life down to a more manageable pace, free of the stresses created by an ever faster moving world? Do you crave a simpler more sustainable quality of life where you can easily align yourself to the rhythms and cycles of nature? Due to our continual need to make our lives easier, safer, more convenient and comfortable, we’ve accepted many new innovations and societal norms that have caused an imbalance with the natural order and cycles of life. In the name of progress, we live in a distorted reality, unnaturally sped up and invaded by an artificial world of technology and instant information that in many ways opposes and contradicts nature and all life on earth. Genetically modified food, nuclear power, fracking, wireless technology and For over two decades, he has woven toxic pesticides are a few examples of what his multifaceted skills and mastery as were originally conceived of as good ideas to improve our quality of life and yet have an accomplished international done more damage than good to all life, inteacher, human behaviour specialist, cluding our own. The Three Universal Laws How to live in balance, harmony and abundance.
Aneis de Vida
The first law states that “Everything in the universe operates from the concept of minimum effort for maximum efficiency” or in its abbreviated form, the law of min/max. If we turn to nature, we will find many countless 87
March 2016
examples of how this law occurs. The sun along with all the stars shine their light consistently, they don’t shine brighter with more energy for eight hours a day or five days a week and then dim themselves down to recharge. Plants don’t push themselves to grow in times of drought, they conserve their energy and burst out with life bearing flowers and fruits when the season changes and the rains come. Birds and animals won’t give birth to young during the winter months, they wait until spring arrives where there is a greater chance for their babies to thrive and ensure their species will continue. We on the other hand have become enslaved in a false unnatural reality that contradicts this law. We push past our limits, by creating artificial living conditions, chemically fertilizing and genetically modifying our crops to force them into bearing larger fruit faster and more abundantly. We have industrialized the production of meat products by forcing animals into overpopulated pens and then injecting them with growth hormones and antibiotics to counteract the unnatural living conditions they are subjected to. We do it to ourselves by living in overpopulated cities, breathing in toxic air, bombarding our brain cells with harmful Aneis de Vida
wireless & micro waves and electro magnetic force fields. All this in the name of a new and improved quality of life. How can this be so if it is killing us at the cellular level? This is definitely not min/max and completely out of balance with how the rest of life functions efficiently and effectively. The second law states that “All life is born from a feminine receptive energy and 88
seeded by a masculine conceptive energy”. We all know that both genders of a species are needed to create life. It stands to reason that all offspring owe their lives to their parents and therefore should be afforded an inherent honour and respect for creating life. Although this law is far more evident here on earth where we can bear witness to life continually birthing itself, it extends beMarch 2016
yond our planet. Quantum science discovered how this law is woven throughout the fabric of the universe when dark or anti matter was first detected. Dark matter has been found to exist everywhere and in everything. It is the feminine receptive space within which all things exist and from which all things are born. The particles are the seeds which conceive and give form to life. Interestingly enough the 72 elements that give life to a star are the same elements that give life to us humans. In other words, we all come from the same source, so thinking or believing we are separate from this puts us in contradiction and out of alignment with this law. The third law states that “No wilful harm must be done to life, including ourselves. Many of us will be more familiar with this law because we are generally not intent on bringing harm to anyone or anything. As true as this is, we can be totally unaware of the various ways we do harm, especially when we give no thought to the consequences of our actions and choices. Consciously, we can bring harm whenever we seek personal gain, power, comfort or pleasure. At other times we don’t want to know about the harm we cause so we would rather close our eyes and feign ignorance. Where Aneis de Vida
we cause the most harm is to ourselves through our negative inner-dialogue and all the ways we are not truthful and honest with ourselves. Living in alignment with this law starts from within by becoming more aware of what we really need and desire from life and then willingly taking responsibility for creating a life that fulfils, satisfies and supports our true naturalness. This also means we are prepared to stand accountable for all our actions, words and thoughts and the impact they have.
selves doing or thinking something that we know is out of alignment with any of the laws, all we have to do is acknowledge that it happened and then make the necessary change or adjustment. With each change we make, our conscious awareness increases and our quality of life improves as it harmoniously flows in tune with the rhythm and balance of the entire universe. This is the secret to living a life of abundance, joy, fulfilment and prosperity.
Whether we are aware of these laws or not, they are always present and govern every aspect of our lives. To live within these Universal Laws requires no special training or secret knowledge it is simply making a conscious choice to do so. Unlearning and retraining old patterns, behaviours and beliefs takes time and patience. Every time we catch our-
