It is with a great sense of pride in TZO chapter accomplishments, the mid-year report is presented: Operations & Service Held 6 Executive board meetings (January – June) Held 6 Chapter meetings (January – June) Hosted committee teleconferences (January – June) Kicked off Launching New Dimensions of Service at the January 3rd chapter meeting (January) Launched Anti – Basileus new service initiative, 50 Ways to Serve in 2015 (January) Celebrated the Golden Anniversary Founders’ Day (January) Participated in MLK events –Pink Carpet Night (Selma Showing), MLK Youth Summit- "Movement Your Time - All Lives Matter” Youth Summit, Women on Top, & Sunday Inspiration (January) Attended the Black History Discussion Forum hosted by Xi Zeta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. & Moss Point Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (January) Promoted “Think HBCU” initiative in the MLK parade by wearing AKA HBCU paraphernalia (January) Participated in Community Impact Day – MLK Day of Service by volunteering at the ticket booth during the Battle of the Bands (January) Held 1st ASCEND training and 2015 program planning at HOPE Church (January)

Soror Bridgette Parks won Membership Chairman of the Year (March) Sorors Evelyn Millender and Bonnie Washington participated in the 83 rd SERC Choir (March) Soror Stephanie Barnes Taylor presented a workshop at the 83rd SERC (March) Soror Angela Jupiter – McCon served as Convener of workshops at the 83rd SERC (March) TZO Sorors participated in the 84th SERC Invitation (March) Donated backpacks to the 83rd SERC (March) Donated backpacks to Soror Courtney Caples Tate’s school (April) Supported the City of Moss Point’s Easter Egg Hunt by donating hotdogs (April) Soror Ja’Leasa Walden presented an AKA/NAMI Awareness workshop on the April Community Impact Day (April) TZO Sorors were appointed to the 84th SERC Steering Committee (Soror Angela Jupiter – Programs Chairman, Soror Barbara Irvin – Pecunious Grammateus, Soror Ja’Leasa Walden – Technology / Guidebook Co-Chairman, & Soror Angela Campbell – Entertainment Co-Chairman) and attended the initial planning meeting (April)

TZO Sorors were appointed as committee chairmen for the 84th SERC (Soror Schermonique Taylor – Rededication Chairman, Soror Stephanie Barnes Taylor – DGSS Chairman, and Soror Angela Jupiter-McCon – Leadership, Legacy, Think HBCU Co-Chairman) (April – May) Participated in Community Impact Day – The Power to End Stroke. Soror Taniya Smith, Health Committee Chairman, presented the Power to End Stroke and Mental Illness Awareness to the senior citizens at the Jackson County Civic Action Senior Center in Moss Point (May) Soror Avonne Polk did a presentation for teachers on stress release techniques during stressful situations in partnership with Mental Health Services. Standards Chairman, Alchar Jackson, conducted surveys for the 2015 Founders’ Day, Pink Goes Red Skate Night, and TIPA (January – June) Sorors Bush and Thomas participated in the Strategic Planning webinar (May) Soror Barbara Thomas was appointed to the SERC Strategic Planning Committee (April) Awarded (2) $500 scholarships and (4) $3000 scholarships (May) Awarded a $1000 Think HBCU scholarship to a HS graduate attending Tougaloo College (May) Attended Explosion of Excellence Scholarship Night (May) Participated in service project at Loaves and Fishes and Mount Olive Baptist Church during the Anniversary Weekend (May) Attended Moss Point High School Class Night (Soror Inez DeShields [Scholarship Chairman], Ja’Leasa Walden, and Angela Jupiter-McCon) and presented scholarships (May) Soror Loretta Jennings attended Moss Point High School Class Night and presented MS Scholars Awards (May) Basileus participated in Cluster Planning Meeting (May) The first group of ASCEND participants graduated from the program (June) Participated in Environmental Ownership at Soror Ja’Leasa’s job and at the picnic (January – June)
