Women of Xcellence in Ministry Welcome to the Spring 2017 Issue of Xcellence Community Magazine. I am especially proud to be featured on the cover of this issue, celebrating Women in Ministry. Being a woman in ministry, I empathize with the journey in which we are all called. This issue is sure to be one of inspiration and powerful connections. I encourage each of you to reach out to each of these women across the country and let us support you and get involved in each other’s ministry and works. I do not feel that the multitude of individuals understand how challenging it can be to walk in the purpose and visions of God. On one side you want to do things your way and on the other side God is nudging you to go the opposite direction. That direction is often times, the one less traveled and is one of great sacrifice and discipline. I, personally would like to say “THANK YOU” for choosing a less popular path, but yet making what you do in the eyes of others easy. Although, the journey comes with many twists, turns, and unexpected surprises, continue the unchartered course of success. Success is not all measured in dollars and cents! I know many miserable individuals who felt that money could make them happy. You, my sister, are living an abundant life, because it is not one of your own. Rather you know me personally or not, please know that I am committed to seeing you be successful in the greater works that God has called has called you to in pursuing pursue.

The Great Awakening: Women in Ministry is on the Rise! Yes, it is true that we can easily reference great women from the bible, but God has equipped a new generation of women leaders in ministry and they are armed and equipped to use their gifts and talents to bless the Kingdom of God. As women continue to lead in business, education, and the community, they are also shifting ministry in an impactful way. According to Barna (2017), there is a slow and steady rise of female pastors. One of every 11 Protestant pastors is a woman, which is triple as many as there was 25 years ago. With this steadily increasing rise in women ministry, it is even more important that women leaders in ministry connect and support each other. Whatever women do, they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. This should come as no surprise as this is a traditional thought process and remains an antiquated way of thinking today in women’s ability to lead. Xcellence, Inc. continues to focus on the grassroots, unmet, and under acknowledgment of leaders across this country and abroad. As the Founder, President, and CEO of Xcellence, Inc. and a woman in ministry, I felt it was only appropriate to share this platform with those women who are in the trenches everyday using their gifts, and giving them back to world, in order to build up and edify the Body of Christ. I pray that you enjoy this special issue and connect with the many women featured. Many more great things are in store for Women of Xcellence in Ministry, including the beginning planning stages of a conference, book, and much more to support and celebrate the women standing on the front lines in both church and the marketplace interceding, praying, trusting, and working to make this world a better place. If you are interested in joining our movement, please call 1-888-983-1672 ext 1 or visit www. xcellenceinc.org today. God Bless, Dr. Angella Banks

I am a dreamer and I love helping others to “Dream Big.” It was less than a year ago when I began to ask God what was next for my life and who I was to him. I have always known I was special to him; however, I, like many others had pre-determined what I wanted to do in life. The only difference was I was in the final days of completing my doctoral degree, in which God had spoken to me and said that I would use it for the Body of Christ. This question was not one of urgency initially as I had been in school for 5 years pursuing the degree. I was too focused on the journey to be concerned about the final destination of it. I will never forget the day that I was talking to God and said, OK, so I’m a Coach.
months, and me seeking his face in fasting and prayer that small pieces of revelation began to come. The first words I heard clearly was “Duplicate Yourself!” Scared at the thought, I was unsure what the Holy Spirit meant. What I was sure about was that I had to be obedient. It then became more clear day by day that he was positioning me for a move of God that was a Gamechanger in the coaching industry. The task was more than to simply coach but to use coaching as a life-changing experience for everyone involved in the process. Today, I am proud to say and announce that I have completed two full classes of iDream Certified Coaches. The program itself is uniquely designed and only one that God could have creatively designed, as I just don’t feel that I am smart enough. The iDream Certification program is an eight week long course for individuals desiring to walk in their calling and gifts by simultaneously coaching, guiding, and leaders others to theirs using a mixed methodology of foundational biblical principles, life coaching, and business strategies to evoke change. Those characteristics of the program are nice, but what makes me smile even
It was in that moment that he assured me that I was not just a coach, but he had called me to do something greater. Me, like many others heard his voice but began to use a model of coaching like many others in the marketplace. That was, until….he in the blink of an eye began to not allow it to prosper. I was confused, frustrated, and was totally clueless about what I was supposed to do next. It did not happen immediately, but over a course of time, expanding about 6

more is the mere fact that each of the Certified iDream Coaches received specializations that speaks to their own deliverance, life’s story, and challenges they have faced in life. Therefore, from Day 1, they become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in their own lives and use it to minister to others, while monetizing their gifts that God has given.
University. I am also the Publisher of this great magazine, an author, philanthropist, inspirational speaker, and the proud mom of my beautiful princess, Aniya. The level of success that I have been blessed to receive, was not solely because of my gifts and talents, but because of my obedience, sacrifice, and the decision to be a willing vessel to God. I am one who moves with a sense of urgency, because my only desire is to hear God say, “Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant,” and to know that did my very best to “Die Empty and Live a Full Life!” I encourage you to do the same.
In such a short amount of time, I have seen lives transformed immediately during coaching calls and sessions. It is marketplace ministry at its best and the transformation that takes place within both the coach and the coachee’s life is one of joy and happiness. In addition to the iDream Coaching Certification Program, I have a small group of individuals that I coach to fulfill their life’s purpose and develop, package, and present their gifts and ministries to the world. Although, the iDream Brand is in its infancy stages, it is surely one that take this nation by storm and make a huge impact in the Body of Christ and the lives of others. My all new iDream University, which provides a mixture of courses for leaders in the areas of business, career, spiritual, and leadership will launch on June 5th. I am excited to be the Founder, President, and CEO of both Xcellence, Inc. and iDream

LaTasha Stanley is the Founder of LaTasha Stanley Ministries. Her organization is based out of Jackson, Tennessee and specializes in empowering women and spiritual healing. The vision of LaTasha Stanley Ministries incorporates re-defining individuals to live a healthy, spiritual, financial, and a mental free life. The organization’s mission is to inspire others to overcome their adversity through teaching, coaching, empowering and leading others to believe and trust Gods Love. We desire to motivate others in all walks of life, so they can better connect with their families, communities, marketplace, and kingdom ministry. Our key focus is to assist anyone through transition and mentor them into a successful place. God tells us in His Word that He wants us to be healthy, whole, and free. LaTasha Stanley Ministries was birthed out of painful childhood experiences, which shaped and molded LaTasha into the woman she is today. Although, she has forgiven and been healed, God placed it on her heart and gave her purpose out of her pain. In Isaiah 61, the prophet proclaimed that the Messiah would bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives, release prisoners from darkness, and comfort all who mourn. The hearts and spirits of abuse survivors have been crushed. They are prisoners of darkness living in shame and fear. Like the Good Samaritan, we are mandated to tend to those who have been beaten, robbed of their innocence and dignity, and left discarded by the road side. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and set them free. LaTasha is a Certified iDream Coach from iDream University, and also the owner of Greater Guide Travels, in which she plans family and business vacations and travel for individuals across the country. She is a motivational speaker and is currently booking for one-on-one coaching sessions and wordwide travels @ LaTashaStanleyMinistries@gmail.com or call 1-800-435-8219.

THREE ONE 6, LLC WHAT IS IT?
First and foremost, it is a ministry that mentors the soul. The organization was founded my me and my husband, David Cain. It based on two experiences. The first experience is from John 3:16, for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. The second experience that drove the creation of the organization came from my husband’s high school experience. As one of the last schools to desegregate in Michigan, he had to take a 20-mile bus ride to a mostly White school. Each day, he would reluctantly board the school bus, and the driver of Bus number 316, would often say “get on this bus, you’ve got someplace to go”.
WHAT DO WE DO? Simply, our mission is to encourage people around the world to “Be Strong” in their faith and to believe in themselves. The Be Strong campaign is based on Ephesians 6:10 – “Finally Brethen, be strong in the courage of the Lord.”
HOW DO WE DO IT?
Matthew 28:19 encourages us to make disciples “as we go.” We believe that nothing can be as simple as “as we go.” As we go about our day and its activities, we seek to encourage people. Whether its in the grocery store, in the mall, in the library….or just walking in the neighborhood. A popular tool that we use to promote the making of disciples as we go is our “Be Strong campaign” which is highlighted by the free giveaway of a 2 inch beige wristband that is embossed with the words “Be Strong Eph 6:10” around the circular path in bold letters. As my husband and I travel around the world, we give away wristbands to anyone that we feel could use the encouragement needed the encouragement. We have “Be Strong” members in Israel, Canada, Brazil, Peru, Mexico, and many states in the US.
HOW DOES THIS CONNECT WITH WCA INTERIORS?
In addition to being part owner of Three One 6, WCA Interior’s mission fits well with Three One 6. While WCA is about designing and redesigning the interior of residential and commercial spaces to inspire the soul, so does Three One 6 whose mission is to “make you the best you that you can be.” Your home should be your Sanctuary , my main focus is to create harmony and balance. My main focus is to invite a secure and healthy and beautiful space. Through power of layout of design and placement of furniture or selection of wall color with the element of inclusion of natural elements . When I consult with clients I first listen to their deserves . I then ask question the personal question . What are your habits , are there places you like to travel , what do you like to do do? I realize often people know what they what , they just don know how to put it together. I get to help people bring their visions of what want to life . I also do my best to create it with the space and their budget . “Uniquely design into their Sanctuary “

FROM THE DESK OF
Elder Yvonne Sangster Obadiah 1:17 17But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Mt. Zion Church, 838 S. Tipton, Covington, TN 38019 Assistant Pastor, Mt. Zion Church I not only minister to people through God’s word, I reach out through our music ministry as well, a leader in the Praise Team and choir. God touched our Bishop to allow me to head the Women’s Ministry. That has always been a joy to me because I’ve seen so many women struggle with different situations. Mt. Zion is a spiritual hospital where souls can be healed and God guides me to work as a leader on that staff. I’m first a wife of one husband, two children and five grandchildren, with that in mind it shows my job is never done. I have, to pray without ceasing. Since God chose me to sow a spiritual seed on “Good” ground using our vision to Pray, Encourage, Equip, Teach and Serve, as a true woman of God. My goal is always to show the women of God how to live a life of Faith through prayer and supplication. In Titus 2:4 Paul exhorted that the older women should teach the young women, this ministry is for “All Women” (single, married, widow, teenagers). May is celebrated for Women’s month, it’s not only for Mother’s Day, it’s a time that we take to fellowship more on one accord. We normally have a prayer breakfast and seminar to encourage and have fun in the Lord. We’ve already had some positive outcomes in our ministry. 1. Joy & Sorrow night, where we met had fun, ate, and some shared and was delivered 2. Prayer Breakfast, where my aim was to encourage prayer and we simulated a prayer wall and prayers were answered, there were even young girls, that had answered prayers from the wall. 3. We have had “Speak Out” short talks from women that encouraged others and prayers and scriptures from others that normally don’t speak that have touched others. 4. The Calendar Tea, women come together and from all birth months and prepare food and we sale plates to raise money, which always seems to be a success. 5. Some of the women head the Mission Outreach Ministry The women’s ministry attendance has grown from 10 to 30 at our last event, there is “Power” in a praying Woman. Mt. Zion also, celebrates Assistant Pastor Love month in the month of May, giving honor to me as the Assistant Pastor, even though I do not expect things for recognition, God has always Blessed! I see God doing great things in this ministry through me. My next goal is to begin a women’s bible study called “Just Between Us” and take a women’s fellowship trip to Eureka Springs, AR, to The Great Passion Play. God, gets the glory for so many Awesome, situations at Mt. Zion and I Expect him to do more. He blesses exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think…

She recalls a morning commute after dropping of the kids and a real-life come to Jesus type of conversation of what her life would start to look like after the kids were grown and off to college. That conversation began a floodgate of additional questions and probing of what was

She holds a Doctoral in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from Argosy University. Dr. Jackie holds many prestigious titles, among them are some in which she is extremely proud. It is possible to achieve victory in areas that once seemed impossible. I want them to know that they really can Do It,” said Dr. Jacqueline Knight. She is an advocate for second chance programs for individuals who have been a product of the correctional system, feeling bad about themselves, or need a push. She reminds them that they do not have to remain a victim of that system. She continues to press towards the mark to make progress in changing the way in which previously incarcerated individuals do not have to stay in bondage by bars once released and staying the course with the individual. Dr. Jackie said, “I want to meet them right where they are, encourage them regardless of their situation, and be a helping hand to them in a time of isolation and transition.” Dr. Jackie’s leadership skills and contributions in the Market Place is outstanding. common bond in leading the next generation of women to maximize every opportunity, including an essential one, which is to network and support others and give back along the way. “Networking can be more valuable than money. Without it, it limits the ability for exponential growth both personally and professionally,” agrees both Evelisse and Nikki. Their workshops offer various educational, resourceful, engaging, and valuable information to its audiences to strengthen and further nurture leadership skills and networking abilities. 5 Ways to Identify Your Purpose 1.Something Feels Off and It Feels Right! Many individuals know and feel that something is off, however they are unsure of what it is. I can remember knowing from day one that I wanted to be a teacher, however after a short stint in traditional education, knew that I had missed my calling in life. That arena of teaching was not for me, and it felt wrong and I immediately remember feeling I was off track. It wasn’t until I was blessed with the opportunity to teach at the collegiate level, that my passion was rebirthed. Because of that re-ignition in the right place and at the right time, I realized that it was teaching all along, but just not in the path I had previously chosen. Today, I teach in the non-traditional arena, and recently launched my own iDream University. (www. idreamofme.org) 2. Who Am I? Asking yourself this question, will start to open a deeper level of thinking and discovery to identify who you are as an individual and what special gifts and talents you possess. Many people live their entire lives asking themselves this one valuable question. Knowing who you are immediately adds a sense of purpose and direction to an individual’s life. In my coaching practice, I often times ask the question, “Who are you?” and in most instance an individual will respond by telling me about what they do. If this is you, it’s time to seek God for clarity and to begin a discovery process within to know who you are in the Body of Christ. This discovery process will begin to teach you to take accountability for what the word of God says about you and who you are to him. 3. It Isn’t Easy! Unknowingly we are creatures of habit! We develop routines, and those routines produce habits. You are not challenged in what you do; you just feel that you do it well. Honestly, it’s no longer a challenge for you. You are comfortable and not seeking to alter your life. When you begin to identify your purpose, it becomes a challenge for you, but it is well-worth it. Walking in your purpose or calling is not an easy task. Matter of fact, many days can be overwhelming and feel like a daunting never-ending task. However, you wouldn’t trade the way it makes you feel nor the way it makes others feel. Only purpose has the ability to make one stay the course and continually retract the amount of challenges, sacrifices, and the rewards that comes from walking in their purpose. 4. Others Identify Your Gifts Before You Do! Have you often times received excessive compliments over a gift that you possess. This is a gift or talent that others identify before you do. You are unaware of it, because you do it effortlessly. Monitor these compliments and begin to ask those individuals additional questions. Why do you always compliment me about my(….singing, teaching, craft)? How does it make you feel when I operate in my gift? These questions will begin the entry-level discovery of identifying your gifts, and a probing avenue to find out how to give the world more of it. 5. You Have the Ability to Monetize It! This may be the easiest way to identify your gift. Why? Because you recognize that a gift or talent you possess has the ability to pay you well. The challenge here is individuals only believing that their gift has the ability to pay them smaller amounts and not generation wealth. Not all individuals who make money using their gifts realize that it may also be linked to their purpose. Although it has the ability to make money, these individuals will still need to go through a discovery process to unveil how the gift can be utilized to bless the Body of Christ. Each of the gifts God has given us, is linked to our individual roles in the Body of Christ to be a help and a blessing to others.

“I walk in my authenticity and transparency, I am an open book. What you see is who you get,” said Coach Karren Todd! Those were the very first words she spoke during our interview. Life in itself has taught me that life and every day, the time in which we have all been granted is valuable and priceless,” said Karren. When asked what is next for Karren, the lady in which I call the Memphis Celebrity Coach, she laughs aloud and says, “I don’t know about all that, but on May 13, 2017, I graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree of Distinction with Summa Cum Laude honors. In November, 2016, after being led from God, she resigned from her role as Sr. Associate Pastor of New Direction Church and began a walk of faith in which she had preached and guided many others to do for over eight years. She felt the tug at her heart and knew that God was shifting her to a new place. The transition has not been easy, but Coach Karren has made a commitment to fulfill life in its greatest capacity.
