XCELLENCE COMMUNITY I want to personally take this time to THANK each of our Xcellence Community leaders, members, and supporters. We truly could not have embarked upon this monumental milestone without the love, prayers, and contributions, that each of you have made over the past 15 years. A special recognition of gratitude to each of our Executive Board Members who have labored tirelessly over the years to ensure that our mission, vision, and growth remain instrumental to meeting the leadership needs of communities globally. As I often mention, what started as a dream has become my life’s mission. I am happy to lead and serve you through our leadership, entrepreneurship, and partnerships.
On August 19, 2023, we held our ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Xcell4life center, located in Brownsville, Tennessee. The City of Brownsville is my hometown and for a little sidenote, it is also located within Haywood County, Tennessee, which is the home of the late “Annie Mae Bullock aka Tina Turner.” This moment was surreal as I looked around on the grounds to see our leaders, members, and supporters from near and far travel to be a part of our grand occasion. This event was only a glimpse of the historical 15-year Founder’s Day weekend of events. The weekend kicked off on Friday, August 18th, with our annual leadership conference, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, and the grand finale on Sunday with our gala. We celebrated and honored the “2023 Top 50 Global Leaders to Watch.” This 15-year celebration will be noted as one of our most historical weekend of events, and it was all because of you. We honor God for what He has graced us to do through this organization and its continuous impact on the world.

Wess Morgan
Congratulations Wess Morgan is a gospel and inspirational artist known for his powerful music and compelling life story. Born on September 5, 1973, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Wess has overcome numerous challenges and addictions to pursue a successful career in music.
He has released solo projects, including "Look at Me Now" and "Under an Open Heaven Volume 1." One of his notable songs, "I Choose to Worship," was named the BMI Gospel Song of the Year, along with debuting a Christmas project (EP) in 2023. He is excited to share his new 365 Devotional that will come out in Spring of 2024. Wess has made several appearances on Christian TV shows, including Bobby Jones Gospel, the MoNique Show, Gospel Superfest, and Super 6 Bowl Gospel Celebration.
He also appeared on BET's Sunday Best and hosted AFI's "Your Dream is Out There." Wess hosts an annual Recovery Fest, based in Tennessee at his parent’s church, and now in its third year, attracts thousands of people from all over the country. The Recovery Fest is all about celebration and determination. The road hasn’t been easy for Wess, but because of his unwavering love for God, he is certainly on the right path. “God put something special in me and He was going to get it out of me regardless. I love my time before audiences because I know what God has put inside of me is life changing. That’s why I love being on stage because I see the people being blessed and there’s nothing that can compare to it.” Xcellence, Inc. partnered with Wess Morgan for twelve years along with the Tennessee Department of Children Services Southwest Region to provide an Annual Christmas Concert to ensure that children within the foster care system would have a wonderful Christmas. It was an honor for our organization to recognize Pastor and Psalmist, Wess Morgan, with our Global 2023 Community Hero Award. We are thankful for his spiritual and community leadership efforts and 7 wish him much continued success.

Dr. STEPHANIE DAVIS Congratulations Stephanie Davis heads up all client accounts at EMPOWER MEDIA GROUP™️. In 2017, she was named “Communicator of The Year” by the Bespoke Communication Awards, where EMPOWER MEDIA GROUP™️also took home the distinction for best “Media Event” of the year in 2021, and she was also named one of the “50 GameChangers of PR” by Atlanta News. At EMPOWER MEDIA GROUP™️, she is on the ground working on the day-to-day initiatives for each and every one of our client campaigns, including media outreach, social impact, sponsorship procurement, and special event services. LASHAE BLACK
Lashae hosts a podcast show titled, “Elevate Your Life,” and is a Certified Spiritual Life Coach through Xcellence Leadership Institute. She feels one of her greatest accomplishments to date was overcoming fear. Per Lashae, my mentor, Dr. Angella Banks told me that, “The boogeyman wasn’t real.” It resonated in my spirit and allowed me to hold back no longer but to unleash the visions and dreams I was holding captive. As a podcaster, I am committed to helping other women and men heal, rebuild their lives, and elevate in life. When one commits to walking in their purpose wholeheartedly, their lives automatically begin to elevate and shift, and I am here to assist them along the way.

DONZALEIGH POWELL Donzaleigh is the President and CEO of D-Connex, LLC, located in LaVergne, Tennessee. Her mission statement is to positively impact one million people to become the best versions of themselves through training, coaching, entertainment, exposure, and connections. She prides herself on being a Christian influencer who uses her gifts to pour into her family and others while giving glory to God daily . She has over 14 years of professional experience in Workforce Development, Community Relations, 5 years of Diversity and Inclusion, and 14 years of Professional Photography. Most recently, she has expanded to hosting and emceeing small to large-scale events and two TV shows. In 5 years, she sees herself focusing on training Young Adults between the ages of 14-26 in Leadership and Life Skills. This is the area she is most passionate about and plans to continue into retirement. 9

BROOKE MCCAIN Brooke McCain was named the youngest Managing Editor of the Brownsville Press newspaper at 28 years old in 2018. Under her leadership, the Brownsville Press has gone on to win dozens of top awards from the Tennessee State Press Association, including General Excellence - the association’s highest honor. Per Brooke, “As a journalist, not only am I responsible for recording the history of my county, it’s also my responsibility to serve as a community watchdog, holding elected officials accountable and keeping the community informed. In a county where internet access is not guaranteed, local newspapers play a vital role in information accessibility.” In five years, the landscape of Haywood County is predicted to change drastically due to the development of Blue Oval City. I hope to still be at the forefront of reporting those changes, recording our history, and telling Haywood’s story.

Phoenix Ascar is a communications strategist, business coach, master trainer, speaker, and community leader. Phoenix is the Sr. Publicist and CEO of Luxe Diamond Enterprises, a full-service consulting, public & and media relations, business, and entertainment company that offers customized services for people, brands, and projects. She offers Consulting, Public Relations, Public Speaking, Media Relations, Business Coaching, Business Services, Entertainment Services, Red Carpet Production, Talent Booking, Event and expo Specialty, Mentorship, Master Trainer, Confidence Coaching, and is a Community Leader. Phoenix believes in putting God first and is passionate about making a positive difference and leaving an imprint and legacy while helping, educating, empowering, and elevating others. She volunteers some of her free time to individuals in need and organizations that are dear to her heart. DR. JACQUALA SHROPSHIRE Dr. Jacquala Shropshire is the Founder of the radio talk show, “Let’s Talk Kingdom.” She is based out of Oxnard, California, and has been in the media industry for years. Her focus has been to use both the radio and filmmaking projects to reach the masses about the goodness of God and to ensure they know about Jesus. She wants others to know how to spiritually function in God’s kingdom while on earth. For the past five years, she has used the platform to pour into people and keep them encouraged in their walk with God. Dr. Jacquala is indeed a Community Servant Leader as she has served 30 plus years serving individuals with physical and mental disabilities to become independent in living alone. She is also a minister of the gospel and is known for powerful inspirational messages. In 2019, she completed her first Christian film, “All Natural,” as an Executive Producer. Her goal is to continue to expand within the media industry by producing more Christian films and expanding her radio show.

MONIQUE WHITE
Monique White is the host of the television show, “Our Life.” The show was created to teach men and women that it is ok to remove their masks and be transparent about everything they deal with in Life. Monique’s story is different from others as her entry into the world of media was self-taught without a degree. She has sustained her career now for 13 years and streams on all TV streaming platforms as well as cable. “I have learned and grown so much over the years in this field.” Monique is the Media Manager for Onpoint Network as well as a Mental Health Advocate. One of her memorable highlights from her career was being asked to spotlight guests from Comcast/NBC. In the future, she would like to open a mental health facility in honor of her mother and host a national syndication show. 11

Congratulations Gregory L Hope serves faithfully as the Chief Apostle of Kingdom Now Global Alliance. Under this umbrella he provides Apostolic covering to senior-level leaders, business owners, and entrepreneurs throughout the nation. He also serves as the Sr. Pastor of Kingdom Now Church located in Grand Prairie Texas, along with his wife, Dr. Tangerine K. Hope. He embodies the foundational elements of leadership by assisting leaders to become adequate and efficient in their calling. The global alliance prides itself on fostering a conducive environment for both transformation and productivity. He measures the fruits of his works when he sees the harvest of his seeds he has sown into the Sons and Daughters of God. Apostle Gregory also has an entrepreneurial spirit. UNDRAE JOHNSON Pastor Undrae Johnson is the Lead Pastor of Family Life Fellowship church located in Brownsville, Tennessee. He is married to his beautiful wife Rena, is a father, grandfather, and community Leader. His ministry, Family Life Fellowship exists to declare and demonstrate a FAMILY full of LIFE with FELLOWSHIP through the Word of God. It is a word-centered ministry, supporting, and uplifting one another through unconditional love, changing mindsets, and empowering all people to lead and impact in every area of life. Dr Roxanne Brown is the Founder of RBM International formerly known as Kingdom Girl Ministries, located in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015, and operates daily, RBM Production Studio and Leadership Academy. She is the former Executive Director of National Black Mastermind Atlanta, HR Director for Americold Logistics 12 years and leading Daughters of Divine Promise Mentorship. Shas conquered many personal and spiritual obstacles on her kingdom journey, yet she is a true survivor and warrior after surviving domestic violence, breast cancer and a most recent stroke. She chooses to LEAD in the marketplace to build a legacy for the next generation. One of her primary principles is knowing when to say no to the 3 p's. People. Projects and Proclivity. LINDA HOUSDEN
Linda is well known as a community leader having received numerous awards over the years for her outstanding contributions to a variety of organizations such as the Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council, the Covina Police Department, Storm Team Outreach Mission Teams, to such countries as Africa, India, Kyrgyzstan, and the Bahamas. In addition, Linda was named one of two nurses in our entire nation nominated for the American Red Cross Ann Magnussen Award in 2009. She has been a First Responder for the Los Angeles Mayor's Crisis Response Team, for the past 18 years, receiving the Presidential award for her dedication to service. She lives discipleship, welcomes new challenges, and especially enjoys 1:1 ministry. She has coauthored 3 books to date. Linda and her deceased husband, Ted, fostered 22 infants in their home. Linda is currently the Public Relations Director of the growing tech company, Ijascode, based out of Oxnard, California, and the Community Liaison Director for Xcellence, Inc.

Dr. BYRON WILLIAMS
Dr. Byron Williams is the CEO of Solutions, LLC, based in Washington, D.C. In his most recent role, he served as Talent Acquisition, DoD Division at Oasis Systems. He is a Best-Selling Author, Veteran, Pastor, Career Coach, Life Coach, Researcher, and Speaker. Dr. Williams is a 22-year Air Force Veteran who retired in March 2009. In 2012, he founded and became the Senior Pastor of New Beginning Ministries. He is the Author of two Amazon best sellers, “The Promise is Still Valid,” and “These Ashes Will Not Define My Purpose.” He is no stranger to adversity as he suffered a stroke two days after submitting his doctoral dissertation for final review, which left him completely paralyzed on the right side of his body. Thirty days later he defended his dissertation to receive his Ph.D. Although he had faced both a valley and a moment of triumph, he once again faced a health crisis, as he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. God did it 14 again, his surgery was successful without radiation or chemotherapy.

Pastor Tumelo leads his church, Miracles, Signs, and Wonders Ministries, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The church is a Bible-believing church and their vision is pinned on Matthew 20:28, serving the Lord by serving others. Pastor Tumelo is a successful businessman as well as one who leads others to the light of Jesus Christ. His goal is to build an auditorium that will be God’s place for others to worship and have fellowship. Pastor Tumelo has made tremendous strides within his ministry and community. He is committed to continuing to build a stable team of accountable leaders, and visionaries, who can become pillars of strength for others in the community. Per Pastor Tumelo, “Leaders who contribute towards society can impact many lives and assist others in the fulfillment of purpose. I desire to produce other leaders to lead as well.”

Karen is the Founder and CEO of Gods Gal Knowing My Worth. The organization was birthed to empower and guide women into living a productive and stable life. To facilitate mindset changes to walk in their God-ordained plan and purpose. Per Karen, “I've worked in corporate America within the insurance industry for 30 years plus. My first book is due to be released this year 2024.” Karen is an international Motivational Speaker, Personal Shopper, and Stylist. In the future, she desires to own multiple transitional housing homes for women and their children. These homes will be for women who were formally incarcerated or left an abusive marriage or relationship. The homes will be located locally throughout the state of Texas, and other states, as well as in Ghana and Zimbabwe. 15

ANDRE JONES
Pastor André (AJ) Jones is passionate about ministry. He is committed to helping people believe that they can be forgiven, redeemed, and restored from anything they may have done “BC” (Before Christ). Pastor Jones challenges them to move from religion to an intimate relationship with Christ by teaching them the Word of God and how to use the promises they have in Him to deal with the challenges they face in their lives today. He is the former Senior Pastor of the Cullen Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, TX which was founded by Bishop Robert C. Jefferson in 1977. He was also the Senior Pastor of the historic, 126-year-old Spring Hill Baptist Church in Calvert, TX, and the founder of the AMEN Fellowship Church on the campus of Texas Southern University. In his “spare” time, Andre’ AJ Jones is fulfilling a dream as a Sports Director for several gospel radio stations around the state & and created a nationally syndicated Christian sports talk show called Faith In Sports. AJ Jones can also be found Monday through Friday from 12-1 pm central hosting The Lunch Break sports talk show powered by JM&E on ROKU TV in Houston.

Dr. JOANNE SAULSBERRY
Dr. Saulsberry's ministry/advocacy is, “Healing is Victory Support Group!” “It is dear to me because I can help newly affected men, women, and even children diagnosed with HIV/AIDS to overcome their fear of not being able to live a quality life,” said Dr. Saulsberry. She desires to give them hope while living with the disease that has been labeled ugly in the world. One of her greatest accomplishments was receiving her Honorary Doctorate in Humanitarianism in March 2022 and receiving the Torch Award in March 2023. Per Dr. Saulsberry, “These two awards have brought out the Champion in me that was hidden by fear.” Her plans include the expansion of HIV/AIDS awareness and resources internationally, even globally. She would like to be able to get funding and antiviral meds to countries that are not as fortunate as the USA.

Tia has been in ministry for over 23 years. She is licensed and ordained. She’s been able to integrate her spiritual calling into the world of acting as an incognito ministry. “We truly practice what we preach by showing the love of God to all who come in. They all come out stronger and better than the day they first joined,” said Ms. Talley. I believe a true leader helps followers become great leaders. That's my motto. I've been blessed to help others find their purpose and live out their dreams. I've been in film and TV for over 10 years inspiring and motivating beginning to seasoned actors/entertainers in the business. Quite a few have been on the big screen. They have gotten counsel, prayer, and life-changing words of wisdom to excel. I love helping and inspiring others to live on purpose. I see myself traveling the globe life coaching and mentoring talent more than just here in Atlanta. My favorite saying is each one reaches one! Take the time to teach one. 17

Ambassador Sherry Self is the founder of Sherry Self Ministries, and Kingdom Image Network, LLC. She is an Inspirational Speaker, Purpose Coach, and Mentor. She is married to Harry Self and has three adult children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian Counseling from the International College of Ministry. She is a people person and can communicate compelling messages with simplicity. She demands her audience with zeal and a fiery anointing. She is patient, compassionate, creative, and more. Sherry Self Ministries is an apostolic hub ministry that has a mandate to teach and preach purpose living. She hosts powerful workshops and vision board sessions as well as group and 1:1 coaching and mentor sessions. They use godly principles to support women in ministry and/or marketplace to gain more clarity with their God-given purpose. In five years, she hopes to be on the path of purchasing her own TV Studio, where she will have serval studios within the building and a large conference room for multimedia needs.

Pastor Tariq is the Pastor of Grace Ministries in Lahore Pakistan. He has committed his life to working for the Lord, for the edification of the body of Christ. Through his faith-based activities, crusades n conferences, he teaches others how to become Next Gen church leaders. Under the umbrella of “Women of Grace” ministries, he encourages and counsel women in their everyday life issues, specifically abuse, and blesses those who are under privileged families n widows with grocery hampers. He has committed himself to the greater works of God by being on the front lines advocating for Christianity in Pakistan. His future goals include establishing a free education school system for under privileged children, continue working for women development and empowerment in Pakistan. He will also be working to provide legal assistance to abused women, advocate for women trafficking and work to stop prostitution in the region. 18

Cornelius Edwards is no stranger when it comes to giving God the glory... This anointed man of God has had the opportunity to act in numerous gospel stage plays, and appear on TBN sharing the stage with Tye Tribbett, Javen Campbell, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Travis Greene, Kierra Sheard, and Anthony Brown... Mr. Edwards has also been given the opportunity to set the atmosphere in worship before Dr. Juanita Bynum and Pastor Marvin L Sapp preached the word of God. Cornelius has an extensive resume for opening up for Kelontae Gavin, LeAndria Johnson, Jj Hairston, Zacardi Cortez, James Fortune, Jonathan Nelson, Myron Butler, and many others. Most importantly Mr Edwards is deeply in love with Jesus Christ and you'll feel it as he pours out his worship to the Lord straight from his heart & soul... Community Leadership Conference Highlights Memphis, Tennessee
Xcellence, Inc. hosted its National Leadership Conference in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 18, 2023. The event was full of powerful speakers from across the country. They spoke on various topics and industry specializations. Speakers who presented were, Toney Jenkins and Dr. Danielle Butts Jenkins from the Los Angeles, California area; Dr. Tangerine K. Hope from the Dallas Fort Worth, Texas area, Dr. Sabrina Dean from the Dayton-Cincinnati, Ohio area; Lashae Black from the Daytona, Florida area; Dr. Venus Miller from the Miami, Florida area; Dr. Monica Dunnagan from the Nashville, Tennessee area; and lastly, Dr. Sonja Lowe from the Houston, Texas area. The attendees received valuable knowledge to take with them back to their respective communities and societal leadership roles. Xcellence, Inc. focuses on community leadership and entrepreneurial support. Year after year, we gather as a community of servant leaders from all walks of life and professions; to learn, train, network, and have fun. Memphis, Tennessee, did not disappoint as the day ended with our leaders sailing along the Mississippi River. They enjoyed the buffet, laughter, camaraderie, and entertainment as they created memories while the sunset amongst the waters. We look forward to continuing our annual tradition in a new community in 2024. VANESSA MAXWELL Congratulations Vanessa is an upcoming and rising Solopreneur and Nurseprenueur in the medical community in the MidSouth Memphis area. She is the CEO of Wound Care Solutions by Vanessa. Her expertise is in wound, ostomy, and continence care. She is a Registered Nurse of 20 years and is the only Wound Care Nurse at her facility and the only black wound care nurse in her system. She is a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority Incorporated and has served as a member and treasurer of the local chapter Chi Chi Chi since 2019. Through her business, Wound Care Solutions by Vanessa, she offers some "pro bono" cases on a need-by-need basis to assist patients who may be uninsured or underinsured. In Fall 2023, she began her studies to receive a post-master certificate to become an Adult Gerontological Primary Care Nurse Practitioner.

ROBERT CALLERY
Four years ago, Robert Callery along with his wife Brandi opened Faith Family Medical Clinic located in Brownsville (Haywood County), Tennessee. Haywood County is identified as a healthcare disparity area with few options for primary care providers per capita for medical management based on the county’s population. Deciding to open a medical clinic in Haywood County was initially seen as a challenge but became one of their greatest successes. Nurse practitioners are now carrying out more primary and urgent care encounters than any MDs in America. There are not many MDs in primary care anymore and this has opened the door for nurse practitioners to fill that gap. “I feel that my professional work view is different than some. I can be anything from a counselor, mentor, or a health coach to help guide my patients through the process of living life to the fullest despite having chronic diseases,” said Robert. In 5 years, Robert hopes to continue making a difference and impact in narrowing the healthcare gap and disparities in Haywood County while changing mindsets, outlooks on life, and the overall health of the community through generational change.

He is currently part of a two-party Command Team with oversight of more than 600 Service Men and Women of the Tennessee National Guard, while maintaining a dual career in Federal Law Enforcement with the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Budget Analyst/ Acting Business Administrator. CSM Goode has shown exceptional service to the United States Army with 31 years of service; 10 years Active and 21 with the Tennessee National Guard as a Military Police Officer. Community Leadership Conference Highlights
On Saturday, August 19, 2023, the new Xcell4life Multiplex Center, which is now home to Xcellence, Inc. headquarters, opened its doors to the residents of Haywood County and its global leaders. This day was the manifestation of many prayers from the past two years. The desolate and abandoned property had been vacant since 2008. What was once a thriving assisted living facility, closed its doors in 2007, and had become an eyesore to the community with high weeds, and much building deterioration.
Our founder, Dr. Angella Banks, set her sights on the building while still employed as a bank manager. However, due to the cost of the facility at the time, she placed it on her dream wish list and continued with life. However, it stayed at the forefront of her memories. During the pandemic, God gave her the green light to pursue it again and this time she was favorable to secure a deal. The Xcellence community quickly rallied behind her and the renovations of the 12-year vacant building began. The ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighted a new educational partnership with Strategic Growth Leaders Bible University, based in Houston, Texas. The founders, Dr. Sonja Lowe and Dr. Marietta Willis announced that the new center will also house an educational growth room, which allows the residents of Haywood County to receive accredited degrees from an Associate to a Ph.D.
The day was a success as business vendors raved about their sales and the level of support from the attendees. The music sponsor and DJ, Mr. Evans Sturdiant, kept the crowd entertained as performances by JL SouLink and William “Tee” Rainer serenaded the audience. A surprise from the steppers of Alpha Fraternity (Lane College, Tennessee) was a welcomed treat for all to see. We want to personally thank all from near and far who supported this giant undertaking to create a new reality of success for our organization. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by for a tour. Julian Anderson McTizic, Sr., is a native of Bolivar, a rural town in Hardeman County, Tennessee. On July 1st, 2017, at the age of thirty, he was sworn in as the youngest, and first African-American elected Mayor of the City of Bolivar. Prior to becoming mayor, he served as a city councilman for four years. On May 18, 2021, Mayor McTizic was re-elected to the office of Mayor by the largest margin in the recorded history of Bolivar. McTizic is also a member of various local civic groups. He is a Paul Harris Fellow in the Bolivar Chapter of Rotary International, a member of the Bolivar General Hospital Healthcare Foundation, the NAACP, and the Joint Economic and Community Development Board. In his elected position, he is a member of the Young Elected Officials where he serves as the State Director for Tennessee.
